Bouquets/Flowers They'd Give You

Nothing much. Just some headcannons about what kind of bouquets the demons would gift you. Maybe modern au maybe not idk. None of the images are mine I just found them on Google and Pinterest. Daki n Rui are platonic gift givers. No romance from those two.

Kokushibo is a traditional man and as such would stick with the classic but beautiful full rose bouquet sometimes with baby breath to make it asthetically pleasing.

Is it really a surprise this guy would get you something that reminds the both of you of him? They're very pretty though so it's all good.

You want a teddy bear, flowers, balloons for your special date? This man gets you all in one package and makes sure to make it pleasing to look at. Everything for his darling.

If it's regular Kny he'd just scoop up whatever wild flowers are growing around him and present them to you but since we're going with modern here, he doesn't have a lot of money to throw away on flowers that'll just die so he takes his time to really make you something permanent you both can cherish forever by doing origami. The many paper cuts are worth it seeing you smile.

In a similar way to Gyutaro, Daki would want to gift something permanent you both could enjoy forever however she'd be more splurge-y than her brother and gift you a flower clip or hairpin.

Kaigaku barely gets you flowers in the first place but if you mention wanting to be gifted flowers long enough or if it's a special enough occasion he wants to celebrate, he'll get you something. But not a full bouquet, he'll just get you a simple rose or flower.

Nakime really doesn't get you flowers too often either, but on the rare occasion she does it's either a single rose like Kaigaku or flowers matching her own aesthetic.

So I just found out that seashell bouquets are actually a thing, and they have to be glued together and stuff. Seems like a good enough fit for the fish man.

Look he can be a sappy romantic if he wants to be. A big bouquet of roses and chocolate strawberries are the object of his choice if he's going to go all out.

he often worries about what to get you. He doesnt want to look too guady with a fancy oversized bouquet but he's also worried about a single flower not being enough so he gets you something in the middle all tied up in ribbon and lace. Please tell him you love it, he's very nervous.

This guy has money to burn. He practically shoves one of those really beautiful but really expensive bouquets with the big flowers covered in gems in your arms and calls it a day. It's expensive and maybe tacky but he doesn't see it that way.

like any sweet child, he just plucks whatever flowers he finds growing on the ground and gifts it to anyone he likes.

*Rui had been in the middle of helping a baby raccoon get back to its mama when the swift motion caught his attention and he waved back before doing a double-take, not recognizing the small child. He decided to call out to her* "hello there, are you lost little one?"

Yo sup! I love your blog soooooo much!!! Your writing style is great in my opinion ^^. I'd like a yandere! Rui (platonic) with sister reader. She actually puts effort into making "family bonds" and while she is nice to the other "family" members, she never questions Rui's methods and actions and genuinely loves him despite the behaviours he displays. He is really overprotective over her and he likes her attention. I'd love a scenario like that

Yandere! Platonic! KNY Lower Moon Scenarios: Ayaki Rui

Rui, on the inside, is a lonely miserable child that is so desperate to feel nearest and dearest love for once in his new life that he does truly cruel and twisted means to get what carves so badly

Rui finds weak, pathetic demons and transfers his strength to them so they become infused by blood, cementing them as his family for good. He has done this too many to count… but most go against him and end up fried

Rui figured you’d be the same. Another sister who dares to try run away from him and will become his next toasted spider but no. You’re nothing like the ones who came before you and he is very shocked at first

Rui, needing to know if this behaviour is genuine, begins to keep a close eye on you and is very pleased everytime with the answers. You’re sweet and considerate to the other family members he brings home, you never argue with his methods nor measures and you even ask him how he is

Rui suspected you’d be angry at him for his drastic punishments to your siblings and parents, but no. You never once go against him, you just smile and proclaim you understand if he must hurt you. But in that moment, he won’t lay a single thread on you, he gently pats your head and orders you return to your room

Rui becomes favouritistic towards you, to the point it becomes obvious to everybody in the house. You’re a real sister and he needs to keep you as his, at all causes. No demon slayer can take you away from him and no demon can try trick you into abandoning him, he grows a intense sense of overprotectiveness over you, his one true sibling

Rui never really gets the love he wants with this makeshift family he has forcibly created. You’re the rare diamond of the pebble pile, you give him love and affection with no fear nor opposing intent. He is very tense and tries to push back but once he realises you’re just kissing away the blood on his cheek, he lets you. His obsession over you growing in the process

His obsession over keeping you as his sister at all means. Must he kill all those other failures? None of them please him at all and none has true worth to him, Rui is tempted to just kill them all and keep you. Sure, two siblings aren’t necessarily a family but the risk of losing you, who actually loves him, over a family who doesn’t love him. He is going to pick you everytime

