In the small town of Dillon, Texas, high school football and basketball are everything to it’s residents. Everywhere you go within the town limits you will find Panther Pride, especially since Dillon’s Varsity teams are always among the top in the state of Texas.

Underneath all the Panther Pride though is a long-lasting rivalry between the football and basketball teams that began some 70 years ago when your grandparents were students at Dillon High. Why did this rivalry form though? Each team wanted to be the beloved apple of the town’s eye and there is only room for ONE top team in Dillon. In recent years though this rivalry has only seemed to have intensified with the ill-fated Puckerman brothers both at DHS and each one a member of the rivaled teams. The pranks have intensified, the fights between rivaling members have intensified and so have the stakes. Not only are they now vying to be the top team in town, but they are now vying for the best Rally Girls, a father’s ultimate love and of course all the bragging rights that come with being among the top in the state.

Clear Eyes Full Hearts is an AU Glee RPG inspired by the shows Friday Night Lights and One Tree Hill.

→ WHO'S THAT? Welcome to McKinley, RYDER LYNN. Born to be average, but unwilling to accept it, Ryder is two things; terrible at football, but addicted to pranks. Where he couldn’t make football work, or his love life more than hopeless, Ryder made up for it with his pranks, to an almost extreme degree. Its normal to be terrified when you see him walking down the hall with that vlogging camera, you never know who he will hit next.

               The Glee RP is a reimagining of the canon events of Glee, in the year 2021. The plot of glee is similar, and elements from the show are kept, but there is a strong focus on what glee would be like in 2021!.

A NECESSARY INTRODUCTION

This is Ryder Lynn. He is 20 years old, currently a Sophomore at McKinley and his concentration is Screenwriting for Film. He is heterosexual, and it is said he looks like Blake Jenner. Luckily for you he is taken.

WHO WILL I BE? ITS UP TO ME

With a father who is a successful Professor, there were expectations set for Ryder at a very young age. Unfortunately, it was always a struggle for Ryder to meet what was expected of him when it came to school. Words always mixing up in his brain, Ryder has to work twice has hard as the next person to receive an average grade. After years of frustration, he learned that he is actually dyslexic.

Because of his struggles in school, Ryder could’ve gotten down on himself, or laughed it off and stay positive. He chose the second. As he grew up, he adapted that way of thinking, and tries to always stay positive and find the humor in life. A total goofball, he’d rather have fun then worry about his failures. That being said, he’s still has insecurities.

Ryder has always loved football, and figured that it was what would get him to college one day. After the changes at McKinley, he decided to stay and try out the singing thing. It’s something he really enjoys and is actually good at, maybe he can even make a career out of it.

Ryder has always been plagued by self doubt. Between his babysitter incident at age 11, his dyslexia and his father’s academic expectations of him, Ryder’s confidence didn’t stand a chance. Of course by now, at age 20, he has learned to mask it well. He’s outgoing and bubbly on the outside but deep on the inside he’s just a giant ball of anxiety, self doubt and Cheetos. 

Ryder is a self confessed dork. He loves all things superheroes and supernatural. No-one would care if Thor failed Calculus - he was Thor! Just like Captain America didn’t need to study history, he had lived it. Comics, video games and all things Marvel were just pure escapism for Ryder. It was what had inspired him to pick screenwriting as his major; the chance to help create other worlds and for him to spend some time away from his own. Sure the dyslexia didn’t help and he struggled with the actual grammar and technicalities of writing but he was full of ideas and imagination, and that had to count for something.Ryder’s very aware of the expectation that Finn has for him to take over the New Directions once he graduates. 

But Ryder is very happy in Junior Varsity, he likes the more chilled atmosphere and he doesn’t want any more responsibility. He’s not that bothered about competing - he already has his football games for that - he just wants to sing a few cheesy songs and hang out with his friends.

THE LITTLE BLACK BOOK

Finn Hudson (+): Finn is like a big brother to Ryder. During his first year on the football team, Finn saw a lot of himself in Ryder, and figured the younger boy could one day be Captain. Now, he’s grooming Ryder to take over The New Directions when he leaves. The only problem is Ryder doesn’t know if he want’s that kind of responsibility.

Jake Puckerman (+/-): Jake and Ryder get along for the most part, but it’s the crushes both boys are harboring for Marley Rose that causes a riff in their friendship. Both boys are constantly trying to one up the other, and it causes underlining tension in all of their interactions.

