On Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the @royaltonbluewaters Resort, Babette Ewens was enjoying herself in the pool, and suddenly could not breathe. After she passed out, a hotel nurse was eventually called, who arrived 30 minutes later with a bag which contained mainly bandages, and no form of medication, nor equipment working to administer advanced medical assistance. An Ambulance was called late to avoid a scene, and when it was called, it took an hour for response. In the interim of waiting for an ambulance, physicians, Registered Nurses and medical professionals from the Wedding Party, went to work at trying their best to bring this woman back to life. An oxygen tank was initially brought, but had no oxygen left inside. Another tank had to be brought by boat later. Unfortunately, they were not able to resuscitate her, and she died in the lobby of the Royalton Blue Water hotel. Not only did the staff standby confused and untrained, but took NO URGENCY in dealing with a HUMAN LIFE. This was with a lobby completely filled with new guests checking in, children and family and friends crying and screaming from the emotional moment. To make matters even worse, hotel administrators were insensitive to what was going on, and the only thing that seemed to be of importance, was checking out guests, that witnessed someone dieing. @royaltonbluewaters if you check your cameras located by the Bell man/reception area, you will see the deceased woman’s friend falling to the floor, hysterically crying and shaking. After I was able to get her up off the floor, I was asked by a hotel rep, to help bring her to her room. I thought that we were bringing her back to her room, for her to gather herself, before packing her bag to check out. Disappointingly, the hotel staff brought that lady back to her room, to pack her bags, and check out immediately. I went back to a hotel manager, and was told that they would assist in helping her.. Nothing was done, and she was still taken from the room, as she was in a very weak emotional state.
