So from what I could gather from the trailer (and IMDB), it seems that we're multiple generations away from Ceaser and Cornelius and all the rest of the OG apes that we knew. We're following new apes, new factions, new political stife within the world of apes. Humans have become more savage and huntable for either slaves or playthings. The apes have formed kingdoms. It also seems like the apes, since the death of Ceaser, have sort of proselytized him, kinda like how the OG films did.
But what really caught my eye is the symbol that one of the newer apes wears.
It's Ceaser's window. It's the window from his attic bedroom. The one he used to look out of when he was younger, before the fall of civilization.
They turned his window into a religious symbol.

Planet of the Apes Playlists
I got bored, and made these for fun. Edit: I've included more playlists.
Noa
Noa's playlist was one of the hardest to make. 😅
Proximus Caesar
Ngl, he was the easiest one for making a playlist, lol 😂 😂😂. Aaaand I just realized I gave him a lot of Disturbed songs, too. Should they be Proxi's "theme" band?
Mae
Mae's playlist was also hard to make. 😅
POTA Fan Playlist
A mix of different songs that remind me of Planet of the Apes. I definitely made this after the teaser trailer dropped.
Mae x Noa
Why yes, I did cave in and made a somewhat romantic playlist for Mae and Noa. 😅🥰💖
Caesar
Forget what I said about Mae and Noa. THIS MFer was the hardest to find songs!!!!
Koba
A new playlist, guys!!! This time for Koba! (And why is it that the two angry bonobos were the easiest to find songs for? But I digress)

So, I've recently gotten reinterested in the Planet of the Apes Rise/Dawn/War trilogy thanks to the upcoming release of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (gesundheit).
And after careful examination of these films, I feel like I can safely conclude that all this franchise wants to do is hurt me.
For instance...
Has anyone else noticed the parallels between one of Koba's scenes in Rise and another in Dawn?
In Rise, in the lab, an overhead shot shows Koba lying flat on his back and looking around the room, right before the scientists infect him with the virus and change his life forever.
In Dawn, inside the dam, we have an overhead shot of Koba, again, lying flat on his back and looking around the room right after Caesar has violently attacked him and shattered Koba's trust in him, again another huge change to Koba's character.
Maybe that's even one of the reasons Koba turned on Caesar: because he made him feel like a helpless lab animal again.
I just. I have a lot of feelings. Over cgi talking apes. Someone help.
