“It’s An Exciting Space To Be Involved With” – Says Abhishek Bachchan Regarding His Debut In Digital Platform With Breathe 2

Taking a break for quite a long time, Guru Actor Abhishek Bachchan has made a comeback into movies with Anurag Kasyap’s Manmarziyaan. Soon, Abhishek is going to debut in the digital space with Breathe 2 on Amazon Prime Video. In the previous season, R. Madhavan has been seen in the lead. For the second season, Abhishek may take the top spot.

On asking the reason behind saying yes to a web series like Breathe 2, Yuva actor Abhishek Bachchan has said “The story and vision of the director and the entire team excited me. I had also immensely enjoyed watching season 1 and felt this was a perfect follow-up.” Later on, we have insisted the actor to say about his role a little. In reply, Abhishek has said hesitantly “Unfortunately, I’m not at liberty to discuss that.”

Several mainstream Bollywood actors have made foray in to digital platform in the last year. Right now, names like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Saif Ali Khan, Rajkummar Rao and Ali Faizal may come to your mind. However, lots of actors still not eager to enter in to digital space.

In the first season, Amit Sadh has been seen along with R. Madhavan. Reviews received by the first season are pretty great. Now, second season of Breathe 2 will be led by Abhishek Bachchan and Mirzya actor Saiyami Kher. Regarding the pressure of comparison between seasons, Abhishek has told us “The first part was brilliant. I’m sure everyone will already start making comparisons. Nonetheless, it doesn’t bother me. I have to do my job to the best of my ability.”

Regarding story telling in the digital platform, Abhishek has said “I feel they always have (given that respect to these shows). Viewers like to watch anything that is engaging, regardless of the platform. It’s an exciting space to be involved with as it has cutting-edge storytelling.”