Sam Evans (+): Sam is probably Ryder’s best friend at McKinley. They both were the new guys on the football team last year, and with incredibly similar personalities, grew very close. Two jokesters, you can always expect to laugh until you cry when these two are together.

Marley Rose (+): Ryder has been crushing on Marley since she transferred to McKinley the beginning of the year. She’s nice and pretty and has an amazing voice so it’s no surprise he fell fast. Marley, however, want’s to focus on school and show choir at the moment, and has stated she’s not interested in a boyfriend. So for now, they are friends. And Ryder is okay with that.

Second Hope Rehabilitation Clinic is a beautiful facility. Expansive gardens, sun rooms that face a lake, art and dance studios, a music room, recreation halls, all kinds of books and much more. The patient rooms have every comfort of home with some exceptions such as phones to call home. The staff are well educated and nothing but dedicated to their jobs. It’s the patients who aren’t always so wonderful.

Sent to Second Hope for a variety of reasons, the patients range from being dedicated to getting better to completely resistant to their treatment… or worse, in denial of their problems.

I just wanna give a quick shout out Kas who plays an incredible Ryder! He has all the characteristics from the show with added development that really brings out his personality. I love how thought out his aspirations are and how well the arcs he's currently on tie in to them. The bromance he and Cooper have generated is so fun to watch and I can't wait to see what other nonsense they get up to!

HEADCANONS

Freya grew up in the Lynn household, she loved her parents and she was very close with them, she always wanted to keep a friendship with them no matter what happened within her life as she was getting older.

Although she grew up in the Lynn household, she wasn’t biologically related to them, she was adopted by them as her mom died when she was a baby and her dad hadn’t stuck around. She often wondered what her real parents were like.

Freya made her dream come true when she graduated from college, she moved to New York city with the help of her parents and working so much at Lima Bean, she managed to get a small apartment in the city and live her dream out there. She became a drama teaching assistant at the local school and she fell in love with it. She also started a youtube channel with the help from a friend and decided it was what she wanted to do.

She had met Diego back in Lima but  when she moved to New York they grew closer very quickly and started dating and she honestly feels like she believes in love all over again.

Freya was luckily contacted by someone through her youtube channel about modelling and it was something she thought she would take a chance in. It kept her busy, she was modelling and always working out and staying healthy and she loved it. Even if people had told her she should be careful and make sure shes eating enough, she enjoyed it.

Whilst she started working and modelling, she found herself distancing herself from Diego and she realised her relationship with him was falling apart and all they did was argue now because they never had time for each other so they ended their relationship and with that Diego and her were no longer and she had just learned to move on.

After Christmas 2019, she found her way back to Diego and they have definitely been stronger then ever but whilst all that happened, she got a role in a TV series called The Vampire Diaries and she has recently gone to Atlanta for filming. She loves it, it was her dream role and she loved the opportunities she was getting in it.

Alongside this she was very excited that Marley would be joining the family and Ryder proposed to Marley, she was finally getting a sister and she was very excited about it all.

In September 2021, Diego and Freya mutually decided to break up, they are still good friends and she still promotes his gym and sees him when she comes to New York but their relationship wasn’t working with the distance and they both knew they were forcing the romance when it wasn’t there so instead they broke up and remained friends.

She is now filming season 2 of the Vampire Diaries and loving it and is more then grateful for her job.

CONNECTIONS

MRS. & MR. LYNN (Parents): Although Freya had a side of herself that was bitchy and argumentative, she was very close with her parents even if she argued a few times with them, she was still very close with them. RYDER LYNN (Adopted Brother): Although Ryder and Freya were siblings, they did have rivalry, yeah they got on and things were great sometimes with them, they argued a lot even when not necessary. It was also the fact that some of her friends found her brother good looking. MARLEY ROSE (Close Friend): From the fact that Marley is dating her brother, they bonded and soon became close and Freya really feels like she can talk to the girl. DIEGO CARPENTER (Ex – Boyfriend & Best Friend): They met back in Lima and were quite flirty in Lima, but nothing happened until she moved to the city and ever since they started dating and got on really well and have been falling for each other since. Unfortunately her job kept her away from him that it put a strain on their relationship that they split up.  After a while of being apart they found their way back to each other and she wouldn’t have imagined her life without him. Although they were so in love, they fell out of it due to distance and both being super busy with work but had decided to remain friends.
