TCS SAP Cloudify: Revolutionizing SAP Deployments

TCS SAP Cloudify automates Google Cloud SAP deployments with one touch
Cloud transformations are being undertaken by businesses in order to provide scalable and secure infrastructure, enhanced resource availability, a higher return on investment, and improved user experiences. They utilise various cloud adoption tactics, such as multi or hybrid cloud systems, based on company needs. Those organisations intending to deploy SAP on Cloud are looking into options that would allow for a seamless transformation.
However, organisations encounter a number of hurdles in this transformation process, including a lack of automation, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and DevOps.
Running on-premises SAP environments in uncertain and changing market conditions presents a number of challenges, including scalability issues that lead to increased CapEx, inability to meet innovation demands, ever-changing infrastructure needs and cost overruns, time-consuming and error-prone manual tasks, and poor security.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has created SAP Cloudify, an automation system that addresses these on-premises issues and speeds up cloud migration. This framework adds to Google Cloud’s significant investments in flexible and configurable SAP deployment, automation, and operational solutions, such as Workload Manager for SAP Solutions. TCS SAP Cloudify is founded on the following principles:
Automation
Optimisation
Reducing and reusing
This solution’s primary features are as follows:
Built with supervised automation, secure infrastructure
A unified pipeline for provisioning VMs, cloud resources, and the SAP application.
Passwords for critical positions are generated automatically and stored securely.
Scripts that can be customised to fit a variety of scenarios
Automation-led migration from assessment to execution on Google Cloud.
Tools, best practises, and automation scripts for efficient SAP application implementation, migration, and operation.
TCS SAP Cloudify offers automation-led migration from assessment to execution on Google Cloud, in cooperation with existing Google Cloud migration services. The solution includes tools, best practises, and automation scripts that allow businesses to easily implement, migrate, and run SAP applications with:
increased productivity
enhanced system quality
improved agility and security
TCO reduction
Downtime reduction
Process automation has been increased.
Business insights in real time
Reduce the time to market
Let’s look more closely into TCS SAP Cloudify.
The discovery phase of the cloud journey begins with TCS analysing the client landscape with preset documents that aid in understanding the landscape, difficulties, pitfalls, decision on move groups, and proper sizing of the SAP system. This step also aids in determining network bandwidth and other cloud resource requirements.
Following the assessment phase, in which the SAP capacity planning and move groups are determined, we proceed to the migration phase, which begins with the provisioning of VMs and the installation of the OS and SAP apps. TCS SAP Cloudify has included a collection of reusable automation assets on Google Cloud to customise SAP applications for greenfield and brownfield SAP migrations based on customer needs.
TCS SAP Cloudify assists with evaluation, planning, and automation-led migration execution for migrating SAP apps to Google Cloud utilising pre-built CI/CD pipelines backed by Terraform and Ansible scripts.
Installations/deployments: In greenfield deployments, automation scripts assist in standing up SAP applications faster based on sizing and environment needs (Dev, QA,Prod, and DR). The SAP Cloudify framework supplements existing Google Cloud automation scripts, with a focus on customisation for complex dispersed SAP installations or a wider landscape with multi-regional needs.
TCS SAP Cloudify’s automation scripts offer a wide range of possibilities for many SAP applications. The scripts allow for easy customization and can suit a variety of scenarios such as standalone, distributed, custom SAP applications, database deployments, and so on. These automation scripts receive input from a.csv file and are deployed via the Google Cloud CLI.
The following scenarios are available for greenfield implementations on Google Cloud:
HANA DB VM Installation Setup SAP S/4HANA
SAP ECC running on HANA
BW/4HANA SAP
SAP BW post-processing on HANA Solution Manager
SAP BODS, BOBJ Web Dispatcher — FL/PAL HANA Addons
These automation scripts are resilient, dynamic, and secure in order to suit the needs of customers. Furthermore, post-installation tasks such as SPAU and SPDD, as well as automated bulk transport requests, are automated.
Migration: In many migration circumstances, organisations select the appropriate migration option depending on their requirements, criticality, and downtime tolerance. The TCS SAP Cloudify architecture consists of selecting the appropriate SAP certified VMs, adding necessary disc space and other network components, and installing SAP apps, including a secondary server for HANA replication. This reduces the overall time required to construct and move SAP applications while also minimising downtime.
TCS SAP Cloudify migration scenarios include high availability (HA) and failover configuration, export and import, backup and restore, retrofit transport movement, and system copy or system refresh of SAP systems.
TCS SAP Cloudify intends to automate the necessary migration steps, such as export/import, backup/restore, and HANA system replication. TCS SAP Cloudify, in collaboration with Google Cloud, enables error-free restores with decreased complexity that are 30% faster than traditional manual restores.
