See one thing I love about dp is that all this shit is going down in the early 2000s, these mfs have nokia 3310s and are bragging about their high scores in snake. They are illegally downloading ringtones off of myspace and beebo on the family computer to let the school know they really loved the album samstown, or maybe silent alarm. Danny and jazz both get really invested in lonelygirl15 and inevitably the beebo exclusive spinoff, katemodern. Dani has an emo phase exclusively to the song wires by athlete, sam gets REALLY into manchester ochestra's album like a virgin losing a child WAY before anyone else does. Tucker mockingly makes the dial up noises and says "you've got, ma-il" along with the robotic female voice in the same inflections whenever he boots up AOL on danny's home pc. He also had genuine anxiety attacks at age 8 or 9 over the impending doom of y2k.
I want these losers to be living the true 2000s childhood that myself and older siblings did, it's so fun to me.

Warner Castle
Orion, IL c.1895
Built by Wilder W. Warner, a wealthy farmer, politician, and businessman, he had a passion for castles and toured Europe to come up with this scaled down version for his personal residence.
In 1851, Warner purchased land for his farm interests and in 1870, the Rockford, Rock Island, and St. Louis Railroad came to Western Station (to be known as Warner). He had a freight house built for his farm shipments, and built a cheese factory and a factory that built corn elevators.
A post office was established in 1884 and town was renamed Warner and he was named postmaster.
In 1890, construction began on his beloved castle and the stone was carved from the Cleveland,IL quarry and transported to the site by horse and wagon. The same stone for this castle was also used on the Rock Island County Courthouse and the John Looney house in Rock Island,IL. The Warner family moved into the castle on December 25, 1895, with the final cost tallied at $80,000.
The castle features 17 rooms, seven bedrooms, two living rooms, a library, dining room, and kitchen. The fireplaces are carved from Italian marble.
Six carved busts were located in a hand carved hallway featuring men that Warner admired--Lincoln, Garfield, and Webster, to name a few.
Mr. Warner died four years later and left the house to his son, who lived here until 1947.

What camera do you use?
It's a Canon EOS 20D! I got it secondhand about four years ago now, as a law school graduation gift.
I really only started getting into photography when I was...extremely unhappy in my first post-grad job, and "go for a walk and take some pictures" was the only short-term survival strategy I could come up with that didn't involve food or alcohol. Even now that I'm in a much better place, it's still probably the most unabashedly fun hobby I have, the least stressful, the most serotonin return-on-investment.
I wouldn't call myself anything but a hobbyist. Still, when I was taking those pictures of the entrance to the Lincoln Park Conservatory, one of the docents ambled over. An older Indian gentleman, he asked if I could see my pictures, and I showed him the last couple shots I'd taken. He said they were very nice, asked if I put them anywhere---and I told him truthfully that I have a flickr account, but that's it, I'm strictly amateur.
He said he had been too, in his youth; he'd also had a secondhand camera, gotten his film developed at Walgreens. "You know where the word 'amateur' comes from, right?" he asked. And I, because I did take five years of Latin and conjugated amo amas amat, answered: "Someone who loves something."
"Right," he said, and walked away back to his bench.
