We found an amazing place to camp on the first leg of TET Norway. This is a municipal campsite, free to visit. Our plan had been to drive further, but we stopped when we saw how well-equipped this place was, and spent an afternoon mucking about in our packraft with Max.

What i have learned in the past year is that i have a very strong preference for judges that let you set your dog on the table while they're assessing movement on the dog ahead. We have not been lucky so far this year 💀
#it just stresses me out when i dont have time to get her to land properly and get her legs under her without the judge and everyone#watching and waiting#and 50 other exhibitors complaining the sheltie judging is taking too long lol#every show i went to until this year this was the norm but#last few judges has insisted on moving the dog before the table bit#last one didnt even do that she just. didnt let you set up before#this and: tables set nearly all the way into the judges tent (gets really crowded)#tables with wobbly legs#tent roof/tarp set over the table when its windy so its fluttering right above the dogs ears#troj is steady on the table#by all means#but you try getting ur shelp to show ears when everything over and under them is going WOBBLEWOBBLEWOBBLE

Went camping in the mountains last weekend
#first time camping away from home by myself#was kinda scary but it was really nice#except the last night i was there i got woken up by a big ass tree limb falling on my tent#and it took me over an hour to calm.down enough to go back to sleep it scared the shit out of me#its interesting how like.. unreasonable? we are in fear. as in we kinda throw away logic and get really scared at everything#like for a minute after that part of me was afraid that someone was trying to hurt me by.. climbing on the roof of a shed and dropping limb#limbs on my tent? but my brain was like 'well what if !! we need to be careful!!'#it didnt even damage my tent at all but i think i fucking screamed and rushed out of my tent in a blind panic#and i sure am glad i wasnt sleeping shirtless or smth#but yea camping is super fun and im gunna go more i think#maybe not on holiday weekends tho. i was just going up for an event i didnt know it was a holiday

arrived at our first campsite and its 10pm so we went to the beach for a smoke and instantly saw a mama and baby dolphin swim by. this is about to be the best trip of my life🥰🥰🥰

Today involved a long long drive from the west coast of Norway to the border with Sweden. We never quite crossed over, which a border patrol was not entirely convinced about, although ultimately they let us go. Ours was probably an unusual route, departing the tourist-heavy coastline for the rural interior, but it brought us to the start of the Norwegian Trans Euro Trail.
This campsite was our first introduction to the best Norwegian camping sanitary blocks. They're immense. Heated. Clean. Showers include hot water and a squeegee on a stick to mop up after yourself. Extremely needed after a week on the road.
