When cardinals court, the male feeds the female seeds (it looks like they're kissing!)

But they also have this routine where the male chases the female. Continually. For hours.

Poor Scar wakes up and finds the avian glued to his side. Grian won't leave him alone and nimbly chases him through the habit all morning. The Vex hybrid collapses exhausted. This is the end, he thinks, that thing is finally gonna eat me...

The near-harpy creature approaches, dark eyes trained on his form and...

Drops a serving of rations in front of him.

Scar blinks confused as the avian purrs and lays down next to him. Talons that could sever limbs gently lift a piece of food towards his mouth. Slowly, Scar reaches for the morsel, never taking his eyes off Grian. Is it a trick? Is he toying with him? Is he fattening him up before he tears him apart like the last potential mates?

But when he takes a bite Grian only purrs louder. The feathers adorning his neck fluff up and a jewel red wing fans over Scar's form. The purrs become a strange, almost human hum as Grian lazily looks up and scans the environment for danger.

There's something... almost comforting, Scar realizes, as he's sheltered beneath the hybrid's wings. He can't remember the last time he felt an inkling of security in this hellscape. Though like all the other experiments, this is probably just a cruel trick that will end when the avian tires of him.

But for now he's content nestled under crimson wings, listening to the haunting song of a fellow trapped creature. And for just a moment, Scar relaxes and pretends like the safety he's feeling is could be real.

This is... what it says on the tin. It is a long post. I do not expect it to get any traction. I am doing this for autism reasons. Some ideas are actually excluded because there is zero substance to them. Sorry I don't think anyone wants to hear my 1000 'what if Grian... was sad' ideas.

Many of these (most of them) were made in collaboration with @angeart which explains why they are so sad and also Mostly Scarian. It doesn't always say it's shipping but it usually is. We are Grian Girlies. Sorry.

Vex Hunger Kidnapping Griangst AU

Grian (avian) and Cub (vex) are kidnapped by scientists on their way back from MCC. They are kept in a cell where Cub is starved until he goes feral and starts attacking Grian out of Vex instincts.

Also eats Grian a lot. Don't worry, Grian can respawn, but he respawns back in the cell in a puddle of his own blood, only to be torn to pieces again.

They are rescued by the hermits. Now traumatised! Yippee!

Things get worse before they get better

Evil Scar Corruption AU

CW: mind control, kidnapping, torture, amputation, manipulation / mindbreak

Scar gets corrupted by the Vex which take over his mind. His love for Grian is mutated into selfish obsession, and eventually he kidnaps and tortures him in an attempt to make him stay forever.

Cuts off his wings and everything. (they grow back)

Eventually the hermits find out and lock Scar up while trying to heal Grian - but Grian broke somewhere along the way and now thinks what Scar was doing was true love.

Scar comes back to his senses and the guilt hits him like a truck. Eventually he leaves the server and runs into his own Bad Relationship but don't worry about this.

The Facility AU

Xisuma runs a top secret facility dedicated to the safety and containment of supernatural/otherworldly beings and entities.

Grian nearly dies because of a swimming pool btw. There is so much to this fic I cannot possibly explain here.

Later, this lab-grown creature becomes Grian, learns how to speak and walk, and finds out about the impending heat death of the planet

Meanwhile, we have unethical treatment of prisoners, moon science, dogman and the existential existence of clones

Grian does this, like the sad little bastard he is

Queue Martyn escaping the Watchers anyway and now everything is awful and no one likes anything that has happened

Space Age AU

Humans have colonised a large chunk of the galaxy

Grian comes from a group of humans who were against the human empire - said group was attacked, slaughtered, and disbanded

Scar used to be a part of the empire’s militia (though he is an alien, not human) but is no longer part of it

Mumbo does not know whether he is an android or not - androids are a slave class / killed on sight since their war with humans, and humans need to carry ID to prove they are human. Mumbo has an ID, but the tests for humans vs. androids are basically meaningless and inaccurate

Pearl was part of the same group as Grian, was captured and sold into servitude

Scar stows away on Grian’s spaceship (stolen) - Grian freaks out but they become somewhat friends

Scar and Grian go to a planet notorious for hating humans, because Scar wants a job there and Grian wants to get rid of him - Grian gets caught and thrown in prison 

Scar meets Mumbo, a member of the planet’s court, and they work together to break Grian out and the three of them escape 

They journey through space, meeting up with folks like Tango - eventually the gang find a ship run by Watchers (a powerful alien race) and they discover Pearl on board

Note I am autistic about this one.

