Hello liveblog viewers, it's been a while! We were both busy last weekend, but now we're back for more xenoblade. The roommate decided to postpone sidequests for now and return to the main plot, much to my delight!

The cutscene as you enter Valak Mountain spawned some rapid theorizing (and I have some thoughts about it too that I'll share later), most of which I expected (trying to figure out what the Face Mechon's relationship to memory is, picking up on that Meyneth is very old and has met Zanza before, etc)

I am most definitely testing my roommate's patience by continually calling the geyser a "geezer". And I will not stop.

Oh ok fun fact: my roommate is a geologist. She has some Complaints about the idea of taking a quick stroll through lava to grab some item orbs

Ah and we're back to the ramifications of my accidental spoilers. After the scene in Ose Tower with Alvis, roommate is now theorizing that Shulk's death will be not just a plain heroic sacrifice but somehow tied into the main plot with the Monado. She's still certain that it'll be a heroic sacrifice though :,)

I sighed as I stared at my watch, I had been waiting for nearly 15 minutes and he still wasn't here. Did he change his mind and decide few didn't want any part in this? Was he just playing a cruel prank on me? Was he-

"Sorry I'm late," came a wheeze from behind me. Startled I whirled around, only to come face to face with none other than Nishimura Riki. "It's fine," I assured him. At least he had tried to make it here on time, signified by his heavy breathing. "Shall we get down to business?" I asked."Are we going to eat against the Huns it drafting a dating contract?" He laughed, eyebrow raised. I chuckled at his joke before walking towards a bench and taking a seat, followed by him.

"okay so how do we do this?" He asked. "Do you seriously not know how to draft a contract?" "I never paid attention to my business teacher." I sighed before suggesting we make some basic rules. "Good idea, rule number one, nobody else can know that this relationship is fake," he suggested. I winced and said "we may have a problem with that, my whole friend group kinda knows that we're not really don't and they're bound to get suspicious if we suddenly say we're dating." "Are they likely to spill secrets?" I firmly shook my head. "Then we should be fine, just try not to tell anyone else," he teased.

"Rule number 2, we have to make this believable," I suggested. He nodded, "how do we do that?" " Post about each other often, but not too often, otherwise it just looks plastic." " What if I drop you too school and walk with you too and from classes as well? That's what they do in dramas." I nodded " good idea, also me calling you Ni-Ki isn't going to do this fake relationship any favors, and Y/N isn't the most cute name either." "Call me Riki then, only my hyungs and my family call me that, and what if I call you...babe?" I nodded, trying to ignore the blood rushing to my cheeks when he called me babe.

"It would also be good if we could hold hands and stuff like that, it helps sell the relationship," I spoke with flushed cheeks. He nodded and suggested that we make a list of allowed skinship. "Allowed skinship includes holding hands and hugging. No kissing!" He snatched my notebook on which I was making notes to scratch out the no kissing rule and changed it to kiss if necessary. "We never know what's gonna be needed to sell the relationship," he smirked.

"Rule number 3, no catching feelings," I stated. "Agreed, it would make the whole arrangement awkward. If either of us starts to catch feelings, we tell each other and end it." I nodded scribbling this down in my notebook. "It appears that we have a contract." We shook hands and signed the page in my notebook. "We should probably post on Twitter to confirm our relationship," I suggested. He stood up and offered me a hand as he dug his phone out of his back pocket.

He linked it hands together and snapped a photo, appearing satisfied. He showed me the photo, and asked "is this alright?" I nodded. "What one should I take?" I asked. He thought for a second smirking and grabbing my phone. He tapped a lady on her shoulder before adding her to take a photo, before running back to be. I watched in confusion but smiled anyway as the woman aimed the camera at us. He quickly pulled me in and wrapped his arms around me, caging me in his embrace. After a moments hesitation I wrapped my arms around his torso. "Is this okay?" He murmured. I gulped and nodded. A few seconds later the lady gave us back my phone. "you two are so cute!" She gushed. "You remind me of my husband and I when we were younger!" I flushed but thanked her regardless.

That evening he dropped me home, glanced around and left a peck on my cheek. "Your parents are staring out the window," he whispered in my ear. I nodded before fixing his scarf and entered my house.

You were used to blending into the background. So it felt strange when people watch you walk through the halls with wide eyes and whispers. As you hurry to get to your classroom and away from all the eyes on you, you trip and stumble into someone, both of you falling to the floor.

"Purple?" The boy wheezes as he tries to catch his breath. The boy, who you recognize as the student council president, squints at you. "The school rules-"

"I know who you are," you interrupt him. This was getting ridiculous. All it took was hair dye and contacts to make everyone think you were a new person? "We've been in the same school since we were toddlers. I'm Y/N?"

"Oh? Oh. Oh! That's why you looked familiar!" Donghyuck grins. "With your hair purple and out of your face, I could barely tell it was you. And your-" He waves his hand over his own eyes and gestured to you. "What happened to you over break?"

Donghyuck was about to say something when Jaemin shows up.

He furrows his brows as he tries to place you. "Ah, nice to meet you? Are you new here?"

"Y/N," a soft voice calls out. You turn around to find the History Club President behind you. "Good morning!"

You're not sure if you should be offended or not, so you ignore him, and greet your senior instead. "Good morning, Jungwoo! We have a club meeting today, right?"

Jungwoo's gentle smile and nod seems the same as always, and the tension you've felt since morning fades a little.