TCS provides Application Managed Services (AMS) support. SAP Cloudify enables organisations to manage their SAP applications on Google Cloud more effectively. SAP Cloudify provides automation scripts for the most typical operational tasks, such as SAP application stop/start, kernel upgrade, HANA HSR, client copy, and backup/restore.
TCS’ solution enhances resource efficiency and reduces concerns related with activity downtime, allowing organisations to focus their resources on other vital application support activities.
TCS’s cooperation with SAP has aided organisations in their business growth and digital transformation for over two decades. TCS’ SAP-led business transformation experience is grounded in extensive industry and technical expertise, as well as trusted contextual knowledge, allowing enterprises to rebuild the digital core, reimagine business processes, and address business challenges.[MJ1] [RS2].
Our best-of-breed offerings, advice, and delivery expertise enable enterprise-level technology-driven business transformation and return on investment. Furthermore, TCS’ Google Business Unit offers end-to-end cloud migration, application and data modernization, managed services, artificial intelligence (AI), SAP on the cloud, digital transformation, and industry-specific business innovation on Google Cloud.[MJ3] [RS4]
Prepare to install TCS SAP Cloudify on Google Cloud for a smooth migration of your SAP systems, regardless of their size, the complexity of your current journey, or budget constraints.

Shoresy and the team giving reader shit for smoking cigs, and reader shitting on them for dipping?
Reader has OCD so before every game they sit outside in full gear minus skates, having to Tapp the smoke twice on one knee and the lighter twice on the other before lighter, one of the boys sits with reader and notices when they do the tapping they win the game so slowly every member comes and sits out, Sanger too eventually after wondering where the fuck everyone is, even Laura reports on it and each team mate gives the reader a kiss on the head before heading in before the reader flicks the butt like Wayne from LK does before a scrap and that becomes part of the ritual?
I’m SO sorry this took as long as it did for me to write but I really hope you love it!! Thanks for your patience, support, and your great writing ideas!!!🫶❤️
OCD on the Ice
Slice of Life
Cast of Shoresy x gn!reader
Warnings: cussing; I used Google translate for the one sentence of French so please don’t come for me if it’s not correct😅
It was these quiet moments before the game that you absolutely relished; there was nothing better to you than sitting in full hockey gear as you mentally prepared yourself for the exhilarating time on the ice you were about to experience once again. Fiddling with the pack of smokes in your hand, you eventually took one out and lit it, hoping to ease your mind of its racing thoughts. You tapped the cigarette twice on one knee, repeating the same motion with the lighter on the other, as you always did before a game. That was just part of your ritual—you didn’t question why your OCD demanded it since it was one of your easier compulsions to control and you’d like to keep it that way. Finally lighting the smoke, you took a long drag as your worries melted away with the help of the product between your fingers.
“You fuckin’ smokin’ out here like some bum?”
“Fuck off, Shoresy,” you replied as your captain took a seat on the steps next to you. He reached into his pocket and procured his trusty dip, sticking some more in his already full mouth.
You screwed up your nose in disgust. “That stuff is so nasty.”
“Huh? I couldn’t hear ya through the cloud of smoke you’re blowing, Willie Nelson.”
“Fuck off,” you mumbled again, finishing your cigarette and leaving it in the communal ashtray.
“We ‘avin a get together out here, b’ys?” asked Hitch who was now busy spitting into his dip cup. He looked down and opened his eyes in surprise. “Oh, y/n, didn’t see ya there through the haze! Y’ like a chimney during a Newfie winter!”
You shot him a dirty look while tapping the cigarette twice on your knee, doing the same with the lighter on the other, just as before.
“Dipping’s easier,” Shoresy said, taking note of your actions.
“And convenient,” Goody chimed in on his arrival. He nodded in your direction. “You do that before every game.”
“Hm? Oh, not every game,” you replied sheepishly as more of your teammates poured out of the door to come outside for a tobacco break, “just the ones we win.”
“Ce sont les seuls jeux qui comptent,” Dolo added, the boys all nodding in agreement.
(“Those are the only games that count.”)
The entirety of your team was now outside with you, shooting the breeze while waiting to start shooting the puck.
“You’re such a sight for sore eyes,” gushed Shoresy when Laura made an appearance, having stopped to say hello to the team before heading inside to work.
She rolled her eyes playfully. “You’re such a sap.” The reporter then gestured toward your hands that you were again tapping, this time subconsciously. “Pregame ritual?”
“Yeah. How’d you know?”
“Seen plenty of players’ over the years,” she explained. “They’re all different yet they all strangely seem to work.”
You were deep in conversation with Laura when your impromptu hangout session was suddenly interrupted.
“What the fuck is going on out here?”
Your lighter flew out of your hand in surprise and landed softly in a pile of snow that had accumulated by your side.
“Jus’ a team buildin’ exercise with tha b’ys, Coach,” explained Hitch with a fairly toothless smile.
