Best song on the album: Hair Match is a masterpiece

Favorite song on the album: Unmasked! . I can't hear "cast of thousands, but we were the real two" without getting weepy.

Least favorite song on the album: I wish I liked Fire Editorial more

Most overrated song on the album: Heel Turn 2 I guess? I feel like this question, at least with tMG, is just "what is the most popular song on the album" because all of tMG's bangers are appropriately rated (No Children being the exception)

Most underrated song on the album: U n m a s k e d ! or Luna

Banger of all bangers: CHOKED OUT OR WEREWOLF GIMMICK!! songs to howl and mosh to live.

Rate from 1-10: SOLID 9.

I have to preface this by saying that the ILWD album cycle was the first release I was a fan during (I was listening when Goths dropped but I wasn't a fan) so I am heavily biased about some songs!

Best song on the album: Done Bleeding

Favorite song on the album: Waylon Jennings Live! (it seems I have a penchant for songs with an exclamation point in the title)

Least favorite song on the album: Possum by Night. Don't worry I am in the process of nailing myself to the cross, y'all don't have to.

Most overrated song on the album: ILWD is the punching bag of tMG albums so I really don't think any song is truly overrated. Maybe Possum by Night again

Most underrated song on the album: Clemency for the Wizard King -_-

Banger of all bangers: nobody can deny the sheer power of the Matty Bones sax solo on Younger.

this is tough because i don't know that i've ever seen anything that used a goats song?? i did used to like john green back in the day and i'm pretty sure he mentioned them a bunch. can we count poker face?? not 100% on whether JD wrote any of the music in that episode but it was great!

thank you so much for the ask! i love we shall all be healed so much, heavily portland albums are very dear to me. hidden puzzle key to a lot of my understandings of other goats albums.

the best song on the album: that really depends on what metric i'm deciding by? cotton in terms of meaningful & beloved goats canon that's impacted a lot of people's lives. on the other hand, i REALLY love what's happening musically in slow west vultures. i think it's like, the most important in terms of musical direction the band was going in on the album? i imagine the subject of tallahassee made the switch to hi-fi an easier pill to swallow for people really set in the enjoyment of the lo-fi era, and slow west vultures being the first song off the next & probably highly scrutinized album was an incredible choice.

my favorite song on the album: the young thousands! it was another one of my very early goats songs and it rewired my brain & has embedded itself wholly into how i write my original story. one of my top played goats on spotify for sure.

my least favorite song on the album: all up the seething coast is a song i don't connect to at all, it's a song i frequently skip because it means nothing to me? but i have spent time actively disliking against pollution. the unreliable narrator made me extremely uncomfortable in a way that wasn't helpful to sit with in my early 20s and the only thing that eased that was hearing the combined with whole wide world version live with art in detroit.

the most overrated song on the album: i don't think there are any, this album absolutely rules.

most underrated: again, i don't disagree w how loved this album is. i'm gonna shout out attention all pickpockets here even though it's a single, not album proper. i think everyone who knows it loves it but not having made it to streaming keeps it off a lot of people's radars which is heartbreaking.

the banger of all bangers: really hard ask for this album, i think wsabh has the most dense collection of bangers of any goats album (<- gut feeling, not data supported). i genuinely think it's a letter from belgium and home again garden grove tie.

rate from 0-10: nine. it's a truly & deeply solid goats album and it's also one i personally enjoy but not to the highest possible tier of personal enjoyment.

I've had this extremely vivid image in my mind for so long - home again garden grove feels like a drive along the ocean on a clear sunny day. so this may or may not be terribly inspired by the actual song, rather than just what the song feels like to me, but I still really like it!
