🎵 "Rise and shiiiiiine! Happy birthday!" 🎵 Layla sang in a soft and gentle voice as she made her way towards her dad's bed while holding up a tray. It was still pretty early so she tried her best not to cause too much noise. On the tray was a plate of homemade pancakes with whipped cream and colorful sprinkles right on top. There was also a smaller cup of cut up fruits, a cup of warm milk.. and a pair of cupcakes! Birthday themed, of course.

He sits up with confusion, rubbing his eyes and looking toward where he heard his daughter chime. He isn't sure what she wants, or what she even said, but he's going to--

... he sees the tray.

Everything in his mind stops in its tracks, his eyes widening. A plate of pancakes, cup of fruit.. and cupcakes? But why would she prepare that today? It's not--
