Il y a quelque temps, j'ai vu un post de @talon-dragonbeast en espagnol, parlant d'alterhumanité dans sa langue maternelle. Ça m'a donné envie de faire pareil :)

Je suis un dragon mordoré à crinière. C'est le nom que je donne à mon espèce, comme je ne connais personne d'autre de la même espèce que moi. Quatre pattes, deux ailes, une crinière et une queue bifide. Mes écailles sont brunes à reflets dorés, et l'intérieur de mes ailes est bleu foncé.

J'ai récemment déterminé que la couleur la plus proche de l'intérieur de mes ailes est le pantone 2955 C (ou hexa 003865, ou RVB (0, 56, 101)). Ce genre de bleu un peu gris. Yup, c'est ça, c'est mes ailes.

Comme c'est étrange de parler d'alterhumanité en français, c'est si.. nouveau. J'aime bien :)

Je sais que je suis un dragon depuis mes 5 ans environ, et en grandissant j'ai eu l'habitude de me présenter en tant que dragon aux gens. Alors maintenant, chaque personne qui me connaît un peu sait que je suis un dragon. J'ignore à quel point les gens comprennent que c'est une partie fondamentale de mon identité, mais ça a peu d'importance finalement. Je suis un dragon et je vis en tant que dragon, et peu importe si les gens pensent que je blague ^^

Ça n'a surpris personne dans mon entourage quand j'ai commencé à porter des cornes. Et aux inconnu.e.s qui demandent, je réponds que ce sont des cornes de dragon. En fait, les gens sont plus intéressæs par comment ça tient sur ma tête plutôt que pourquoi je les porte.

À part cette dame dans la rue qui m'appelait bête du diable mais finalement elle n'avait pas tord, dans sa religion je suis effectivement une bête du diable. Merci du coup ?

Quand j'étais enfant et que j'imaginais mon corps de dragon, j'avais des écailles blanches. C'est que les dragonneaux de mon espèce naissent avec des écailles blanches qui prennent leur couleur brune avec l'âge. Je ne sais pas si je crache quelque chose, mais si je crache quelque chose, ça serait du feu je pense. C'est ce qui me paraît le plus naturel. Cracher autre chose me paraît... étranger.

Je fais parfois des séances de méditation guidée avec des amis dragons, et par deux fois j'ai vu mon corps de dragon avec six pattes au lieu de quatre. Est-ce que je gagne des pattes avec l'âge ? C'est encore un mystère.

Je suis un dragon des montagnes, j'ai la taille d'un élan au garrot à peu près, mais plus gros, plus trapu. Mon habitat préféré est une forêt clairsemée, comme une boulaie, telle qu'on peut en trouver dans le massif des Ardennes. Je chasse cerfs, chevreuils et sangliers, et je pêche du poisson également.

Parfois je sens mes ailes dans mon dos, ou mes crocs dans ma bouche, plus longs que mes dents humaines. Mais ce qui est le plus fréquent pour moi est de sentir le volume général de mon corps. C'est une impression que mon corps s'arrête plus loin que mon corps humain. Que mon corps est beaucoup plus massif et puissant. C'est une sensation très agréable et réconfortante. Même si je ne le vois pas, mon corps véritable est là.

En plus de mes cornes, j'ai comme projet d'acheter un masque de dragon. Plus précisément un masque brodé de la marque Phantomasy. Il ressemblera à ça :

Et dans un futur plus lointain, je pense me faire tatouer des écailles, mais c'est un projet encore à l'état de brouillon. Petit à petit je dragonise mon corps humain :)

J'aime être un dragon plus que tout au monde, c'est la plus grande joie de mon existence. Parfois cela m'attriste profondément, car je ne pourrai jamais avoir un corps s'approchant de mon corps de dragon. Mais ça m'attriste justement parce que j'aime autant mon espèce. Alors en attendant, je profite de mon univers alternatif en tant qu'ètre humain, je mange du chocolat, je regarde Docteur Who et peut-être aurais-je une nouvelle chance s'il y a une vie après celle-ci ✨️

(to me regular tex does this too but i digress)

caboose: he doesnt think that hard anout any of this, i think he just wears whatever his mom dressed him in when he was little and calls it a day, as long as it's comfortable. swapped the goetee for glasses because the goetee reminds me of shaggy scooby doo and the glasses remind me of velma :)

tucker: tucker goes from IM A MAN IM MASC IM A MAN IM MASC to 'im not like those OTHER girls im one of the BOYS like YOU. but im also NOT A BOY im A GIRL im FEMININE and never insinute otherwise. puts effort into her appearance but doesn't want you to know it - she wants to appear effortless, asopposed to regular tucker who doesn't want you to know it because it's girly to carw how you look.

wash: girl wash purchases pain killers. thats it

kai: her main gendy stuff is modtly just "how hot and slutty and DTF as many genders as possible can i look at any given time" so she's easy peasy. she wants you to see her bulge so bad.

grif: trades stubble for a rack, he doesn't put effort into his appearance and his taste wouldn't change, so it's very little difference.

