Robert and Scott: "We met in 'Fender's Ballroom', a kind of youth center in L.A. I was queueing for a beer and so was Robert. Cheers! We started talking and it turned out he played bass, and I told him that I had played in a couple of bands. On top of that, it appeared that we liked the same kind of music." Besides that, apparently they were going out with the same girl: "we both went out with her a couple of times, but not at the same time. But this girl played a crucial role in the creation of Stone Temple Pilots. When one day she moved to Texas, and her house became available, Robert and I made use of the situation and squatted at her house.
