I'll commandeer a ship this is what pirates do, Then I'll search for treasure and mermaids in the blue. As a pirate captain I'll have a scurvy crew, They may be scallywags but this fact is true, They'll do as I say because they fear my sword, And if they do not mutiny they'll have their reward. Of gold doubloons, sparkling jewels, pearls, and kingly crowns, They can have all the treasure once it has been found. Because I do not treasure jewels or doubloons of gold, The treasure for me is a life lived at sea as a pirate brash and bold. I know it is time to make my pirate dream come true, To live life outside the rules as all pirates do. How about you? The one dessert you could eat for the rest of your days!?

This is also super tough cause I love sweets too! If it's for the rest of my days, I'm gonna have to go with the classic, if somewhat boring, chocolate chip cookie. But a really amazing chocolate chip cookie, like the giant, gooey, delicious ones from this place called Levain Bakery here in ny :)

HELP!!!

Ok my Chicago tumblr loves... I need your help. 

It's my lovely friend Sam's birthday this weekend and we're going ALL out.  We will be spending Friday night in the city to celebrate. 

Here's where your help comes in.  What are your FAVORITE places to go out on a Friday night in the city?  I'm talking Chicago proper, downtown.  And let's scratch Rush street off the list.  We want to go somewhere cool, fun - but not too crazy, music and dancing is a plus.

So... where are your best Friday night spots??

Ladies Night

Sunday nights are always better spent with friends in my opinion. Otherwise I just sit around dreading Monday morning's arrival. Sam came over for some turkey chili & biscuits, wine and to watch The Walking Dead premier. The chili was spicy, the biscuits were baked to perfection and it was much better having mini anxiety attacks over the show with some company! ;) Our ladies nights usually turn out fabulous - I'd have to say we're pretty good at it now and that's awesome. Now if only I didn't have to go to work for the next 5 days...
