i like to think that the spectator ghosts from the 3rd life smp aren’t like. ghostbur ghosts. because they can’t talk or anything. 

so maybe it’s just that... ren will be enchanting something, and he’ll swear for a moment he sees skizzle next to him, holding lapis and waiting his turn. or bdubs, angry and pacing in his room, looks in the mirror and swears that cleo has her hand on his shoulder, trying to calm him down. or scott walks through his portal to get to his storage and as the purple swirls around him for that split second, he sees jimmy messing around in the room ahead, just a snapshot of him, laughing and happy, but then he’s in the room and it’s resoundingly, heartbreakingly empty. 

ghosts in the sense of a fleeting image made into a punch by the pain and loss that a person’s death leaves on your heart. when you think you see them in a crowd, or hear them call your name, but you blink or you turn around and it’s someone you’ve never met. except they’re actually there for the people on 3rd life. so close they could touch them. 

and then they’re gone. and they wait for days, sometimes weeks, to see that glimpse again.

its kinda tough watching old mccs knowing the strats and watching the players miss the blocks of iron in sky battle or not knowing walls cant come directly opposite from the previous one in hole in the wall, and missing massive parts of the game because of that.

but at the same time, its so cool to see how this event has evolved with the rise of the mcc reddit and the way the fans in the community can be involved themselves with point analyses and tier lists- both technical and jokes. so yeah- i just love it a lot. everyone say thank you scott major

This probably a rlly bad idea and will never happen but I wnat to see a MCC where like the og minecrafters (dantdm, stampycar, Pat and Jen, grian, Preston plays) are each put into a team with like the newer youtubers (dream team, sleepy bois inc, Tommy and Tubbo) and like the mid era youtubers (Scott, seepeekay, ldshadowlady, etc) like idk I know the teams wouldn’t work out bc of ppls compitiveness and stuff but I feel like it would be v funny for some reason
