This is a lower ABV riff of Alba Huerta’s “Cherry Bounce Sour” : 1 1/4 oz - Bourbon 100 Proof 1 oz - Cherry Shrub 1/2 oz - simple syrup 1/4 oz - lemon juice 1 oz - aquafaba 1 dash - Angostura bitters -Dry shake Cherry shrub, Angostura, lemon juice, simple syrup and aquafaba til frothy. Add Bourbon and ice, shake til cold. Just picked up some fresh blackberries, so....a riff off of a blackberry smash it is! • • 1.5oz - Bourbon 1oz - Red wine 1/2oz - lime juice 1oz - blackberry shrub (see my easy-hack below) 1/4oz simple Blackberry garnish (optional) -shake all ingredients with ice until cold, strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with a blackberry. • Shrub hack: 5 blackberries, 3/4oz simple, 1/4oz apple cider. Muddle all ingredients until integrated.
