the family had a cozy, calm weekend. reading books, playing games, painting. she hadn't been gone for long, but it was nice to have maisie around again.

confession: out of habit, i always have my sims do large classical paintings bc i don't have to think about navigating the menu, it's automatic, and i'm irl not a huge fan of pop art yada yada, so i have never seen this painting before. but look how cute it is!! i love the freezer bunny so much, i wish the plushie wasn't ridiculously expensive to ship to europe :(

betty made this masterpiece and i put it in penelope's room, above her keyboard.

ok are you ready for the best cat so far in this legacy? which is saying a lot bc we've had a million cats.

it's emery's birthday! betty made him a beautiful cake and invited family and friends to celebrate this big birthday.

maisie invited everyone over to tartosa for family reunion. it's a cute holiday. they cooked food, laughed and played cards all day and night until it was time to head back home to willow creek.

emery became team captain of the copperdale high programming team, got a trophy and a fancy golden laptop!

aaand they also finished their musical genius aspiration! i'm so excited for them to grow up so i can started the eco lifestyle playthrough.

the gameplay was getting a bit tedius, just having betty and emery go to work, school, walk the dog and refill the pet bowls, sleep and repeat. emery still had three weeks until his birthday soooo..

betty decided their little family was still missing something. and so, penelope ava irvin joined the legacy <3

julie helped me out creating her backstory; she wants to be a piano player when she grows up, she's terrified of bees and therefore hates the color yellow, her favorite color is blue and her favorite number is 7. the first thing she did after the adoption was to say hi to goopy and then sat down to practice chess.

i think she'll fit right in.

ok big news: i have officially posted all of my screenshots. i'm all caught up. i never thought this day would come as i've had a steady 700+ screenies waiting to be shared since i started posting in september. also, in less than two weeks it will be the one year anniversary of the sawyer family legacy??? w i l d.

the house has, erhm, potential for those who likes to diy (according to the ad). it wasn't much and it had cost maisie almost all of her money, but she was determined to make it her own. maisie had loved tartosa ever since the first time she went here on vacation with her mom and sibling, and now she owns a house on a little island.

although her jewelry were becoming quite popular on plopsy, maise knew she needed more money to fix the house up, so she got a job as a gardener. with a steady income, maisie started repairing and decorating the house.

i had so much fun with this build!!!!!

back home in willow creek. the garden caught on fire (this family is cursed when it comes to fires), maisie played around with her mother's makeup and betty reached the top of the tech guru career!

oh, and betty started upgrading the appliances around the house bc i was recently reminded of that being a thing so i figured i'd take advantage of it lol

okay, back to willow creek for a bit. since bentley passed away and the sib rules requires betty to always own two cats (which is why we've had a million in this legacy) i had betty check the pet adoption ads and look!!! bentley's goofy ears lives on in our new kitten.

everyone, meet beryl. aka goofy bc she is a cute lil goofball, aka goopy bc reference to goopy carbonara in ts3. i love her already.

but honestly, they were all good goofy options but goopy just spoke to me <3

it was also maisie's birthday! she's an adult now!! that's wild. i'm so excited to play through her side quest (bc tbh i miss rags to riches and i want to explore the crystal creations pack more, but we'll get to that later)

on maisie's last day in willow springs, they invited the whole family out to the park. the day was filled with (more) family photos, ice skating, drinking hot chocolate and playing in the snow
