It is indeed an honor to witness the exceptional teams from Prestige Studios, Great Guns, and The Spencer Company undertake the exciting task of adapting the book, 'Lords of the Sunset Strip.' A decade ago, Blackie Dammett approached me with his autobiography manuscript, and I endorsed its publication through The Spencer Company. I can vouch for the riveting narrative and the profound impact it could leave on audiences. This life story is also an anthology of moments and memories from Blackie's journey through Hollywood and beyond, replete with intriguing tales of globally recognized figures.
The tumultuous life of Blackie Dammett, primarily set against the backdrop of the 1980s Los Angeles music scene, is a gripping story that warrants sharing. The Sunset Strip, with its chaotic splendor, offers a rich canvas of fascinating tales waiting to be narrated. This story embodies rock and roll in its purest form.
I am eager to see the magic that Michelle Nickelson, Laura Gregory, James Braham, Adrian Sender, and David Jackson will weave into this project. They form an exceptional team. Their plans for expansion in Los Angeles and the UAE are equally promising.
The birth of rock and roll on the Sunset Strip was a defining moment in music history. The legacy of this era will be elegantly encapsulated in narratives like 'Lords of the Sunset Strip.' I am looking forward to this project and am excited for its fruition.

Tightest Band EVER? They were a studio band that prided themselves in finely crafted, tightly played sings with perfect recordings and little improv despite their jazzy sound. TIGHT!

THE RADIO TURNTABLES THAT SPUN THE FIRST BEATLES SINGLE IN THE U.S. - Benton, Illinois. The WFRX-1300AM radio station turntables which spun for broadcast the first Beatles single “From Me To You” in the United States back in June of 1963. This historic piece of Rock-N-Roll (and Beatles) memorabilia can be seen as part of a display at the Franklin County Jail Museum in Benton, Illinois which features several historic items from Beatle George Harrison’s September 1963 vacation stay in the area to visit his sister Louise Harrison - who had given the station the record to play. Five months before “Beatlemania” hit America (via Ed Sullivan), the “Quiet Beatle,” Harrison, was making some noise here as he performed several pickup-gigs with a local band called “The Four Vests” and was interviewed on WFRX by West Frankfort high school student and DJ Marcia Schafer Raubach, who had also played the first record months earlier. “She Loves You” was played for the first time during this interview. The strange, unknown visiting British Musician was largely a novelty to folks in the area at the time. How little did they know. First on-air record play, first American radio interview broadcast, and the first stage performances of a Beatle in America. Rock and Roll history right here. #RIP ・・・ Bye bye Little Richard! 🖤 some timeless energy... Little Richard performing "Long Tall Sally" in "Don't Knock The Rock", 1956 ————————————————————————- He was one of the greatest musical influences on Paul McCartney and David Bowie. According to producer Nile Rodgers, Richard was the initial inspiration for Bowie's biggest ever album, "Let's Dance" (1983). Bowie once said: "When I heard Little Richard, it just set my world on fire". ————————————————————————- #oldhollywood #classichollywood #hollywoodgreats #1930s #30s #silverscreen #goldenageofhollywood #archives #retro #actor #sammydavisjr #singer #musician #blackhistory #littlerichard #earthakitt #singer #longtallsally #dontknocktherock #rocknroll #rocknrollhistory #paulmccartney #davidbowie #goodoldmovies (à Every Where) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_-ZbxnI7Bg_oHALSdAAnU9U-_6E_MEdYm_ZcM0/?igshid=11lqxizzi41lf

Considered by many to be the “grandfathers of modern metal”, Black Sabbath used their rhythm and blues roots to propel the genre in the early 1970s.  Outlandish frontman Ozzy Osbourne gave the band their identity, while musical member such as Bill Ward (drums) and Tony Iommi (guitar) provided the riffs and fills that would define an era in metal well before double bass pedals and blast beats.  Back in this time, the drums and guitar sounds were heavily blues influenced -- very apparent in hit songs such as War Pigs and Fairies Wear Boots.
