Gina getting both Ricky and the movie made me so happy. It seems simple but usually in media is like “she gets the movie and leaves her romantic partner because she’s a girl boss” or “she choses the boy because the movie will never be as real as their love” but why not have both?! It also goes with the whole balance for Gina. She’s both a huge romantic goofball and a determinate ambitious girl and even if it would be a little unrealistic in real life. I love that she got her happy ending with the promise of both.
