"IT HAD TO HAPPEN! BRUCE BANNER MUST GIVE A GIRL A BLOOD TRANSFUSION...!"
PIC INFO: Spotlight on a Marvel house ad promoting the then upcoming monthly title, "The Savage She-Hulk" Vol. 1 #1 (1979). Artwork by John Buscema.
MINI-OVERVIEW: "It surprised me at the time that this ad for the upcoming first issue of Savage She-Hulk (“Watch for it!”) totally left out any mention of its creators, Stan Lee and John Buscema. It only made sense when the second issue hit the stands and Stan the Man and Big John were nowhere to be seen in the credits; She-Hulk was a case of create and run. Why get readers’ hopes up when it would be left to others to carry on Jennifer Walters’ story?"

October 1980. The unintentionally (?) hilarious Michael Golden cover is the only real virtue of this issue (Golden doesn't draw the interior art), but it is very funny.