Grian is a weird little guy who has to form a chrysalis and turn into goo before reforming

He needs to do this every few years to keep himself alive, as he is a unique cross between Watcher and player - except no one on Hermitcraft knows this about him, and Grian may have gotten distracted building for so long he forgot to take a vacation away from the server in time to go Bug Mode

So all they know is Grian is missing, and Xisuma is getting corrupted life signals from inside a mysterious chrysalis that has appeared - so they cut open the chrysalis while Grian is still reforming in there

He's goopy (body horror intent)

The Crafting Dead (vine boom sound)

CW: medical torture, zombie apocalypse, captivity

Hermitcraft gets attacked (Watchers?) and lots of hermits are sent off to their own personal hells, with no memories of Hermitcraft

Xisuma has to go find them and bring them home and help them heal and re-introduce them to Hermitcraft and hopefully get their memories back

Scar is our main focus here - he’s stuck in the zombie apocalypse world of The Crafting Dead, where he spent his childhood and teen years before being rescued by Xisuma - now in his 30s, he thinks he’s been stuck there his whole life 

Grian is having a bad time being fledged into a proper Watcher, forced to Watch, since he never escaped

Mumbo's in a cult and might be evil (it's fine. He's fine.) (Lie)

Pearl is roaming the forests with a ghostly wolf, her enemies blood long gone but still fresh on her hands as resources dwindle in a tiny world (Double Life)

Tango is chained like a beast in an underground fighting ring, labelled with a nickname that isn't his and placed in a betting pool with odds stacked highly in his favour (he always wins) (he has to win) (there is no respawn here)

Impulse has been freshly captured and put in the same lineup, odds stacked quite tremendously against him (they don't know what he is) (he could end them all with a snap of his fingers) (don't corner a demon)

Doc is huddled in the corner of a lab he never left, scientist-turned-experiment, taken apart and put back together again different, wrong, as more additions pile onto his growing list of hybridities (they've given him wings, and taken his eye)

Disaster Rescue Team AU

CW: survival cannibalism, systemic discrimination, torture, medical abuse

Scar, Pearl, Skizz, Impulse, Bdubs, Tango, Etho, Cub, and Mumbo are a disaster rescue team who specialise in helping hybrids

Grian is an avian living on a remote island that is destroyed by a storm, and he is trapped there for years until he's the only survivor left, the mainland government ignoring the situation

He's forced to resort to cannibalism to survive, then he's rescued

Scar is the therapist of the group who spends time working with Grian to rehabilitate him

Sadly most of his clients end up in bad situations, going missing, or in prison because the mainland is incredibly discriminatory

There is a government conspiracy happening where hybrids are being taken away after leaving the rescue facility and used for medical or scientific experimentation

Bad things happen to the gang.

The ones who walk away from Omelas AU

CW: torture and abuse, like, a lot of it

Based on the story 'The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas' but with my own changes, for fun. This is actually one of my faves.

In the city of Omelas, life is perfect - there is no crime, no homelessness, no suffering. It is a Utopia

This Utopia comes at a cost, a single citizen, chosen randomly, must bear the suffering of all others, kept alone, starved and entirely isolated, underground, their whole life

The children of Omelas are shown this suffering early, to get them used to the idea. When they are horrified, they are told about the greater good of this sacrifice.

When Scar is a child, he sees the suffering scapegoat, at the time around his own age, and vows to rescue him one day

Twenty years later, he makes good on that promise

City Blues AU

Architect Grian gets fired from his job, and has to move to the bad part of the city for the first time ever. There he is very quickly noted and attacked, but a cunning drug dealer saves him.

He's given a place to stay by the salesman, Scar, but he owes the man. He has to work as an errand boy for a while to earn his freedom.

I mean, how hard could it be?

