i must know your thoughts on thomas' use of delusional ass - kc, a fellow schizo sasi fan
OH YEA I completely 4got abt that.
To anyone reading this that doesn't know, I'm schizophrenic. I haven't actually seen any schizospec person talk about Thomas' use of delusional, but I also haven't seen anyone minus like 2 people talking about it (hyperbole). (I don't think it's a big deal that non-schizospecs are talking about it, obviously, but I do want to see other psychotics say anything about it. Though, I don't know if we have that many in this fandom NDHDJDN)
I am uncomfortable with the use of delusional. I don't think he should've used it. But less because of the word and more because of how it compares with his other actions. If that makes sense?
Like. Putting that video side by side with his misuse of intrusive thoughts, his lack of flash warning, his awful apology for his use of infodump, the fucking crofters thing. If it was just by itself, it'd be uncomfortable, but I wouldn't inherently view it as the biggest issue on the planet.
& like the thing is that parasocial relationships can be delusions. Parasocial relationships are very normal and natural and everyone has them, but there's a point where it's not normal. So the video itself isn't wrong, technically.
I saw someone say that "everyone can have delusions, so he can use it" which... regardless of if that's true, it's still uncomfortable seeing someone who is not psychotic using that word.
My main issue is how unaware he is about any neurodivergencies. Not understanding how flash warnings work or when to use them, not understanding why people were upset about the use of infodump, not understanding what intrusive thoughts are. A lot of his actions in regards to NDs are often because it's... """trendy""". Because everyone else is doing it.
(Note: I am not saying NDs are trendy, but things like the word gaslighting being taken completely out of context and used to mean "lying", when it has a very specific meaning; people using intrusive thoughts to mean impulsive thoughts; people using hyperfixation without knowing that it's a catchall for intellectual disabilities; etc)
"Everyone can have delusions, so he can use that word!" Thomas would have never used that word in the first place if it wasn't a "trendy word" on Tik Tok (ex. delulu, schizoposting, etc). People saying they have intrusive thoughts in regards to wanting to dye their hair at 3 am would never be using the word intrusive thoughts, if it wasn't a "trendy word" on Tik Tok.
Compared with his current lowkey ableists actions and the current ableist actions on the internet, I think it's uncomfortable and gross. I don't like it. But the use of the word itself isn't the issue, I don't think.

Book Reviews
[I'm planning to do book reviews since I just recently got back into reading after the longest time. The last time I remember picking up a book willingly was in 6th grade when I read warrior cats lol. But ya I plan on doing book review but we will see how long this lasts as it takes me a while to finish a book because of my major procrastination but also the fact that I have school.]
 𓆉  𓆉  𓆉
Percy Jackson and the Lighting Thief
Just for some context before I get into the review, I have never read percy Jackson. There were always the book divide back in middle school, you were either a percy jackson fan, harry potter fan, twilight fan, or the furries in the corner reading warrior cats [I sadly was one of them, i'm not a furry btw]. One of my friends was a huge fan of percy jackson at the time [during middle school] so during the summer I was scrolling through pinterest and saw this fanart, I knew it was from percy jackson and I was hella bored so I decided to get the book and read it, and let me tell you, I don't regret it.
Before going into the book: I didn't really expect anything since I knew absolutely nothing about the book, all I knew was there was a horrible movie, and that there was this thing called camp half blood witch I thought that majority of the book was going to take place in sort of how harry potter takes place in Hogwarts most of the time. But I have the attention span of a two year old so reading a full book for the first time willingly in a long time was going to be hard. So I did the uhinkableble... I watched the movie. Now hear me out that movie was such a bad movie, like I knew it was bad but sometimes you want to watch a bad movie, but watching this bad move made me want to read the books even more, so I thank the movies. But I will say I love how the movie made camp halfblood look, like it looks exactly like how I imagined it to look.
Overall book: The overall book was good, the fact that this was the book that got me back into reading says something. I loved the characters and the little adventures they went on to make it to the end goal. This book also made me much more invested in Greek mythology than I already was. There were some parts were I started to get board since it was kind of like an adventure book, and some of the adventures were a little boring or I wished some of the adventures would last longer, ex; the casino I wished it lasted a little bit longer, maybe I was heavily influenced by the movie which made the casino part way longer. Also the movie did a horrible job portraying the book like I felt like the movie I watched and the book I just read were not the same thing, but I guess it was good since I didn't get a huge spoiler.