“I’m giving us good press,” you quickly added, jabbing your thumb in Laura’s direction while the blonde gave a little wave to Sanguinet. He took in a deep breath, clearly annoyed, but also relieved to have found his players who’d mysteriously disappeared from the locker room.
“Get your asses inside,” he said, eyeing you and your teammates. “You have a game to win.”
“Good luck in there,” Laura called out to you, entering the barn’s front doors.
“You can go ahead and finish your ritual. We need you at your best tonight,” Shoresy told you. He leaned over and gave your forehead a quick kiss before going back inside to get his skates on.
“Tha’s a nice new ritual we should partake in,” said Hitch. Your brow furrowed in confusion, not knowing what he meant, but your question was answered when you felt his lips on your forehead as well. Wordlessly, one by one, the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs kissed your forehead prior to walking back to the locker room. You didn’t know why they did it, but you sure as hell weren’t mad about it. Their sign of affection ignited another burst inside you of energy and enthusiasm for the game—not just tonight, but for the rest of the season.
With one last run through of tapping your lighter and pack of cigarettes against your knees, you stood up, taking a final inhale of the cig in your mouth. Ready to take on whatever the other team was going to throw at you, you flicked the cigarette butt away from you and stood stoically for a moment instead of immediately rushing inside, leading you to feel even more emboldened.
I’m definitely doing this before every game.

Notes for Outer Wilds World-Building
-head canon heavy, but grounded in reason I think-
Healthcare: Lots of treating symptoms but not a ton of fixing the thing that caused the initial problem as the Hearthian body is remarkably sturdy and when self-healing can't take care of it, it would take some advanced healthcare to fix it (ex. punctured lung, strong infection). And that's not always something the Hearthians have, as why would they put a ton of effort into advanced pharmaceuticals like penicillin and invasive internal surgeries when it's so rare that someone gets hurt to that point and doesn't immediately die from it in a matter of days? I picture most medicine is herbal in nature, plant-derived and highly concentrated if necessary, such as opioids/morphine for pain that can be taken by injection until you get home and can patch yourself up. Bandages and bed rest and going off of what's taught to you (with a dose of improvising) are key to Hearthian healthcare. For the Hearthians, it's less unwillingness to help in cases of disability and more not being sure how, as the tech to do so would need to be jury-rigged or made from scratch. How well this helps varies as some things like missing limbs and damaged hearing can be accounted for but things like malfunctioning kidneys can't. Ironically, diabetes would spell bad news for a Hearthian.
Food: They don't have birds on Timber Hearth or else we'd see a lot more primitive wings for flying, so that means the animal life differs from earth. Lots of bugs and amphibians and fish, but very few mammals if any as fur is weird to the Hearthians. Hearthians are likely omnivores, given their history, but no trapping of land animals beyond insects. I imagine mostly teams of gatherers picking food from known locations and being careful about how much they take, and maybe some "controlled burnings" to clear out unwanted brush and give room to grow for the plants they actually want. The burnings may be more of an accident but the effect is the same regardless. Berries, nuts (especially pine nuts), cattail tubers and pith, water reed shoots, edible wild greens, and bread made from the flour of ground up tubers/acorns/pine nuts is common. This is supplemented by fish, the fat of which (Google candle fish) and the gelatin formed by boiling their bones are also used in many things. Marshmallows are made the old way, from mallow roots and sugar cane. Snow covered in sap or molasses is a treat, made more common with the invention of rockets that let you grab snow and fly it back to the village before it melts. Chera (borrowed from the fandom) is a tough, fibrous fruit that is sort of bready and is used much like apples are as a thickener in bread and eaten as mash on its own. Pickling, smoking, and canning are very common in Hearthian culture and are key ways of preserving food for when certain key gathered plants are out of season. During the insect mating season when the flies are out in full force, people will smack the clouds of bugs with sap-covered sheets of metal, scrape the bugs off, and grill them up into patties like burgers. This time of year is all hands on deck and not everyone likes eating fly patties but as food, it's incredibly nutritious and ground up flies are sometimes added to food that is lacking. Cooking is communal for the bulk of it, with a town cook pot and storehouse being open to the public to pull from, but if you want to eat beyond standard hours or mass-produced fare, you're on your own and you best hope you know how to cook over a wood fire stove. Filling the communal food pot is often a job foisted on hatchlings and the elders supervise. Specialty foods like sap wine are a trade item or are saved for celebrations and traditions.