Convexian Serial Killers AU

CW: murder, no seriously our protagonists are killers and they get away with it, no moralising here they are just evil little freaks for fun, also cannibalism

Scar and Cub are serial killers who kill while their housemate, Grian, is out working for days on end

Grian happens to come home early one time and finds them mid-kill

After a series of breakdowns and a lot of throwing up, Grian gets kind of into it tbh

He watches the kills (and enjoys taunting the victims) and acts as friendly, harmless bait for other victims

Scar and Cub also introduce him to cannibalism, and he gets a little bit obsessed with trying to hunt down other avians to kill

Scar and Cub are human, while Grian is an avian, and though Scar expresses his love with violent fantasies, they would never hurt Grian

Grian's friends: Mumbo, Jimmy and Pearl, may have a little to say about this when they find out ^-^

Okay look this is Slightly NSFW for Fandom friend and SCP Scarian, but…

Could Grian technically impreg Scar with Eggs? Like could it work both ways? The researchers think that Grian needs to be fucked for this to work. But what if it’s the opposite? The reason the others didn’t work was because they tried to mount the bird. When I’m reality Grian is the dominant of his species.

The bird human species is both Male and Female. They don’t really have human concepts of Gender. Grian is called ‘male’ but doesn’t have gender concepts so goes with it. Sure Grian can lay eggs, and the gestation period is much smaller for him. (Roughly 3 months) Which was an evolutionary thing about his species to help in times of low egg season. Larger clutches but weaker hatchlings.

But the ideal mate is one that they can implant their eggs into for a much longer gestation period (of which the mate is pregnant for over 9 to 12 months). It’s taxing on the body but produces much healthier young, but smaller clutches.

The researchers go for the first option because more eggs means more research and faster time. Grian is displeased as he dislikes the idea of going through short term pregnancy again and again. And given he’s a more dom presenting of his species, potential mates must over power him… which from what Scar sees did not work… at all.

He’s opting to not end up dead… and maybe eaten as he heard the scientist say with all the mates Grian has torn through he must have enough nutrients to give birth… yeah… bodies often ended up pulled out mangled. Cannibal bird man… wonderful idea (is it cannibalism is your not human?)

But Scar is unknowingly showing he’s a good potential mate. He does as he told, get the social sounds Grian does (hissing meaning he’s displeased and coos means he’s happy), and even proves attentive and alert. Ideal mate material.

(I hope you don't mind me just sending you these ideas I have. I haven't found things I like as much as I do Convex, Convexian, and Scarian. lol) -

The room was mostly jungle-like, rather decently sized, and made to a rather humid temperature. Scar already didn't like it here, the uneasy settled as he had been forced at gun point to enter into the containment unit of SCP 1993, the Watcher as some called him. Other names were Pesky Bird, but the name was muttered by other D-class inmates.

Scar rubbed his arm as he stood at the door and took a breath walking inside. He could see the remains of the campsite, and he tried to ignore the blood still around the area. He could feel eyes on him, he knew the creature was watching him.

D-class mates didn't last long, they were expendable and easily replaced. Meant to do the job the scientists knew for a fact would get them killed. To test and mess with the objects and creatures that extended far beyond what they could understand. Scar was innocent, he swore up and down he was, but the justice system was neither far nor legal as he found out.

Apparently, just being branded as a murderer made you beyond help. This felt like a violation of so many rights. But being in this dreary place reminded Scar that rights were hard-earned and so easily taken away. He was a number and a body, he didn't have a name, names meant attachments... researchers couldn't be attached.

Sure, survival meant he'd be pardoned with an impressive set of cash. But.. no one ever lived that long. And frankly, Scar was counting his lucky stars right now.

He is going to die.

Oh, he knew that much, anyone assigned to Watcher's room never lived beyond 2 days at most. But he was glad to know it would be swift, not as swiss cheese due to bullet holes, torn apart by a creature that didn't like being stared at, or being grabbed by a plague doctor and turned into a monster.

His only 'job' was to go in and try to... 'play' with the Wacher. Scar wanted to smack that man when he said that outside. They wanted him to basically rape the being! They wanted him to mount onto the Watcher, impregnate the creature in heat, and that was it. Apparently, they were desperate too, all other... less than savory inmates had been killed by the creature. So they opted for him, stating he was 'good looking enough' thinking the creature had a type.

Scar swallowed hard, it was disgusting is what it was. He was a man of more dignity than that, but when you're threatened at gunpoint... it's not like he had a choice. The eyes were watching him still, and he just wanted the suspense to be over with. He sat down at the log and silently could only await his fate like the other D-class that came here.

