This week's #sandbagchallenge2017 is something that is seemingly simple... Getting up!! I like this version for different reasons than I like the Kettlebell TGU. The Kettlebell provides feedback through the shoulder joint and requires shoulder stability through the scapula. This version mimics more of a life like situation. I've used this movement when picking up things when my son was a baby and would only sleep on top of me, so I needed to maneuver to pick things up at times. It's also useful for any grappler or ground based athlete. MMA and BJJ Athletes will find this useful.