Travel: Hearthians don't have wheeled carts as getting things into their crater via wheeled cart would be difficult at best. Instead they'll drag chopped down trees where they need to go via sleds or float them on the rivers or lower them into the crater with elevators. Anything else they'll carry down personally. To get around the planet, Hearthians just walk and if it takes more than a day, they camp along the way. Now that ships are a thing however, travel has shrunk the world by a lot- not that it does the average Hearthian much good. The ships are dangerous, prone to causing fires if one tries to land on Timber Hearth proper as rockets plus grass equals bad. A skilled pilot can pick a decent landing spot that's damp or barren enough to not be a problem, but it's usually so far from where you want to go that it's better to walk anyway. Said average Hearthians also do not like dealing with g-forces or potential death. Those are the only reasons why it's not normal for astronauts to ferry average Hearthians around like a taxi service or to take materials from point A to point B across the planet. None of this matters on the Attlerock however, as there's nothing to catch fire there, so ships will haul stuff up there all the time at Esker and Hornfels' behest. Rocket fuel is made from flammable gases pumped up from underground by the mining equipment as waste. It used to be released into the atmosphere to keep the miners from suffocating or exploding (a problem, sometimes those spouts would catch alight) but Slate had the bright idea of storing it in tanks under pressure. They already had pressurized air for the miners at the deepest depths to breathe where air was hard to come by, why couldn't they bottle up the waste gases to dispose of more safely? Like burning it elsewhere?
Clothing: Fabric is made from the fibers of a linen-like plant called flush, names for the purplish hue at the base of the reed's stem. The weavers' house is filled with Hearthians whose job it is to separate the fibers out and spin them into thread. From there, the weaver in charge of the loom will dye the thread with plant-based dyes and use a flying loom to quickly weave bolts of fabric. It takes a LOT of thread to make fabric but thanks to the weavers' bugging Slate into making them into a machine running off water power, the thread-making time has been cut down significantly. However, the whole process still takes a while so most Hearthians only own a few pieces of clothing and they're expected to patch it, hand-me-down it, and wash it until it is literally in rags before they get more. Hatchlings get the worst of it, they get pretty much nothing but hand-me-down clothes as they outgrow things too fast for unique outfits for each of them. Scarves, hats, and handkerchiefs are an exception and are often the only piece of clothing a hatchling has that survives to adulthood, which makes them all the more precious. Dresses- which take more fabric- and anything patterned or multicolored is a sign of indulgence/finery or a very nice gift and is such relegated to fancy clothes for fine events. Shoes are made of fish leather or treated fabric strips wrapped around a wood sole and structure and then sewn in place.
Economy: Hearthians run on a trade economy, with every person expected to contribute in some way. You are always guaranteed food from the communal cook pot and shelter in either a house of your own or on someone else's couch/floor, but beyond that you get side-eyed if you ask for things too often without offering something in return. Fortunately, Hearthians have a strong oral tradition and a very relaxed (boring) lifestyle so most are happy to trade gossip and stories for basic amenities. Building houses, weaving fabric, gathering food, working in the mines, and watching the hatchlings and tasks like those are ones that are never required for people to do, you can walk off and take a break whenever. However, it's seen as poor taste to do that for more than a few days at a time without cause because if you aren't working, you're letting your fellow Hearthians down. If you can't do big work for health reasons or lack of skill, you're expected to pick up small work like knitting, patching things up, cooking at the communal food pot, etc. What most hatchlings end up doing is they either find a passion and just continue with it into a proper "job" that helps the village in some way, they get an apprenticeship, or they get picked up by an adult and pretty much conscripted in order to "keep them out of trouble." Fire watch and astronaut and jobs like it are jobs of high prestige and are very demanding in the body, and as such run as apprenticeships with Gossan and Tektite selecting who they want to teach from those that come up to them and ask to learn. Such jobs don't do much to physically help the village (beyond bringing back space relics but those aren't always useful to the village at large) but they do bring in a ton of interesting stories and those are prime currency for the Hearthians.
Life Cycle: Hearthians are hermaphrodites that breed like fish do- during certain times of year, Hearthians may feel the urge to slip down to the river and release sperm and eggs into the water. Couples can go together, but most don't make much of it, seeing them as temporary dalliances or choosing to put up with being a little hot and itchy for a few days, refusing to go, and then the season is done for them for the year. The sperm and eggs mingle in warm underground pools and incubate there until they get hard and heavy enough to be picked up by the current. Due to how the waters of Timber Hearth run, the eggs more or less end up being carried to the same place every year where Hearthians in charge of raising hatchlings go to pick them up. The eggs are candled to check for life, then swaddled and placed into cribs to hatch. Hatchlings are raised in batches together in the Hatchling House, with sick ones quarantined in a back room to keep the rest from getting ill (so things like measles don't wipe out a whole generation). Hatchlings are fed mash until their baby teeth fall out, then they are fed real food like fish with bones in it. They only are named when the caretaker is sure that they will survive their first month or three of life, then they are introduced to the village by that name. They are allowed to go outside for the first time once they can walk and talk a little bit, an occasion marked by giving them shoes. After that, a hatchling may leave the Hatchling House to live on their own once they have a place to stay lined up, work, and they either can drink sap wine (which hatchlings don't have the enzymes to digest) or meet a certain height. As Hearthians age, the ears droop more, the skin pales, and the body starts failing. Past a certain age a Hearthian just kinda stops healing, as if all their sturdiness is limited to their younger years, and if they survive past even that, then their mind begins to go. Deaths are grieved and the dead buried with song and music being played with a space being left in the song for the deceased to "play a solo" and the rest of the band picking up after as a reminder that life goes on. In a few rare cases, hatchlings can imprint on an adult and vice versa, which gives rise to more "standard" parent child bonds and frequently, apprenticeships.