After a long moment, the sound of something rustled. Scar looked up quickly looking around the area. Cameras was watching them, the containment unit had been turned into a 'jungle' to try and get the creature comforts to want to breed. It hadn't worked, though it was pleased with privacy, it also didn't seem interested in anyone.

Scar looked around again, then felt his breath hitched as he saw... it.

It was rather small in stature, possibly only 5 foot, but had large, rather beautiful red, blue, and golden wings. It... looked human-ish. Having two arms, and a head that was framed by dirty brown locks of curly hair. But there were parts that weren't human, big, round black eyes, the 'legs' were bird legs that were torn at the knees, showing clawed bird feet.

The face also held red and golden feathers around the cheeks and leading up to the 'ears', which also winged themselves! It was the teeth and hands that made Scar more uneasy. The teeth were sharp, a row of canines made for tearing and cutting no doubt. He heard them say it had the jaw strength to break a human's bone.

The hands were also ended in talons, that were still caked in blood.

For the most part, the creature was clothed, having on a red sweater that looked comfortable despite the humidity. And the jeans were torn at the knees but still held on their hips. The clothing was bulk, so it was hard to tell about the shape of the creature.

*Click. Click. Click*

The creature's mouth moved, making this clicking sound, Scar watching as the throat moved to make the bird-like sound. Eyeing Scar, even if Scar couldn't tell if the black eyes were moving or not. He swallowed hard and started to tremble a bit.

Just because he knew he was going to die... didn't mean he still wasn't scared.

"You know your orders, D-class." a woman over the speaker said, "When you think you can, please move forward to SCP 1993, and begin to try and mount him."

The SCP's head snapped from the ceiling over to Scar, and eyes narrowing, Scar shifted back at that, and a small hiss was heard, baring sharp teeth. Wings fanned out, flaring, making the creature seem bigger. And Scar got the message loud and clear.

'Try it, if you dare.'

Scar pressed his knees closer to him to put more distance between him and the birdman.

This was always the fate of a D-Class... claws, teeth, and blood. And Scar was now only waiting for the inevitable.

It'd also be hilarious is they selected Scar because he was part Vex, and could phase away from danger if Grian attacked him.

But thanks to his "I'm gonna leave you alone so I don't get killed" approach, Grian takes interest in him and decides to court Scar. And every time he gets close enough to display his wings or sing or rub pheromones, Scar books it the other way. He's too paranoid to realize Grian wants his attention.

The scientists are forced to watch the world's most pathetic mating attempt as the two continue to not understand each other for days.

OOH the containment breeding HELL YEAH.

I think theyd be the kind of pair where scar is the more submissive one, and grian more dominant (like hyenas or black widow spiders), neither of them want to be part of this and scar is just hoping grian will get it over with and kill him, but their behavior just intrigues each other more and more… 👀

scar not coming in and trying to take control immediately, staying in his part of the chamber and not trying to just breed grian like he’s supposed to, it piques grian’s interest in him, wanting to know why he hasn’t tried to come and breed him already like all the other subjects before him

scar being wary but still confused why grian hasn’t just killed him already. He’s had plenty of chances to kill him while he slept, yet still nothing.

meanwhile the researchers are getting more and more frustrated why neither of them have made any move toward each other. They want to study the hybrids eggs so badly, and this is the closest they’ve gotten to getting his eggs fertilized (since scar has survived the longest out of any potential mate they’ve put in his enclosure, hasn’t been killed immediately but they haven’t gotten close either).

But maybe eventually the researchers force induce aphrodisiacs to them and a relaxing agent to grian so scar doesn’t get immediately killed as soon as he tries to mount grian. What they don’t expect is for scar to be so aggressively protective of grian when they try to separate them or take grians fertilized embryos. It ends with 3 dead researchers and a scarian on the loose 😊 (scp containment breach anyone cough cough)

I dunno about you all, but SCP AU Scar would definitely be quaking in the corner. Imagine he’s been locked up his whole life (unlike wild-born Grian), used to experimentation and harsh touch and words. His upbeat personality diminished by the mindset that he’s disposable and having been taught his whole life that his emotions don’t matter. Finally, he’s being paired with Grian, who’s already made his name known throughout the facility with the body count that’s a mile wide. The scientists try to find compatible subjects to breed with him, and settle on Scar when they start to run low on options. Scar wants nothing to do with this, but again, he’s given no say in the matter. So when he’s forced in the enclosure, he keeps a respectful distance from Grian because he doesn’t want to contribute to any pain (lord knows he wouldn’t want that upon anyone else). And he simply sits around all day in the corner waiting for death.

