last night I went down a rabbit hole of reading the posts on riverdaleheritageposting and have realized that not only is Riverdale going to be considered a cult classic camp genre-bending masterpiece in a few years / that it is this generation’s Twin Peaks (I wish I kept up with the show!) I also remembered an iconic moment from when I was fifteen/sixteen

so when Riverdale premiered I watched the first episode and was obsessed. because betty and veronica kissed (diversity win! the comic book characters you liked as a kid are queerbaiting you!). I even made my first Tumblr blog so I could look at Riverdale (Betty and Veronica) content.

Then in highschool art class we had to paint flowers to introduce us to painting techniques?? I painted yellow flowers, like the yellow tulips that Veronica gives Betty in episode 2 and I painted a blue background. Because yellow and blue are their school colours. And I named the painting "Season 1 Episode 1" for the episode of Riverdale where Betty and Veronica kissed. And I never explained any of this to anyone.

And the painting is currently hanging in the main floor bathroom of my parents house. Everytime I see it I think about how it is secretly Riverdale fanart I made when I was fifteen/sixteen and was absolutely STARVED for wlw media content

Forgive me for Riverdale posting on this Monday evening, but I'm almost through season 4 and I legitimately did not expect to be so bored by a season. Season 3 was something special and this season...it ain't it folks. Also Betty and Archie now WTF????

okay this is probably silly but i saw someone refer to the riverdale characters as millennials and no sorry they’re fully gen z. the actors, the writers, the producers are all millennials or gen x or baby boomers but the main characters were born in 2000/2001, they are entirely gen z.
