Rin Murasame wasn't a deserter, per se. Officially she was still a Captain in Cerberus’ ranks, but she no longer answered any orders, nor was she stationed anywhere. Truth be told, it wasn’t that unusual in the grand scheme of things. A fair number of second generation revenants who had been conscripted were still officially part of squads and battalions, but had left the military behind once the Queen was put down. 

The place that she differed from rank and file revenants was her status as Captain , as well as her exemplary records for Lost extermination. She and her squad had been the highest rank and most effective in their field, and Cerberus was loath to lose someone like her. She hadn't given them a choice on the matter, and left with Mukuro when she had become disillusioned with Cerberus. She was already apprenticing under her at the time, in lieu of taking on more missions, so it was the only logical choice really. Besides, Vein was always in need of blacksmiths.

I was reading some item descriptions and got inspired. A direct continuation to the last chapter, since that one was getting a tad long. After this I might add in some more character interactions rather than move on with the plot, I'm not sure yet.

Lore Flashbangs in my Code Vein OC Lore

Because I've been getting autistic about this game and my oc again I'll throw in some out of context OC lore about Shade because I find it fun. And a ref so you can see them :0

-Taken from their parent when they were a child by the government -Personally victimized by Juzo Mido -Their upper body is mostly scars -Gives everyone nicknames, specifically ones like "Yakky Boy" for Yakumo -Slept through the entirety of Queenslayer -Woke up in the Howling Pit to Coco with a Shotgun/ -Has a literal rabid mode they can't control -Can't ride a bike or swim, can walk in heels -Bit into a Blood Bead from the side -Ironically their parents are both canonically alive -Has most of their memories but doesn't realize it

And most importantly... -More scared of Rin Murasame than the Hunter.