Grian notices that he’s different from the other previous contenders, uninterested in trying to mount him—much more respectful, but also jumpy. He makes it a game at first, teasing him and getting close just to see how he’d react. Try to see if he’s hiding his true intentions under this facade. However, when he sees that Scar still shakes and fears for his life whenever Grian gets close, he tones it down. He observes him for a while, studying his mannerisms. He acts completely different when he’s left alone and shows no ill intentions. He decides to formally introduce himself and try to form a friendship with Scar. It takes a while to get Scar to come out of his shell once he realizes that Grian isn’t going to kill him. He slowly reveals himself to be the gentle, caring, upbeat Scar we all know, and learns that Grian isn’t the scary monster his reputation precedes him to be. They grow comfortable with each other, and who’s to say that Grian ISN’T smitten? Homeboy’s got it BAD.

The scientists, on the other hand, grow impatient with the lack of progress, and decide to try a different approach. They know that it would take too much work to set Grian up with another companion (if he wouldn’t kill the next one anyways) so they find a way to force the two together. But just as they walk into the enclosure and threaten Grian, Scar jumps to his defense and attacks the scientists with a viciousness no one could have expected. (I’m not good at writing this stuff on the fly aaa)

//Believe it or not I know very little about SCP. I just went off of what others were saying and thought it would be interesting if Scar was this abused lab experiment who’s considered docile and complacent enough to put up with whatever the Scientists say. I love y’all’s creativity btw <3

Got a little idea of how the aftermath of Grian breeding Scar in the scp thing could go but I added in angst hehe. Kinda Dubious consent because Grian is mentioned to not be in the right state of mind (he got drugged) and Scar thought it best to let Grian do what they wanted while in that state.

He takes a gasping breath as the creature, a bird/human thing named Grian, finally pulls out of him after a way too long 'play' session. A groan escapes from him soon after, feeling something begin to leak out of his very abused hole. Their blankets are going to be so messy from this…

Grian had come to him rather frantic, looking as disheveled as they were acting, and babbling about 'something being wrong' and 'the water has a different taste' before collapsing backwards into the pile of blankets that make up his bed. He got a little concerned when they continued to shake and mumble things under their breath even after collapsing. And because he couldn't just leave them to what he thought as a manic episode, he went up to them. He talked to them in a calm voice, thinking loud noise would set them off ranting again, and tried asking them questions about what they meant. 

Then he made the mistake of touching them when he realized they weren't hearing anything of what he was saying. The way their eyes snapped to him, like they finally realized he was there…It was like they weren't completely there in their own head. Like they had escaped to a corner of their mind and something else took up their seat. Like an animal was looking at him and sizing him up…

And then he apparently took his hand back way too quickly, because Grian pounced on him seconds after, pulling and manhandling him into the pile and underneath them. Lips were on his neck and hands were pulling at his pants maybe minutes after that. And when he helped them out with undoing the button keeping his suit’s butt flap close, his fate was sealed.

"Finally got it out of your system, Gri?" He asks, trying to make light out of the situation where there isn't much to find. "Got yourself back in order?"

He hears only faint chirps and warbles from the bird man, and he doesn't blame them for their lack of words. He is much more worn out from this one as compared to other ones they had. But of course, those ones were more about touching and sometimes oral than this impromptu one they had…

Because this one had a much different purpose than the other ones…

More warbles can be heard as Grian presses themselves into his side and grabs at his shoulders with shaky hands. He gently shushes the smaller birdman, the best he can do to comfort  them at the moment until he gets feeling back into his arms.

“I know baby, I know…I don’t blame you for this. I know you didn’t want to do this so soon, and definitely not in here. I know who is truly responsible for all this.”

He can feel Grian shaking at his side, face pressed against his orange clothes in an attempt to muffle their sounds.

“They played dirty, didn’t they? Doing something to our water to make you do this…It’s not fair, is it? They'll do anything to get what they want, won't they…”

“I don’t want to lose our baby…” Grian says, voice muffled but still sounding like it might break. “I don’t want them to take our hatchlings…”

“I know. I know, Gri…”

“It’s not fair…Why does it have to be my babies? Why do my children have to get taken away from me?”