Calendar: The Hearthian planet does have seasons, sort of, but mostly a "hot and dry" vs "cool and wet" divide. No snow, their winters are just slightly more rain than usual and their summers are slightly warmer and with a chance for thunderstorms. However, there are still holidays involved with the changing of the seasons, mostly tied to when food is more or less available and when the solstices are. The alignment of the planets is also celebrated but that's a more recent celebration that popped up and it intensified into a major holiday only when the observatory got built with its ability to lock down alignments to exact dates. Breeding season is an informal holiday, being a few days in Spring and Autumn where sap wine is plentiful and people are expected to take some time off from work to relax. Hearthian formal holidays involve getting everyone in the village to sing, dance, and play music together around a bonfire. Stories and sap wine flow thick and fast and the best storytellers and musicians are treated to the best food and treats. Musicians will sometimes "duel" for funsies to see who is better at improvising and technical skills, to the joy of the crowd. Informal celebrations, like when an astronaut launches for the first time or one comes home or a batch of hatchlings are given a name on their name day lead to similar events, just scaled down some with only non-busy people attending. However, Hearthians love a good party so many will make time for such gatherings if they can.

Prologue
The air was clear and icy, with a tang of tree sap almost blocking rotting stench of algae and duckweed coming from the swampland. The sun, peach pink behind the veil of bluish clouds, was slowly disappearing out of sight behind a dark, jagged wall of pines. In the clearing, trees were glowing with all the shades of orange, as if the sun was actually melting into the ground just to be absorbed by the roots.
Lush fruit trees surrounded the clearing, their leaves red and golden, their branches hanging low, heavy with fruits. Red apples, green apples, pears of all shapes and sizes, shadberries, quinces, walnuts, aronia… all growing from the same root! It was almost impossible to tell, which seeds were originally planted here, their bark was a jumble of browns, grays and greens.
Apple sapling, growing in the center of the clearing, shook as someone huge stomped past it.
Cowberry took a deep breath and dug his claws deeper into the ground, enjoying the feeling of cool water seeping through thick layer of white moss. Shaking water off his wings, plump young dragon walked around the tree and picked up one of its apples off the ground. Big, at least twenty times bigger than wild forest apples, which rarely grow bigger than cherries. A bit too soft, with a small scratch on its side, but otherwise fine. Cowberry sniffed it and took a bite. Apple juice, honey sweet with an unusual hint of apricot and carrot filled his mouth. Young MudWing finished his apple in two bites and sat down, squinting at the sunset, his dappled amber and golden underscales glowing as if they were made of pure fire.
«So how's it?»
Cowberry swung his big brown head around, turning towards dark and mossy spruce trees on the other side of the clearing. Black shadows behind large unrooted oak stirred, and another dragon stepped into the light. Berry was fairly large for a three year old dragonet, almost as big as an adult. But the other dragon was even bigger and much more intimidating. Another MudWing, tall and well muscled, with broad flat head covered in battle scars, big snout with nostrils on top of it. However, as he walked out of the forest and golden rays of the sun hit dragon's scales, his color didn't really change that much. Sable was solid black, darker than any NightWing, the only light spots being his bright yellow eyes and wrinkled long scars on, seemingly, every part of his body. One of his wings was torn off almost completely, leaving only one claw, another had three spear holes in it.
«You gave me a heart attack, Sable. And my heart attack has got a heart attack on its own! Don't you ever do that again!» he scolded his uncle jokingly, rolling his eyes and clutching his chest.
«You picked that from your grandmother, didn't you, Berry?» coal black MudWing stretched, clawing at a flat granite boulder.
Cowberry nodded, round hazel eyes sparkling with amusement.
«You were looking for me?» Sable straightened himself, concerned. «Is something wrong with the nest?»
«No» Berry answered, «I was just wondering what you're doing. That's all! That, and… Sapropel started a mudball fight with Tadpole again and I just want some peace and quiet.»
