I kind of hope we won't get a war between Chrobin shippers and Robcina shippers since... well the "compromise" was F!Chrobin and M!Robcina but now that everyone is celebrating M!Chrobin...

Gonna be honest with you anon MRobc*na and FChrobin actually! originally was only put in for the player. You. The Avatar was just you. Sure they had a name and a default design but it wasn't ever used in any material. Did you know? Robin winning CYL means for the first time (if Kozaki draws him) he'll get official art. Starting with the next game the Avatar's got official art but Robin never did and that's why, they were meant to be you. The ability to marry Lucina was there for the male players to wife her. In the context of the text I cannot see how that would seriously work. Robin and Chrom are best friends, closer than close, other halves etc etc, it doesn't make character sense for Robin to marry someone he's that close to's daughter from the future. It's like whatever people call the bro code but worse. It's a popular trope used in dating sims and that's why it was there.

Stein's gate is another example Okabe can date his best friend's daughter from the future only in one route. In the anime and material that follows it's never touched because it's there for the player, usually a man, allowed to pick their favorite in a route.

And originally FChrobin was there to allow girls to marry Chrom. Like allowing guys to marry Lucina; It's once they got down to the characters, Robin because more than you and an actual character they realized how close these two are and continued it. The bonus dialogue with Lucina if Robin is her mom or husband was there for you. Remember Sumia was the implied, so having alternate lines didn't mean either ship was more implied or canon.

You never see anything hinting at Robin and Lucina since Awakening for that reason, it was never for the character known as Robin it was for the player. And now Robin is more than you the player, and Robin has his and her own things, they aren't you and for him (considering the fact it was never touched again) Lucina is off the table because he's a good friend.

As for the other two dunno but we shouldn't have ship wars anyway they're dumb, just because one ship is inferred or even canon, doesn't mean you can't do what you want. That's the beauty of fiction!
