“Een nest jonge katjes die alleen, die zal ik maar naar het dierenasiel brengen.”, doe dit alstublieft niet direct. Er worden vaak te snel katten naar het asiel gebracht.

Het kan zijn dat de moeder geschrokken of druk in de weer is. Vaak kan je ook al afleiden uit her gedrag van de kittens of alles oké is of niet. Je kan dit checken op verschillende manieren: voel eens met je vinger aan hun rug zodat je hun temperatuur kunt aanvoelen, kijk of ze zich omwentelen om warmte te zoeken,..., maar pas op. Til de katjes nooit op als je hun temperatuur wil meten ze zouden wel eens onderkoeld kunnen raken door uit hun positie gehaald te worden. 

Deze tips vind ik ontzettend belangrijk en nuttig. Het kan je maar eens gebeuren dat je dat ziet, wat moet je dan doen? Nu weet je het dus. Zulke dingen word te weinig meegedeeld aan de mensen. Zo handelen ze vaak met goede bedoelingen, maar door hun onwetendheid wel fout. Het zou spijtig zijn moesten die dieren sterven enkel door gebrek aan info doorgeven.

It’s a great day when you find out that your kittens haven’t been taken to the pagoda to be given away to be slaughtered ❤️

Last month, mama cat bit someone because they were messin with her kittens. My aunt told me they are taking the kittens, the mom, and the dog to the pagoda because they’re affraid they might bite the baby. She also said the cat bit someone because I play with the cat too much. (I’m pretty certain that’s not how it works 😒) But I found them in the house today and my cousin said they’re waiting until they stop drinking their mom’s milk to give them away. #savethekittens

🐈OLLIE UPDATE🐈 Oliver was adopted last week and is adjusting to his forever home!@tonytrashed 's co-worker was looking for another kitty to join his fur family and thought Ollie would be the perfect fit 🐱 He now has a big brother named Butterscotch to play with/terrorize. Swipe through the pictures to see! As much as I would have loved to have kept him (and any stray that I meet) it's just not in the cards for me and my two girls Scarlett and Dinah. When it comes to fostering, the goal is to find their forever home, not to keep them. The more I foster, the more strays I can save😀 Oliver did get his happily ever after and that's all that matters.