Sable had lost all of his sibs, including Cowberry's mother, to the war that sparked in the Sand Kingdom and soon spread across the whole continent. Cowberry was only a year and a half old when it ended and didn't remember much of its horrors. He could, however, see, that is has left too much scars on his uncle, not only on his scales, but also on his heart. Although is isn't usual for MudWings to care about their young, Sable took full responsibility to care after Berry and six of his sibs, untill they were old enough to show their independence. Cowberry was the only one who didn't stop hanging out with his uncle.
But it will change very soon. His grandmother's eggs, hidden on the edge of the swamp, were going to hatch in the next few days, if not today. Sable sure was more excited about those eggs than their own mother. He even built his new den on a tall cliff where he could watch the nest. Five little sibs to take care of! Berry also guessed that it wasn't the only reason why his coal black uncle was so interested in them: one of the eggs was different from the others. It was red like a cherry! Berry didn't ask what it means, but he thought it could mean that one of his little aunts was going to be unusually colored, too.
Sable sat next to his nephew and fished a stack of papers out of his pouch.
«I found a patch of rare orchids deeper in the taiga,» he explained, showing charcoal sketch of a weird looking plant, with small flower resembling an obese duck.
«I thought orchids grow much further to the south? In rainforest?»
«No, actually, I've seen more species before, too far away to reach at the moment,» he frowned, looking at the sky, «I better come back!»
«If you're worried, I can watch the eggs instead,» Berry offered, «I will call you is something happens!»
«That would be nice», Sable took a piece of charcoal pressed between two wooden planks in his talons and started taking notes next to the drawing of a flower, mumbling to himself.
Cowberry nodded quickly and took off.
His uncle laid down on mossy ground and continued to describe his finds elaborately.
The sun had almost gone, its warm light shined for a brief moment in pines, before finally letting the twilight in. It was much harder to write now, as the forest was completely submerged into the darkness. Sable put his notes in the pouch, well protected under his good wing.
That was when he heard Cowberry's desperate shriek in the distance.
«Sable! The eggs!»
Huge black MudWing jumped up, excited. His little sibs were hatching?! Then, he heard another scream. Too high-pitched to belong to a dragon. Sable's heart sank.
Scavengers!
He ran as fast as possible, for the first time in years wishing he could fly. But, when he reached the swamp, the fight was already over. His other nephew, Peat, held limp body of a small scavenger by its torso, Cowberry and Sapropel were sniffing the ground, trying to pick up scents of the others. Sable's mother, Grouse, sat nearby, looking at her talons.
Despite being throughly hidden between two leaning rocks, behind a wall of dirt, and masked with ferns and ivy, the nest was found. Found and destroyed.
Separate pieces of eggshells scattered around. Four tiny bodies lay near the entrance, just next to a long barbed club.
«Are they–»
Sapropel dipped his head.
«I checked for the pulse,» he nodded at the nest, «The fourth one died just moments ago, and Berry is still looking for the fifth.»
«Those weren't adult scavengers!» Peat noticed, whiping blood from his greenish brown snout. «The others disappeared as soon as they saw Berry approaching. Looks like a game of dare to me!»
«What a fun game!» Sapropel spat, arching his back like an angry cat, «Killing innocent dragonets who can't even fight back!»
«This one tried»
Berry stood over the fifth body, laying farther away under thorny bramble bushes, half pressed into the mud. Sable looked at his little sister, but averted his gaze as soon as he saw a pool of red shining on her head. Looking at the scavenger, he saw two deep bite marks on his foreleg and shoulder, too tiny to be left by an older dragon.
«Her teeth are stained with blood. And it's not her own,» Cowberry explained.
Gently, he pulled dragonet's body out of mud and placed her on a patch of dry lichen. His little aunt's back was dark gray, the colour of thunderstorm clouds. Her scales were rusty red with small spots of the same stormy gray, like pebbles on a river shore.
«Ow! Arf!»
Sable turned around, unable to believe his own ears. He got up and moved closer towards his tiny sister. Looking a bit closer, he could see her chest moving up and down slightly. He sighed with relief, moving his talon across the dragonet's head, wiping away a piece of wet red eggshell he had mistaken for blood. Sister's legs were badly injured and covered in wounds, but she was going to survive. Sable won't let it be the other way.
Grouse stood next to him, frowning. Then, he grabbed her daughter by the chest and reach for her head.
«What do you think you're doing you old fool?!» Sable roared, pushing his mother away.
«Putting it out of its misery,» Grouse flashed an angry look at him.
«You don't get to call my sister «it»! And if you're going hurt her, you're going to get through me first,» black MudWing said, lashing his sides with his tail.
«I'd like to see how would you raise her in your… condition,» she said coldly, looking directly at her son's injured wing, «She will pull you down.»
«Duck dung! I raised Cowberry and his sibs and they turned out fine. So will she.»
«She'll grow up to be a nuisance,» Grouse retorted.
