Duel

"Heya." Jovana looked up to see Katalin standing in the kitchen's archway. For some reason it was rare for the two of them to meet, constantly just missing each other. She didn't think it was intentional on either of their parts but maybe something subconscious? There were reasons for some awkwardness in their past but it was ignored or waved off.

"Hey there. I'm just fixing a couple of sandwiches for later. Would you care for one?"

"Nah, 'preciate it though. Was actually looking for someone else when I heard you in here. Haven't happened to see Tawny about have you?" Jovana shook her head. "No, I haven't. The last I remember seeing them was when everybody was heading out to the Deep Yard."

"Hmmm... Ah, no matter."

"I wanted to thank you, you and Calico both for standing in for Verboten and I in that fight. After the incident he just, he couldn't stay around there." The ronko paused, looking down to the sandwiches for a moment.

"What? Oh, it's nothing. 'specially considering how those fights went. The whole thing was just a show, play along while plans twisted in the background. Which the two of you were at least partially responsible for, information and getting things set in motion."

"Still though." Jovana grabbed a knife and began slicing each of the sandwiches into angled halves. She lifted her head, blue eyes meeting the highlander's red. "Thank you."

"Welcome. Also, think I changed my mind. Fix me one of those now that you're done with the others?" Katalin moved over to the counter Jovana was working at. "How've you two been?"

So this year marks 15 years since I first made Neoson and Tekko; my first characters. And with them marks 15 years since I started to actually care about drawing. I’d always liked to draw as a kid, but it wasn’t until them that something clicked. I never realized how happy it could make me. All I wanted in life from that point on was to draw and make stories. Now, handfuls of stories and a couple hundred characters later, here I am. So much has changed in my life, but my love for them and all my characters never has. They’re still one of, if not the, most important thing in my life.

I couldn’t decide when to make this picture- since I couldn’t remember the day they were made, only the year. At first I considered drawing it for either Neoson or Tekko’s birthdays, but both days are at the beginning of the year and things were very hectic for me at that time. So I decided instead to make it for my own birthday, landing it more towards the middle of the year. But uh, stuff happened again. So here it is a month and a couple days late.

Hello I’m currently feeling unwell so heres a list of drawings you’ve seen before, but this time I’m gonna point out details that you might not have noticed OR give a shit about!

This one is quite obvious, but Henry is wearing a band shirt from Glenn’s band “The Glenn Close Trio”!

This is from the Willy collage! It’s a lil glaring painting of Frank Wilson!

This wasn’t hidden at all! I just felt like saying that had they kept the “Frank is Paeden” plot line longer, I would have drawn Paeden/Frank with slicked back hair and his shirt tucked in!

I thought this was so funny, but no one has said a thing about it, so I have no idea if it’s even that visible!!! It’s grownup Nick with his own bands band shirt! They’re called DEMON DADS and if you take away the emo you get DNDADS!!

The ANT is an animal! Or maybe it’s a person from Oakvale called Ant’ri Oak or maybe it’s just Anthony Burch (it’s anthony)

Idk if people were too distracted by the odads half naked and chilling, to notice the Ronko heads absolutely massacre on the headboard

I did put this on my story on Instagram when I first drew the kids, but!! I gave lil Link the Darryl fit!
