Bridge Bidding - Standard American Yellow Card

This book present some of the most important bridge bidding systems used in duplicate bridge tournaments, detailing the most known bridge bidding system, Standard American Yellow Card, by using a logical sequential order for openings, answers, competitive bids and defensive play in order to help the players during the games. Much of the complexity in bridge arises from the difficulty of arriving at a good final contract in the auction. A bidding system in contract bridge is the set of agreements and understandings assigned to calls and sequences of calls used by a partnership, and includes a full description of the meaning of each treatment and convention. Standard American Yellow Card is a specific set of partnership agreements and conventions, using Standard American as a base. Standard American Yellow Card is a very specific collection of agreements, which can, of course, be modified and augmented by partnership agreement. Philip Sayce - The Wolves Are Coming

Next week, rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter Philip Sayce releases his highly anticipated studio album "The Wolves Are Coming."

It follows the album "Spirit Rising" which has over 14 million streams to date. This new album is a career highlight, exemplifying Philip Sayce’s commitment to his craft and using the power of music as a uniting force to welcome in the light during incredibly turbulent times. It's more powerful, unique, and bold than anything he has written or recorded. Philip says, "These songs and stories came into focus during my darkest times."

Songs like “Oh! That Bitches Brew” and “Backstabber” hit like hurricanes, while “Lady Love Divine” explores the light in contrast to darkness. Ballads like “It’s Over Now” and the magical instrumental “Intuition” round out Philip’s signature fuzz tones and sledgehammer mountain-sized drum grooves with delicate, intimate, and dynamic performances.

The recording of The Wolves Are Coming proved to be an unforgettable experience for Philip. He says, “When I first started writing and recording these songs, society was upside down from the pandemic. The studio became a real spirit-lifter for me during the sessions, a very fun and free atmosphere, as opposed to the outside world. I recorded with Grammy winning engineer Mark Rains at Station House Studio in Los Angeles during several different sessions over the course of a year or so.”

On this album, Philip consciously set out to achieve something new and different. He says, "I’m always striving to do something better today than what I’ve done before. I’m a student of music and life, and my intention for this album was to be more deeply connected to spirit, inspiration, and creativity, and to record and make this music to push myself as an artist."