«It'll be my problem, then,» Sable turned away from his mother to Cowberry. «Can you help me?»
With the nephew at his side, Sable managed to pick his sister up and onto his wing. Avoiding eye contact with Grouse, he got up and headed towards a cliff at the edge of the swampland. Berry watched as his uncle stepped into the darkness of his cave, disappearing in it.
Strong smell of different plants immediately hit MudWing's nose. It didn't seem to please his sister. Sable could feel tiny dragonet move on his wing, lifting her head and chirping loudly. Being left without an answer, she called again. And again.
«Tshhh, it'll be okay now,» he spoke very softly, holding her closer.
And again. This time Sable could sense fear in her voice. She was calling her sibs.
«Sorry, dear, but it looks like I'm the only option you have left. Don't you worry, we'll get through it.»
He then put his sister down carefully, lit up a fire in the corner of the cave and started digging through his herb storage. This day had left a new bleeding wound deep inside him, but now he had something to live for. Now he had someone who needed him.

☔️ rain/storm + birds of a feather
where was that idiot?!
the clouds had gathered about an hour ago, dark and menacing, blotting out any hint of the warm afternoon sun. emeryst was annoyed as they soared away from their village to revali's personal training ground. what a prick. couldnt be bothered to come home in the face of a, judging by the general atmosphere, huuge thunderstorm. as rain started to dot their wings and cloud their vision, all emeryst could think about was how fucking annoying this guy was.
sure, he was talented, and definitely easy on the eyes. but good lord he was arrogant. he was self-absorbed, impulsive, selfish, and favoured by the PRINCESS OF HYRULE, as well as rest of the village despite constantly tooting his own horn, so to speak.. whether he'd earned those bragging rights was irrelevant, as far as emeryst was concerned. if he really was as great as he said, maybe he'd be courteous and come home when the weather called for it instead of dicking around until the elder sent some poor sap to go fetch him.
the rain was as quick as they were, and was coming down in full by the time they landed. going home was gonna suck. emeryst looked around and, lo and behold, there he was. flying circles around that.. rock. thing. to be honest, emeryst had never actually been here. most of the village hadnt. as previously stated, it was revalis ~personal~ training grounds, and they had heard he was a bit... particular about guests. oh well. sucks to be him.
they landed, taking a moment to breathe underneath the shelter. it was nice. after a quick shake, they approached the takeoff point, quickly finding revali with a new set of arrows ready to release. he was drenched, and it was visibly weighing him down.
"REVALI!"
he fired and he missed and he shouted something that sounded like a cuss. he glided a little closer, visibly annoyed.
"What do you want?"
"WHAT?"
the rain was loud. revali's irritation grew more obvious as he approached his shelter to find out what they had ruined his shot for.
"I said, what the hell do you want?"
"rude." emeryst grumbled, rolling their eyes.
"elder kaneli sent me... you do know theres a thunderstorm, right?"
their tone was between sarcastic and patronizing. honestly, they wouldnt have been surprised if he didnt.
the rain seemed to get a little heavier, as if to punctuate their question. thunder rolled quietly, distant. approaching.
"Of course I know that, you idiot. Training is important, regardless of the weather; war doesn't reschedule for a little rain, so neither will I."
he sounded so smug, satisfied. he had clearly decided that was all that needed to be said. that was that, he wins. not on your watch. for their sanity, emeryst elected to ignore his insult.
"this isn't "a little rain" revali, this is serious! it has to be, the elder wouldnt send one of us out here in this if it were. please, i just want to go home and wait this out, and im not leaving without you."
emeryst started strong, but by the end of it exasperation bled through. revali opened his beak to reply, but lightning struck before he could. not them, thankfully, but close enough to temporarily blind them. close enough to hear the noise only a moment later.
"well, looks like leaving is off the table for the both of us." revali looked so, so irate, until he smirked.
"guess i ought to get back to—"
"im not letting you go out there."
what followed was essentially the dumbest game of british bulldog ever seen by nobody. not that anyone here would know what that is. hell, i didnt even know. i had to google it. in case you also dont know, its a playground game where one person stops other people from getting past them via any means necessary. you can imagine how that goes. thunder crackles and booms throughout their 'fight' and neither of them notice.
it ended with the two rito in a heap on the ground, panting. emeryst glared down at the champion beneath them, and tried really, really hard not to get flustered by their proximity. or think about the way the rain had slicked back his feathers, or the muscles beneath them.
"are you done?"

How Power BI Solutions Support Data-Driven Digital Transformation

In the era of rapid technological advancement, businesses are increasingly turning to data-driven strategies to remain competitive, agile, and customer-focused. Digital transformation has emerged as a vital objective across industries—from manufacturing to healthcare, retail to finance. A core enabler of this transformation is business intelligence (BI), and among the most effective tools available today is the Power BI solution from Microsoft.