Starting off this event, we have non-main cast ships! These ships include the characters that we barely knew. Small role? Big ship! Do they even have names? Who cares, they're literally holding hands!

(Oct 28) Day 2: passing the bechdel test

Day two is your haven for sapphic ships! Canon girls, trans girls, genderbent girls, big girls, small girls, girls that aren't girls? Yes to all of them!

(Oct 29) Day 3: ... and they were roommates

Day three is focused on alternative universes, canon divergences, and what ifs. Get creative!

(Oct 30) Day 4: that doesn't seem physically possible

Day four is for ships who've never met. Canon? What canon? These two were probably never on the same planet, but they are in love.

(Oct 31) Day 5: monster mash

Day five is all about Halloween and general spooky vibes. Costumes, candy, ghosts, and monsters! Get down with the ooky spooky with your favorite rarepairs!

(Nov 1) Day 6: the more the merrier

"5 reads - 1 kudos/vote - 0 comments" sounds like I wrote something bad and then I stop writing for years at a time. I only even remembered I like writing this time bc I wrote a paper for a friend, and then RvB: Restoration came out the next day. I got that fic out quickly, and the comments motivated me to keep doing it. COMMENT ON PEOPLE'S WORK.

someone I follow on the bird app just announced they're starting a very exclusive private fic server because they and a bunch of other people want to talk about how much they love the fics they're reading, and as an author can I just say that a really great place to talk about a fic you love is in the comments for that fic

I understand that people are trying to create safe spaces, but as the number of comments that I get on my fics dwindles with each passing year, knowing these spaces exist where my fics are being discussed, places that I am excluded from, makes me want to write fic LESS

I mean I guess who cares, right, because if I stop writing, there's 10,000 other people that will continue...but if you participate in a fic "book club" server and you say nice things there about a fic you loved, maybe copy and paste that into a comment on AO3?

the only thing fanfic writers are asking for in return for hours of hard work is attention. please don't rob us of the one thing that we hope for when we hit "post"

i do agree with you but i don’t think the show did what they were trying to do well. like the slow reveal over the first 7 seasons of just why it seems like these guys are being told to kill each other for no reason - oh, it really is no reason! literally just the military has decided these are worthless soldiers, and because of that Worthless People whose lives have so little meaning that it’s a reasonable course of action to give them to an experimental project, 0 consent, 0 understanding of what’s actually happening, because resident mad scientist gone wild wants them for target practice? that was amazing. it’s what makes rvb for me. it absolutely does the heavy lifting of the central theme of Big Important People deciding Worthless People can be used and discarded for profit or basically for nothing, but being totally wrong about some people being Worthless Idiots Who Can Be Safely Discarded and Disregarded and getting their asses kicked for their arrogance.

but season 15? idk. it just didn’t hit the notes right. temple didn’t feel like straightforward “guy who would be right if he weren’t such a freak about it”. the way it got framed, it felt like they were building him up as deeply wrong about things, and there wasn’t payoff for that. especially the way carolina never like… reacted to hearing about biff’s death or talked to temple about it or gave any indication it was a real thing she remembers that happened as temple remembered it. it was just done weirdly. she should have had a chance to talk about how PFL was fucked up and fucked everyone over. like, i know it’s not new territory for the audience and it’s not new territory for her or advancing her character arc in any way at that point, but i just don’t think what they trying to convey made sense without it

“temple killed biff” theory is stupid. the whole fucking point is that freelancer disregards sim troopers lives. they’re dehumanized to such a degree that you don’t even notice their deaths. they’re the generic mooks, they’re npcs, they’re glorified target practice. having carolina and tex NOT be responsible for biff’s death literally loses the entire narrative theming for. what. some angst? a plot twist? what’s the point of temple as a villain if he doesn’t have a point.