Characters: I originally thought I wasn't going to like Annabeth, because if she was anything like Hermione from Harry Potter than you can just get her out of here [as you can see I personally don't like Hermione]. But I was proven wrong, there were some points that I didn't like her but I didn't hate her, like I felt like we could be friends or something, overall she was an okay character. Grover was okay he wasn't anything special for me but i never hated him. Now my favorite characters, Aries and Percy, ill start with Percy. I love Percy he was so adorable and I loved how sasy he was, like gave no shit that the gods could be listening to him at sometimes. I usually NEVER like the main characters since they always seem the same, but Percy proved me wrong his sas and the way he acts like a main protagonist but with some sas, it makes his personality all the more perfect, so now Percy is my favrote character and I will protect this pure bean for eternity. Now my more controversial favorite character Ares, now hear me out. I like Ares cuz he gives me badass toxic dad energy, like he is not going to take anyone's shit, especially if its coming from a kid even though he acts childish himself. My favorite parts of this book was the interaction between Percy and Ares how Percy didn't give a shit that he was a god who had more power he wasn't going to be pushed around, then we have ares this cool god being told of by this child while Annabeth and Grover are like in the corner praying for there dear life that Arese doesn't do anything to them.
Rating: 𓆉  𓆉  𓆉  .5 / 5 turtles
Overall I give this book  𓆉  𓆉  𓆉  .5 / 5 turtles, it was a good book to start with and get back into reading but its not something I see myself reading again, like it was a good experience for a one time thing, maybe in the near future but as for now i'm satisfied with the book.

1, 7, 15, and 17 for the fanfic asks? ❤️ i wanted to post these but i still haven’t written anything!! i really want to but i still haven’t been able to 😅🤦🏼‍♀️
Thank you, honeybee! ♥ I totally feel you, it’s the worst when you really, really want to just sit and write but you just can’t do this?? I hope your inspiration and ability to focus on writing will be back soon ♥ Take all the time you need to recharge tho :’)
1. If you’re an author, how many WIPs do you currently have? (Be honest!)
I have... 3. Ish. I think. I have 3 that are actually started and two more that are just bullet point ideas. And I’m totally thinking about starting something for NaNoWriMo but it’s 29th of October already and I don’t even know what could I work on?? I didn’t have time to think about any more elaborate ideas that I could write for it but I kinda want to do this again, my two longest fics were born as NaNoWriMo projects :’)
7. What’s the last thing you read that made you cry?
It was totally the where the days are longer by @endofadream :’)) It was such a beautiful fic, it broke and mended and warmed my heart and it t turned me into a crying mess, it was soo good :’))
15. Post the last line you wrote without context.
The beautiful, sasy man, standing in front of him, barefoot, in just his boxer briefs and a loose t-shirt, with his cheeks red and hair messy is definitely too good to be true.
😏😏😏
17. Describe a fic that is still in the ‘ideas’ stage.
Omgg I have quite a few of them! But for the longest time I wanted to write a NASA themed AU and I’ve mentioned it to you a while ago lmao. I was thinking about it when I was still writing mainly for my old fandom (it was 1D idk why I never mention it kdjadkja) but now I can’t help thinking about writing some kind of a Martian AU cause i absolutely love this movie?? And Seb was so cute in it?? So like it could either be that both of them are astronauts and end up on a mission together and even though they know it’s not professional and there’s policy about not allowing feelings to interfere and distract them from the fact that they’re in the damn space, they just can’t help it? Spending so much time together, they can’t help to see they have so much in common and they could talk for hours, if they could? OR an AU where Bucky is an astronaut and he meets Steve and they go along really well and go for a couple of dates and it’s going great. But for some reason Bucky never outright said to Steve what his job was (like he could mention he works for NASA as an engineer or sth) and then Bucky is like “I know it’s gonna sound like I’m trying to blow you off and I PROMISE I’m not, but I need to leave for a couple months?” and Steve is like “you can just say you don’t want to go out with me anymore, I can take it”. And Bucky starts explaining that it’s not like this, but he is actually being sent to the International Space Station and Steve is like “????? that’s the most creative way to broke up with someone I’ve ever heard?” and it takes ages for Bucky to convince him that he adores Steve and there’s nothing more he’d love more than to take Steve for as many dates as he wants but he is ACTUALLY an astronaut?
dhakjda that turned out longer than I expected lmaoo As you can see, I’m pretty into those ideas but I’m too scared to start working on them? I don’t wanna mess this up??

Final week (both for program and the year, proper)!
-
Dec. 26
I woke up after 11AM, today. And one of the first things I got done today was some exercise.
First, yesterday’s DD. 2′ meditation with EC. Kinda had no good reason to miss doing this yesterday. Was also a bit fidgety, since it’s been awhile since I last meditated. One of these days, I’m going to make that a habit.