Rui eventually moves you out of the attic you were in with your surrogate siblings. You don’t deserve to be around those pieces of filth and he ends up giving you the room, right next to his. So he can come to you very easily and demand your affection without needing anybody else around

He wants you nearby 24/7, his one and only beloved. He wants you close so he knows you’re still here and you haven’t been twisted by anything else that can twist your views

Rui is very desperate for attention so he wants it from you all the time. He’ll just sit down before you as you read/other and wait for you to acknowledge him. He doesn’t get hissy nor attack like he usually would if you take a little while, since he knows you’ll apologise and give him hugs or kisses as extra sorries

Rui will never let you out of the house nor out of the forest. You can go outside when he is with you, just to make sure no slayer can hurt you nor a demon can intervene. It’s all from his anxiety that makes him step in and take those extra precautions to keep you with him

At all causes, he doesn’t care how big the bill is he must pay to have you

Rui holds your hand as often as he possibly can, loving the feel of your warmth. He summons you to stand besides him as he deals out punishment, he sends you to the safety of the household when he finds threats he must dispose off. He is loving, he is favouritistic, he is possessive, he is overprotective; he is all of the above and so much more

“My dear sister. Come here, I am exhausted from taking care of such useless humans, may I get some affection to ease all my tense nerves? I don’t suspect you’d refuse, here now. You know I don’t bite you”

Hey! Sorry this took so long. I kept changing the composition and not liking what was happening. This arc gets a pretty big revamp so I hope you have just as much fun as I do!

—- Lore Dump! —-

Haven’t you heard? About the village at the base of Natagumo Mountain? It’s dangerous there, especially for families. Don’t climb the mountain at night, they say that a small, weak child, no older than 13, approaches unsuspecting passersby.

“I’m lost,” he says. “Won’t you help me get back home?”

“Where do you live?” They answer. Upon closer inspection, they notice the boy in hospital rags, an IV attached to his arm. He shouldn’t be out here, how did he get here? Where are his parents?

“My home is a little ways up the mountain, but I can’t make it up there alone. Won’t you help me?” The boy replies. He’s pale and sick. He shouldn’t be here, he should be at a hospital. When prompted to be taken down the mountain, the mysterious boy will refuse. It’s odd isn’t it? A strange child asking for help in the middle of the night.

Of course it would be wrong to deny such a child help. “Of course I’ll help you!”

Those who follow the child up the mountain are never seen again.

Children who follow the child up the mountain have been found days later, mangled beyond repair.

Those who refuse to follow the boy up the mountain descend just fine, so please be careful at night. They say this boy only targets families, but other victims have been spotted too. He doesn’t work alone. Sometimes they spot two children. Both sickly and pale with strange markings on the skin. Sometimes there’s a group of them, peering through the woods at night. Something about them is wrong.

But who are these children? Some say they are just a cautionary tale to stay off the mountain at night. Others whisper of man-eating demons inhabiting their home, slowly picking off the townspeople.

But alas, these are just rumors. No one can confirm nor deny that there’s a strange entity terrorizing the area around Natagumo Mountain. But no matter what it may be, the Demon Busters are on the case!

In this au, Rui has become an urban legend! Due to his elusive nature and strange family, he’s been able to slowly pick off the humans living on and around Natagumo Mountain. It’s scary! He’s managed to dodge the Demon Busters for so long, but when he spots a strange Buster who uses a breathing style that makes his cells boil and an even stranger demon girl accompanying him, Rui can’t help but feel…lonely. A strange and ugly feeling boils inside of him when he sees them protecting each other. But he can’t figure out why…

This au changes a lot of things in this arc (such as him running into Tanjirou and Nezuko WAY before he does in canon) so I’m still trying to figure out the best way to share the lore. Even thought the whole of Demon Busters is more on the silly side, I’m hoping to keep more of the horror side of kny with this one. Don’t worry though! I have a lot more planned for this arc and I don’t want to say it all here :))) Thanks for all the support on this au and see you next time!!

You. How do you think Kyojuro would react if Senjuro, Zohakuten and Rui were friends? (Some ppl that includes me like to think they're friends :3)

I can’t really see them being friends in the 1920s’/the main timeline of kny, but in the Kimetsu Academy I can see them being friends! Especially Rui and Zohakuten since they’re a little “edgier” to put it simply, while Senjuro is the sunshine of the group. They’d probably protect him at all costs in exchange for Senjuro spoiling them with his cooking.

If Rui and Zohakuten ever come over to visit their friend at home, Shinjuro would probably eye them suspiciously. They look like a bad influence with Zohakuten’s dark outfit and messy black hair and with Rui, who just can’t stop fiddling with strings of yarn he stuffed into his pocket. But Senjuro seems happy, his grades aren’t dropping and he comes home in time. So, what’s Shinjuro to do but to greet them and then hide away in his and Ruka’s bedroom.