“I don’t know, sunshine…I just don’t know.”

“I just want to be able to meet them…I want to hold them, to protect them, to have them for more than five minutes…”

“You will, Gri. One day you will.”

One of Grian’s wings stretches out over him, lying on top of his body as Grian tries to press themselves even closer to him. Fate has not been kind to either of them over the years, opting more to spit in their faces than give them happy lives. And with this situation, fate has given them probably the worst challenge of their lives...

But maybe one day soon, fate will have their just deserts. Fate will learn that people will take their lives into their own hands. And fate can learn to deal with it.

I would imagine that in the Scarian scp thing, the scientists taking each and every clutch from Grian and Scar, would start to mess with Grian's instincts and Scar's mind a bit. Like, continuous breeding but never getting to see the results of that breeding would probably wear on them.

I can imagine Grian doing things like, trying to keep Scar in his nest for very long periods of time because he protec pregnant mate but their eggs had already been taken. Trying to give Scar more food to keep his nutrients up, once again 'pregnant mate but eggs already gone' scenario. Trying to expand the nest for the arrival of eggs and hatchlings that will never get to use it and he won't ever see...

And when Grian comes out of his instinct stupors, realizing what he's been doing and remembering that he can't ever really have what he's doing it all for, he lets out low and longing wails. In these moments are when he both needs Scar the most. He needs to hug/be hugged by his mate or else he might hurt himself if left alone to his own devices (banging and scratching at the walls in a feeble attempt to get at the scientists).

With Scar, it probably would be both mental and physical pain, with him being to one the eggs get extracted from. The procedure of removing the eggs may not be invasive, but that doesn't mean it couldn't leave him incredibly sore and achy. And all the times he tries to be extra careful because his mind still thinks he carrying eggs, or when he touches a hand to his own stomach and panics when he feels nothing, would make him more and more bitter each time. If any personnel come to try and talk to him (with Grian knocked out or just not around), he is much colder and snippy with them because of all the mental anguish he and Grian have been/are being put through.

Really, the only thing that would keep them going would be each other and thoughts of getting out one day so they could have the family they've been dreaming about.

*sobbing* I just want them to be happy and have their clutch in peace qoq they are there for one another an just hold each other.. poor things

The aftermath of having the clutches stolen over and over, is just a shit show, Grian is getting more and more angry, Scar is always depressed and sad, that leads to Grian getting upset at Scar.

Scar swung at him, and nearly gouged out his eye, though that didn’t mean he didn’t get his cheek pretty good. Scar simply turned and walked away to other side of the enclosure, and laid down with his back at Grian.

Needless to say, Grian and Scar didn’t talk for a very long time. And when Grian tried to, Scar just pinned his ears and growled and swung at him.

But in all seriousness, yes Scar not coming in and immediately trying to bang Grian like all the other people before him piques Grian's interest. It makes Grian get start to observe Scar more and more closely.

Which freaks Scar out a bit because it kinda feels like Gri is hunting him, messing with him before it is time to finally be rid of him. He even spotted Grian watching him when he woke up after the first night in Grian's room. But he does continue to keep to himself and just tries his best to survive in the containment unit that he shares with the human/bird creature.

Scar has lasted the longest, and that is because of his approach...which was to not approach Grian at all lol. Man just tries to live his life in the space that was made to suit Grian's needs, not thinking about how the supplies (cooking pots and knives) he finds are leftover from the people who came before him, and pretending that he does not have the watchful eye of some folktale creature observing his every move. And it works out for him.

Until he wake up to Grian standing over him one day :)

(The two do eventually have sex, but it doesn't end up with Scar's dick in Grian ;3)

ICB. that didn't happen i refuse. the chicks are okay the foundation had a change of heart they wanna see if a vex harpy hybrid can live. or cub finally takes control of the experiment and kicks out the other scientists that are going too far. or grian finds shit to cover the vents and dropkicks every personnel's heads off their shoulders when they enter the enclosure. or they escape when the chicks hatch and live in a nice cave on a mountainside near a waterfall and a ways from a village and yoinked cub with him and they have a second clutch with him and they have a bunch of hatchlings running around and theyre so cute and fluffy and like to mimic their parents chirps and vex-giggles and sometimes they have really bad days where scar just rocks back and forth holding his stomach and grian refuses to let scar & the hatchlings leave the nest and cub is completely silent because the guilt is swallowing his voice whole and and aND AND AND ISOOIHSAOIHohouhnduosahnduoashdSUHDAHUDSHAD WHEN WILL THEY BE HAPPPPYYYYYYYY /lh - ✨

Kinda random, silly, and potentially very angsty thought for the Scarian Scp thing here, but what if in Scar being around Grian for all that time slowly changes Scar into something close to what Grian is?