Second, today’s DD. 3′ high knees with EC. I counted 406 reps by the time was up. Happy I managed to stay above 2/sec. Definitely got harder to lift the knees as high by the last half or so.
(After grabbing some iced coffee and updating some logs...)
Last, Day 25 of the FhP. Level 3, no rest. After the first 3, I was wondering about taking more time to rest. Arms started feeling a bit noodle-y, but I just kept the train rolling. A very fun workout - loved all the combos and the moments I could smoothly execute them and the transitions. (Still opting for 50/50 approach rather than bounce-switching.)
Most of my day was spent on the usual and doing some writing research of a medical nature (zombies are weird and great).
I was back on my BS, staying up well into the red zone again.
-
Dec. 27
I woke up around noon.
After a bit of browsing and more note-taking, I did today’s exercise early.
First, today’s DD. 40 squat + step backs with EC. Got a bit winded and fatigued here, but I could manage well enough.
Last, Day 26 of the FhP. Level 3, 1′ rest. Oi, I feel like I badly strained my neck when I playing so much Pokemon on Christmas. Made stuff like the plank rotations particularly uncomfortable/awkward. Push-up form was a bit sloppy too - but yeah, neck wasn’t really having it. :/
Spent some time chatting and watching some movies with a friend. We watched the movie version of “Into the Woods“ (now I have a bit more context for SaSi referencing it) and “Life of Brian“.
I went to bed a bit later than yesterday.
-
Dec. 28
I woke up barely before 1PM.
After a bit of the usual, I did my exercise.
First, today’s DD. 50 prone reverse flies with EC. This felt pretty nice to help limber up my neck some more. Mostly a mild annoyance to get into a position on floor with enough clearance.
Last, Day 27 of the FhP. Level 3, no rest. This was altogether very doable without rest. I still love sit-up punches a lot. I rather enjoy how my abs have been performing for this exercise/load! =w=
Spent pretty much the rest of my night on the usual stuff.
I went to bed obscenely late again. I had a pretty bad episode fussing with my nails again...
-
Dec. 29
I woke up after noon, I think
First, today’s DD. 40 bridge taps with EC. Still a fun exercise, all told.
Last, Day 28 of the FhP. Level 3, no rest. Decided to watch LNTAO again as background noise (Roman shouting “AN ARM!” will always make me laugh). Fun sequence to get through, too.
I then set out to making today’s Hello Fresh Meal. Chicken over garlic Parmesan spaghetti. This was pretty good, but still hard for Dad to deal with.
After some of the usual and some dishes, I got back to writing some more for the iZ!AU.
Went to bed event later than yesterday.
-
Dec. 30
I woke up after 1PM.
Watched some YouTube before doing today’s exercise.
First, today’s DD. 1′ toe tap hops with EC. I counted 118 reps by the end of it - very close to 2/sec. That pace was pretty intense though, did start to feel a bit of fatigue near the end.
Last, Day 29 of the FhP. Level 3, 1′ rest. I admit my push-ups got pretty sloppy as I went along. But It was still fairly intense.
Spent much of the night chatting and doing a bit more writing on that iZ!Prinxiety date intermission (mostly finishing the rough draft).
I went to bed a few hours earlier than yesterday, still in the red zone.
-
Dec. 31
I woke up after 11AM.
After a bit of the usual, I did today’s exercise.
First, today’s DD. 5′ punches with EC. I swapped stances at 2′30″ and counted a total of 632 punches thrown by the end of it. Happy I stayed over 2/sec pace. A fun way to end this shit year too. :P
Last, Day 30 of the Fireheart Program. Level 3, 1′ rest. That was a lot of sit-ups and definitely took some digging in. But a good test for the final day of the program! I enjoyed it!
I did some dishes and made tonight’s Hello Fresh Meal. Cheesy quinoa-stuffed peppers. Everyone enjoyed this one.
Then got back to updating some logs. And chatting about things.
I spent some time topping up fandom blog queue and then stayed up till like 11AM or so writing up a masterpost for my fandom blog to pin. Was that a great idea? Probably not, but I did it anyways.
-
Jan. 1
I woke up proper around 3PM.
First, today’s DD. 2′ jumping Ts with EC. I had one false start, realizing I set my timer wrong (for 1′). I wondered why that was a bit too easy. Second go was set properly and I counted 152 reps by the end of it. It was pretty enjoyable.
Last, I decided to chase the bliss from that with a few rounds of half jacks. Tucked out my calves there, but I had fun.
Spent much of my day chatting and thinking more about the physiology of zombies in that iZ!AU. :,D
I got to bed far earlier than yesterday, because tired. But still in my red zone.
