Okay I am terrified. The way everyone was speculating and what not about this episode scared me.

Hey so did anyone else like... not understand anything Eddie was saying to "Shannon"!Kim because the kill bill sirens in their head were too loud to process anything during like... that entire scene?? Or was that just me.

I love that Eddie got some closure with "Shannon" because I've long felt that he loved his marriage to Shannon and the idea of Shannon more than he loved Shannon herself. Eddie struggles to love romantic partners exactly as they are for this very reason--he's after a vision, not a person. Eddie also doesn't want to admit that he and Shannon didn't actually know each other; they dated steadily as teenagers, but as adults, even after they got married and had Christopher, they were, as Eddie himself admitted, "apart more often than they were together."

I do NOT like what they're doing with the whole Christopher and Marisol walking in on his scene with Kim. Let the Kim storyline end, it has run its course. If they wanted to get rid of Marisol, which I think is their plan, have Eddie just break up with her, but this whole new drama they set up in 7x09 is doing way too much.

BUT I haven't been unhappy at all with S7 so far, so I guess I'm willing to be open minded to where this may go!

two interesting things from last night:

1. during the medal scene, it was cutting from each person to their partner or family. but when buck got his medal, it didn’t pan to tommy, instead it panned to eddie (and chris)

2. although delusional, eddie was aware of what he was doing with kim was wrong and yet he could not pull himself away from doing it. however, one conversation with buck, the man immediately went and told her what was happening.

there were obviously more pressing things that happened in this episode that are more important, but these details are there for a reason and we shouldn’t forget that
