Thanks to the community's efforts, this year’s prompt pick was a collaborative effort between the lovely people on the sasosaku central discord server. Just like the last two years, we decided to let everyone pick between two or combine them as a challenge. Again, thank you to everyone for your submissions and votes!

SasoSaku Month Day 7:  A Second Chance  (part 1)

I apologize if this comic looks crappy I’m will attempt to improve 😓 This is based off of a SasoSaku fanfic I read a long time ago. The best SasoSaku fanfic I read so far! It’s called “Zero Hour” I highly recommend reading it! This scene is from the 3rd chapter of that fanfic. Before Sasori’s “death” he told Sakura and Chiyo that he was going to meet with his spy (Kabuto) at a bridge. Then after he “died”, Sakura later on used that information to spy on Kabuto and get information out of him via genjutsu. Sakura used a genjutsu that Kurenai taught her to make it look as if Sasori is there during the secret meeting. Fortunately for her, Kabuto didn’t notice that he’s in her genjutsu.

Note: If you take a look at Sakura’s stats, she has a high affinity to genjutsu which makes a lot of sense that she can pull this off. Plus, Sakura is canonically immune to genjutsu.

However, she didn’t expect Orochimaru to be there as well, and was eventually  discovered. It was difficult for her to escape this situation and she thought that she is going to die until one of Sasori’s puppets decapitated Orochimaru’s head, but it didn’t kill him though. Then Sakura saw him...Sasori... alive again... but why? There’s part 2 to this crappy-lookin comic I made and I will explain how Sasori is still alive in this story from there OR you can just read the fanfic to know xD So yeah “A second chance” in this refers to Sasori suddenly being alive again and interacting with Sakura once more.