-
Summary of Experience:
I finished the Fireheart Program on Dec. 31. I rather enjoyed this program, but then again I’ve always enjoyed combat exercises. I noted that pretty much the entire way through - I didn’t go for the Combat HIIT approach (alternately bounce-switching sides.) Did try to clean up my push-up form for most of it and I’m rather happy about meeting the demands of all those sit-up punches!
I did manage to hit Level 3 for all 30 days, and as for resting times between sets:
No Rest: 7
30″ Rest: 2
1′  Rest: 21

Master’s Thesis Interview: Vilde Lavoll
Hello, dear readers! Today we have an interview with Vilde (Copenhagen-Montpellier), a student who recently obtained her Agris Mundus diploma (yay!). Part One of the interview took place during her fieldwork, and Part Two shares some advice and lessons learned after returning. So, let’s learn more about Vilde’s exciting Master’s Thesis project in Ethiopia!
Part One
Where are you conducting research?
Sasie Tsaeda Emba, Tigray Ethiopia.
Who is your institutional partner in this research?
World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF).
Tumblr media
Who are your local partners in this research?
 World Vision Ethiopia.
How did you find this research project?
I looked at the webpage of World Agroforesry Centre.
What is your research about? What are your research objectives?
My research is about tree seedlings planted to restore degraded land on small scale farms in the drylands of Ethiopia. I analyze the variation in seedling survival and growth of fruit and multipurpose trees across different practices and contexts. I look at different irrigation and mulching treatments that were collectively decided by the farmers before planting the trees and at agro-ecological and socio-economic factors that might affect the survival and growth of the seedlings. I also try to understand the motivation for the farmers to plant trees and if this affects the survival and growth of the trees.
Tumblr media
How is your field work going so far?
It’s going great! I love doing field work, it is like being on a hiking trip where you have breaks where you talk with people about the most interesting thing in the world (If you chose the right thesis topic). The farmers are so friendly and feed us with coffee and food they have grown and prepared on their farm.  Technically I could have done something different from the start, so I will have to go back to some of the first farms I visited.
Any challenges or surprises? Both good or bad!
A student stole a copy of an exam in the end of May and the governments reacted with turning off the internet in the whole country for 2 weeks to avoid cheating. This was in the start of my data collection and I had many issues that I could not discuss with my supervisors because of this. So for example in all this period I climbed around the whole farm counting every little tree seedling. (Acacia seedlings grows as weeds on these farms even on vertical surfaces). Later I found out that according to the ICRAF definition of a tree I should only count trees over 3 meters… Another challenge and a surprise both positive and negative is the hotel where I live. Nobody speaks English, except the daughter of the owner.  Since I live in a seriously drought prone area the water is very limited. All the water used in the hotel is carried there on the back of one donkey and even under these conditions they manage to run a hotel and a popular restaurant.
Tumblr media
What advice would you share with future M2 students?
First of all, go for your dream topic and your dream organization. It gives so much free energy to your work if you work with something you like.
Don’t be scared by all the SupAgro rules and guidelines for a “stage,” even though they seem a bit strict they will probably let you do what you want in the end.
If you go to Africa, be prepared for African time. If you get frustrated every time your work is delayed you will not have one happy moment during your fieldwork. Just lean back and try to take it as a well-deserved break. Take photos! It makes it so much easier to remember the farms you have been to.
Bring a sharp knife (to peel fruits and cut veggies). If you are going to a dry area, bring travel sheets (if you don’t want to share blanket with the thousands of people who slept there before), the hotels don’t have enough water to wash bed sheets.
Stay tuned for Part Two of our interview, coming soon.

After mulling it over with a couple people and taking into consideration how ass-backward the Content ID system really is (no arbitration, pretty much completely at discretion of claimant whether or not your dispute is approved, which makes it more in their interest to not approve unless it’s a completely unambiguous false flag.).
I think the best option maybe to not actually bother filing the dispute. The system itself is pretty much against me on this one.
But you know what this, recent queued post on MBTI,  plus watching Sanders Sides videos during my workout today led me to thinking?
(I’m just going to copy/paraphrase what I was telling a friend on this.)
i... couldn't help but frame this whole content id dilemma in a similar way via idk cog fxns or someshit i just... this series man
fi was just not having any of this (because art/music theft is WRONG; idealogically - ‘rock meets hard place’)
te was all like, 'better part of valor' (the IPs involved in the claim aren’t mine; rationally - ‘is the hill you want to die on?’)
ni kept swingin back and forth between connecting those dots and then stepping back to see wtf te was getting at
se was just like this bites why are we losing sleep over this
