Get excited!

Hello everyone,

do you ever get that feeling, when you get out of work on Wednesday, and realise that it’s going to be the weekend soon? That’s what hit me today, and I was all heart eyes on my way back home! :D

That being said - get excited for this weekend which’ll lead into our Halloween week! Ginny’s prepared a great festival, and there’s going to be some fun things to do this weekend and in the days after to lead up to October 31st. Also, show off your Halloween decorations, spooky-fy your neighbourhood, make Royal as scary-fun as possible - and don’t forget to tag your pics as #rylhalloween!

HALLOWEEN SPOOK-FEST

When: October 30th - 31st 2017 Where: Lagniappe Valley -- taking over some of the free vineyards. What: Halloween celebration 

Get ready to celebrate Halloween -- Royal style. There will be many activities for everyone to do -- even if you’re not a fan of being frightened.

During the day there will be many different carnival rides and games. 

Rides include: 

Ferris wheel.

Mini Roller-coaster.

Carousel.

Pirate ship.

Tilt a whirl.

Hay rides.

Carnival games include:

You can win prizes for yourself, or a special someone.

Witches hat ring toss.

Dunk a vamp -- where the ‘balls’ are gloves of garlic.

Mini golf -- Halloween themed.

Apple bobbing.

During the evening there is a variety of different activities to be held and more prizes to be won.

Two different costume contests:

For the citizens of Royal, 17 and under the prize includes a trophy, candy basket and a day at the trampoline park.

For citizens of Royal, 18 and older the prizes include dinner for two at Ambrisos’, a spa day and a candy basket. 

There will be two winners for each contest -- one for each night. Tag your costumes with rylhalloween

Candy scramble for the kids

Each child will walk away with a decent hall of candy each night, if they attend.

Pumpkin carving 

Learn how to carve pumpkins and create images on them. 

During the night is when the frights come out, be prepared to be spooked -- and maybe change your pants once or twice. The carnival rides and games will also still be open.

Haunted house

There are three different levels to the house, each having a different sort of ‘theme’ to it. Of course, if you can’t handle it -- then there will be options to be able to leave the house.

First level includes: clowns, spiders and snakes.

Second level includes: a surgeons office with killer surgeons running around, a dentist office -- who may try and remove your teeth and a butchers shop -- if you value your limbs, keep them close.

Third level -- Asylum, jail cells -- watch out for the prisoners, they’re there for a reason! and a church -- you never know what you’re going to get with those nuns and priests. 

Maze

Make your way through the maze, but your favorite (or not so favorite) movies may make an appearance. 

Silence of the Lambs.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

The Exorcist. 

The Shining.

IT.

The Conjuring.

Claustrophobia and Vortex rooms

Watch out for the killer clowns running around while you try and make your way through the rooms.

Zombie Apocalypse 

Everyone will be split into groups (posted at a later date) -- you’ll be able to plot and play things out with others you may not normally talk to.
