Today I took the boys to the Kidz Power Workshop by Safely Ever After. They learned age appropriate skills and protocol to help them identify, prevent and report sex abuse threats, as well it touched on child abduction. Pattie Fitzgerald was so awesome! . Her presentation was simple, upbeat and NOT scary - if you are SoCal based and haven’t been I highly recommend you organize within your preschool or elementary school friends to bring her in to teach your group. . Yes, I go over some of this stuff with my kids already, but it’s super helpful to have a third party validate it all and, honestly, I learned some way better terminology and explanations than I had been previously using. . . Looks like your ready to be Kicking ass and taking names ! #Repost @sarahaleyfit ・・・ Today is not Monday. It’s a new day . . . Let’s do this Tuesday. ☕️ How are you doing today? What do you do when you are struggling? If you saw my post yesterday, you know my Monday was a bit of a struggle. It’s funny though . . . after I put it on there on IG I actually did a few things that made the second half of my day better than my first. In case you’re having a day like I had, here are 4 things that got me out of my funk, so that by 6 pm (LOL) I was feeling better than I did at 6 am. 1️⃣ Went to hot yoga (so that means move your body!). The stretching and sweat really helped me open up my mind and body and probably get rid of any of the toxins that were pulling me down. 2️⃣ Had my favorite blended (easy vanilla) latte. Although I’ve been laying off the blended lattes recently, I needed it yesterday for sure. Oh and had some French fries too (not that I support emotional eating but hey, we all have our days). 3️⃣In the car I listened to the Armchair Expert podcast with @daxshepard. It was an interview with Jason Bateman. Their hilarious chat about marriage and parenthood lightened my mood. 4️⃣I chatted with my friend and assistant @jennrosebaker who I know also “had a day.” It was nice to vent with a girlfriend and brainstorm about future plans . . . fun stuff is coming soon.