Like, maybe a rogue scientist wanted to play god or something, took a old sample of Grian's DNA or got a fresh one via some drones, did a whole bunch of scientist stuff to make the dna merge with Scar's, and then snuck in into the next drone they knew was going to be going after Scar? (Like, a whole bunch of 'How the hell could this happen without getting caught' nonsense but as I said it's silly :p)

The effects are almost immediate. Scar begins to act sluggish and rather uninterested in anything other staying in the two's nest, barely even able to feed himself do to just being plain exhausted. Grian hovers around his mate more, mother-henning them to the fullest degree and letting out frantic upset warbles when Scar stops speaking to him.

The scientist does get caught eventually, but it's after everything is said and done, and far too late to reverse anything when the crooked scientist finally fesses up. Would something like this happening make the foundation heads vet the scientist working on the project more? With seeing how their greed and manipulation of the scientific process has harmed a human subject, albeit that subject being a D-class who has to have done something to land them in this cursed place? Who knows, that can be up to yall.

The crooked scientist getting punished by being thrown at another scp to be dealt with that way HEHE anyways- but ough poor Scar. Grian woukd love to get his hands in the person who did this to him

It would be funny in scp au, that Scar and Grian COULD talk to each other they just assumed the other couldn't. It's hilarious when they realize this whole time they could have talked Scar didn't have anything to say, he just wanted this over with. The faster the better but he's surprised when it doesn't happen. Grian didn't think Scar could talk cause everyone else didn't have anything important to say or he didn't understand whatever they were rambling about But they can understand each other, it just takes a bit for either of them to say something. And the look on both of their faces is priceless and something they will remember for a long long time. Cause even though they are shocked, its still so endearing on the other Not that they really needed to talk, they just click in ways that they can understand one another so well Also seeing that Scar is a vex unlike the others that came before him really piques Grian's interest. Mainly humans had come through here, not a fellow hybrid

The first time they do speak, and just stare dumb founded.. Grian bursts put laughing and Scar joins in not long after. Theere would be tears in their eyes by the time they're done.. It's so endearing. They haven't laughed for smiled since being in this place

Yall will just have to wait for what I have planned hehe. Scar and Grian could probably find many creative ways to 'mate' but not end up 'breeding' the other lol. But here's two more things about this little idea...

1-Grian had a flock before he was captured by the facility. It was him, his sister, and his brother. They lived pretty peaceful lives living in a forest somewhere, hunting animals for food and trying not to get to close to any cities as they found all the noise grating on their ears. But of course, one day people in black appeared and tried to capture the three bird people. Grian and his sister could camouflage into the leaves and forest brush pretty easy, but their brother wasn't born so lucky. The bright yellow feathers were pretty easy to spot as they didn't match with the dark green of the forest. And with Grian being the one and only one who was captured, you can probably tell what he did to make sure his family was safe. The years without his flock made him very bitter but also very lonely.

2-Grian's gender is currently unknown to the scientists as his bits are covered by a whole lot of feathers. It wasn't something that was needed until they realized Grian would be rather difficult to continually experiment on (and Grian refuses to say anything, nor does he care about their ideas of his gender). And they can't use the coloring of the feathers to determine Gri's gender like an actual bird, because Gri has a mix of both colorful and more dull feathers (Which for birds, dull=girl and colorful=boy). The colorful plumages covers only a small part of his body but still present. The scientist are hoping Grian will produce eggs, but they don't truly know if he will. But Scar gets a rather good look at Grian's bits...A close up look ;)

Oh no the babies :( grian and scar finally break free from the research place?? They go off on their own and find a place that’s safe and hidden away from prying eyes and are finally able to have a clutch of their own. It’s a struggle, due to both their trauma with having their eggs taken from them, but they manage and eventually have their little hatchlings and dote on them so much :]
