Feeling of meeting her friends...
Or, the feeling of first time meeting the family of a new girlfriend.
Admit it, meeting the family or the best friends of your new main squeeze for the first time means a lot of scrutiny and sceptical stares.
Like this flamboyance of flamingos are reminding us about, still.
Start of a beautiful friendship
Normally, the staring will end soon. Hopefully because you are accepted.
In the other alternative, these guys are here to remind you to act your best.
Thank you, guys!

Flamingos are strange birds, aren't they? The pink color is fascinating from far way, but when you look close the yellow eyes look strange.
I actually find them most beautiful in flight.

Take off
A greater flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus) takes off on a migration journey across Asia, and will most likely return to the same coastal wetlands in the winter months. “It was feeding with its head in the water, before flying off into the morning light.”

Peek-a-boo-on-a-stick-for-you!
The flamingo is famous for being able to stand and sleep on one leg. Even the whole flamboyance does it at once from time to time.
The reasons are a treat developed by evolution: they have a leg that locks and balance the bird, minimizing the energy and muscle movement while resting on one leg.
Some speculate it is temperature regulating, reducing bodypart exposure to low temperatures. Other thinks it is to reduce the exposure of leg and body to harsh living conditions, some flamingos live in high saline lake and marshes.
Keeping an eye
Anyway, they will have an eye for you, even when resting. Or, at least one eye. Flamingos usually sleep together in groups for safety reasons. Because of this, there is usually a sentry who stays awake to keep an eye out for predators. While the guard keeps watch, the other flamingos stand on one leg and rest their heads on their backs.
They can sleep like this on one leg for a long time.
