-so age hc: Kai is 27, Rio is 16 (programmed that way anyway, physically speaking he was built 3 years ago)

-so like naturally having an adult and his teen brother is. Already asking for chaos

-Rio is!! Very unhinged but in a fun way. He does a lot of ‘pranks’, he’s the classic annoying younger sibling, he likes fighting a lot- but it’s all in good nature he swears.

-Also in terms of a no death-game au- he does in fact have positive emotions. He just chooses to be a nuisance for funsies.

-Kai and Ranger may seem like they hate each other but the second someone picks on one the other will be attacking for their sake.

-Kai is the one who makes food. Ranger would burn the house down.

-Kai helps Ranger not feel so inferior to humanity!! He helps Rio feel more ‘human’ n stuff y’know!

-Ranger has a habit of randomly giving Kai cryptic gifts of unknown origins and probably weren’t obtained legally. Like a crow or a cat. Mostly a crow tho he gets a lot of shiny stuff.

Quick Blog Update

I have ~10 asks in my inbox. I’d classify four of them as “difficult” (as in, they require me to think creatively!) and the rest as “medium.” I might be able to write quick responses to some of them, but I still need to find time and energy. (I never have those things at the beginning of the week, since I have to go into work.) I try to write the best answers I can and this is why it takes me a while to respond.

I’m taking a break from work at the end of the month, which should give me more time to write fun things. I’m hoping to use it to write more fanfiction! This might also distract me from answering folks’ questions, but fanfiction is for my heart while your questions are for my mind, and I need to indulge my heart too. (I’d like to catch up on reading more fics too!)

One other thing I’d love to do is to finally write a meta post detailing my thoughts and theories about Midori, because I have a LOT of them! He consumes a lot of my brain space these days, haha. (Wow, what a Shin Mood.) Even though Midori is still so mysterious, we can draw parallels between him and other characters like Rio Ranger, Kai, Joe, and of course Shin himself. I’m intrigued what those parallels could mean! I feel like I talk a lot about Midori with other people in private, and I’ve gained a lot of insight from those conversations (I’m very grateful to folks who share their brilliant ideas with me!), but I still need to write a post nailing all those thoughts down...

I am excited about all the questions in my inbox, and I hope I can write worthy answers for you all as soon as possible. :)