What Is Digital Transformation?
Digital transformation refers to the strategic integration of digital technologies into all areas of a business. It goes beyond simply digitizing processes—it involves rethinking business models, customer engagement, operations, and internal workflows with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and scalability.
A Power BI solution plays a key role in this transformation by offering organizations the ability to collect, analyze, and visualize data in real time, turning raw data into actionable intelligence.
Power BI: The Catalyst for a Data-Driven Culture
1. Unified Data Access Across the Organization
One of the biggest challenges in digital transformation is breaking down data silos. Data often resides in disparate systems—CRM, ERP, cloud storage, spreadsheets, and databases—making it difficult to consolidate for analysis.
A Power BI solution seamlessly integrates with hundreds of data sources, including Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, Google Analytics, Salesforce, SAP, and more. This allows businesses to bring together scattered data into a unified view, laying the foundation for strategic decision-making.
2. Real-Time Insights for Agile Decision-Making
Digital transformation thrives on speed and responsiveness. Power BI enables real-time analytics and live dashboards that reflect the most up-to-date metrics across operations, finance, marketing, and sales. These real-time insights empower teams to respond proactively to market shifts, customer behavior changes, and internal inefficiencies.
For instance, a retailer can track live inventory levels and sales data, allowing immediate adjustments to promotions or supply chain decisions. A Power BI solution eliminates guesswork and replaces it with data-backed responsiveness.
Transforming Business Functions with Power BI
1. Finance and Operations
Power BI simplifies complex financial data into visual dashboards that highlight performance metrics like revenue trends, cost optimization, and cash flow. Finance teams gain transparency and can perform deeper analysis with predictive models and historical comparisons.
In operations, Power BI improves process visibility by tracking KPIs such as production efficiency, resource utilization, and turnaround times—enabling lean, optimized workflows.
2. Sales and Marketing
Sales teams use Power BI dashboards to monitor pipelines, lead conversions, territory performance, and customer lifetime value. Marketing teams benefit from campaign analytics, ROI tracking, and customer engagement trends.
With a Power BI solution, both departments align more closely with real-time performance indicators, leading to faster strategy pivots and higher ROI.
3. Human Resources and Employee Engagement
HR departments leverage Power BI to monitor headcount, employee satisfaction, hiring trends, and attrition rates. This data aids in workforce planning, talent management, and organizational health assessments.
Supporting Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics
True digital transformation requires organizations to move from descriptive analytics (what happened) to predictive (what will happen) and prescriptive (what should be done). Power BI integrates with advanced analytics tools such as Azure Machine Learning and R or Python scripts.
This allows companies to build and visualize predictive models directly within their dashboards, such as forecasting sales, identifying churn risks, or optimizing resource allocation. A Power BI solution turns BI from a reactive tool into a proactive strategic asset.
Enabling a Culture of Data-Driven Decision-Making
For digital transformation to be successful, data accessibility must extend beyond the executive level. Power BI promotes the democratization of data, meaning that employees across all levels can access and interact with business intelligence relevant to their role.
With user-friendly interfaces, drag-and-drop visuals, and natural language queries, a Power BI solution empowers non-technical users to explore data, generate reports, and derive their own insights, fostering a culture where decisions are based on facts, not assumptions.
Enhancing Collaboration and Communication
Power BI seamlessly integrates with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools, allowing cross-functional teams to share dashboards, tag team members in reports, and jointly explore data. This alignment of insights promotes collaboration and accelerates collective problem-solving.
Furthermore, automated alerts and scheduled reports keep stakeholders informed without requiring manual intervention, reinforcing transparency and communication.
Scalability and Governance
As businesses grow and their data expands, maintaining governance and data security becomes essential. Power BI offers robust governance features, including role-based access control, row-level security, activity monitoring, and compliance with industry standards like GDPR and HIPAA.
Whether deployed in a small team or across a global enterprise, a Power BI solution scales with the organization while maintaining high standards of governance.
Real-World Example
A healthcare provider undergoing digital transformation adopted a Power BI solution to consolidate patient records, monitor treatment efficiency, and track hospital performance. Within months, the organization reported:
30% improvement in patient throughput
Faster identification of care bottlenecks
Enhanced reporting for regulatory compliance
This transformation not only improved operations but also elevated patient care standards.
Conclusion
Digital transformation isn’t a one-time event—it’s a continuous evolution driven by technology, data, and a commitment to innovation. Microsoft’s Power BI solution acts as a strategic enabler in this journey by providing real-time visibility, actionable insights, and predictive capabilities.
Whether you're modernizing your business model, improving customer experiences, or optimizing internal processes, Power BI is a powerful ally in turning digital aspirations into measurable outcomes. For organizations serious about data-driven transformation, investing in a Power BI solution is a forward-looking and necessary step.
