Ethnic Muslims/Bosniaks in Bosnia and Sandzak according to 1991 census

An NGO called the Bosniak Cultural Centre Sandzak plans to show a documentary entitled ‘Osman Rastoder – Liberation from Oblivion’ in the mainly Bosniak-populated town in the north of Montenegro.[...]

Vukotic said that the authorities should prevent the promotion of convicted war criminals, stressing that Rastoder’s militia was part of Nazi German armed forces. [...]

In June 1941, Rastoder was appointed as commander of the local Muslim militia responsible for the area around the town of Petnjica. During a Communist-led uprising against Italian occupation forces on July 13, 1941, Rastoder attacked insurgents in the northern town of Berane. [...]

In September 2015, when Petnjica was run by the Bosniak Party, local officials proposed that one of the streets in Petnjica should be named after Rastoder, stressing he was defending the Bosniak population from monarchist pro-Serb Chetnik forces. Local authorities rejected the proposal, warning that Rastoder was a war criminal. [...]

In February 2021, a street in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo was named after Rastoder. [...]

In Montenegro, the Italians and Germans collaborated with the monarchist, pro-Serb Chetnik movement. In northern parts of the country, some local ethnic Albanians and Bosniaks collaborated with German forces, either as part of the Albanian nationalist paramilitary movement Balli Kombetar or as part of local Muslim militia units. They fought the Yugoslav Partisans, led by Josip Broz Tito.

Published more than eight professional poems in Pec/Peja, til 2004

Member of The Sandzak Association of Journalists (SUN), in Novi Pazar, til 2004,

Corresponding  Journalists  in the Independent Magazine for Politic and Cultura, Revija Sandzak til 1999, in Novi Pazar,

Professor of Economics Subjects at the  Albanian Ali Hadri, High Economics School, previously named Mileva Vukovic, Pec/Peja, til 2004. Mileva Vukovic was partisan in the second World War.

Had multilingual professional skills in previously Serbo-Croat, now known as  Montenegrin,  Albanian and working limited skills in Esperanto.

Volunteered for local community