Kyojuro is just happy that his little brother is making friends. He knows Rui from his work as a teacher, and he knows that he’s a quiet kid. He feels incredible pride that Senjuro managed to make friends with him! Same with Zohakuten. He was consider a troublemaker, or that’s what he heard from Giyu, but now he seems to be behaving just fine. Senjuro is such a good influence!

Twelve Kizuki + Muzan - Zodiac Headcanons

Note: while I don’t really believe in astrology I find it interesting and think it’s fun to apply to fictional characters.

Muzan: everyone seems to think Muzan is a Scorpio I see him as more of a very unhealthy Leo. His prideful, egotistical nature, fiery temper and very flashy way of dressing just scream Leo, albeit the darker side of it

Kokushibo: my best guess is Capricorn. He is very reserved demeanor, serious to the point of being grim and has a very powerful presence

Douma: Sagittarius, definitely. He’s outwardly friendly and playful, and carefree to the point of getting on peoples nerves but is also emotionally detached.

Akaza: he’s got Aries energy. A very bold, brave sort of person who can be on the hot headed side and shows incredible determination.

Hantengu: He’s very difficult to place. Gemini would be the stereotypical answer, but Cancers have a dark side, with unhealthy ones often excelling at emotional manipulation and playing the victim, so I’m going with that

Gyokko: he’s also difficult to place but I’m going with Pisces. Not because of his creepy fish obsession but because Pisces are known for being artistically inclined but can be pretentious as fuck about it, not to mention petty as hell

Gyutaro I see as a Scorpio because of his jealous, vindictive nature. He also seems like the type who could hold a grudge forever. On a more positive side he is also extremely loyal and protective of his family, something Scorpios are known for.

Daki is a Libra to me. Libras are known for their appreciation of beauty and finer things and are often quite popular. However they can also be naive and vain.

Enmu: Virgo or Gemini. He is methodical, put together and perfectionistic like a Virgo, but intelligent and duplicitousness like a Gemini by acting outwardly polite and harmless but actually being quite sadistic and manipulative

Rui is another Cancer. Family is something that is deeply important to Cancers and it clearly is to him, just in a really twisted way.

Lets talk demon trauma

Something I really would love to explore more and find fascinating is the fact that demons can experience mental trauma either from their past selves or something happening to them as a demon. There are a couple of examples of this throughout the series (the most obvious one being Muzan)

Spoilers ahead for some parts!

Human trauma

Rui

His comes across as someone with abandonment issues. He felt like his own parents were imposters for trying to take his life. It shoke him enough that he sought to create a family but through manipulative means. It wasnt enough for them to play house, they had to be willing to protect him by any means necessary no matter who he became. Something his parents failed to do when they attempted to kill him. Im also certain his "family members" have endured a great deal of trauma at the hands of Rui himself. The spider mother willingly let Tanjiro slay her, like a prisoner finding peace only in death.

Daki

Being burned alive as a human was one of Daki's last memories, not to mention being sold as a courtesan at such a young age. I believe Daki has a deep fear of fire even as a demon. She doesnt understand why until Nezuko slightly jogs her memories, burning her with her BDA. I also HC at least that Daki became hypersexual due to sexual trauma, explaining her way of dress.

Demon Trauma

Hairo

One of the most interesting examples of this because he is probably the only other demon (that I know of) that experienced a traumatic event as a demon besides Muzan himself. The official reason was Shinjuro mutilating him as a weaker demon but I HC more happened to him that he either refuses to acknowledge or managed to forget. He he doesnt just hate Rengoku, he fears him, like his own personal boogieman. I believe Shinjuro did things far worse and depraved than simply slicing off his hands a couple of times. Hairo's response to him feels far too extreme.

Muzan

Aside from his encounter with Yorrichi, Muzan had a close call with death as a human too. Death terrifies the man so much, even other demons (his upper ranks at least) could feel it. Obvious to say Muzan suffers from Thanatophia, so much in fact even him being fully immune to sunlight probably wouldnt put his mind at ease. There seems to also be a touch of health anxiety since the drunk patrons' comment set him off.

A few hours after the sun sets there's a knock on the door. When Rui answers it, Koorogi is standing there, holding something behind its back and blushing. "I made you something...."

*Judging by the fact that one half of his hair looked how it normally did and the other was messier and more frilled out than usual it seemed the younger demon had just woken up for the evening* "Ah evening Koorogi, how have you been?" *he greets you before looking at the arm hiding something behind your back* "Oh? What is it?" *he asks curiously*
