Although the card game mainly focused arround Normal Monsters in its first years, these creatures are too limited when comes to card design arround them. Due their lack of abilities most Normal Monsters shares the same roles and options, overall reducing the card pool to those with better stats to fit a proper Deck. Leaving behind hundreds of monsters obsolete by the constant powercreep, it was unavoidable Effect Monsters took over the game as Normal Monsters compensates their flaws with certain advantages the majority can't replicate.

Almost every Type has a Level 4 Normal Monster that breaks the status quo with incredible base stats, and "Alexandrite Dragon" is the card representing the Dragon-Type. With 2000 ATK this monster easily becomes a poweful choice to break through enemies and/or deal solid damage to our opponent. And while unfortunately might not be as different as other Normal Monsters in terms of efficiency if working together, the differences when we applied its Type makes "Alexandrite Dragon" obtain some additional benefits arround either Normal Monsters or other Dragons.

Normal Monsters overall shares the same valuable options to make them viable arround each other, but due some differences in certain traits "Alexandrite Dragon" obtains some other benefits to stand out on its own. Right from inside our Deck "Alexandrite Dragon" can come out thanks to cards like "Unexpected Dai" and "Rescue Rabbit", the latter summoning two copies to potentially use as materials. A safer option is to add it to our hand with the help of "Painful Decision" or "Dragoons of Draconia" for later use, while in late game cards like "Swing of Memories" and "Silent Doom" will constantly revive it for any purpose. The true differences arround "Alexandrite Dragon" compared to other Normal Monsters is when its Dragon-Type is applied arround its resources, gaining the help of cards like "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" and the Hieratic archetype to further increase our chances to Special Summon it.

"Alexandrite Dragon" can be played as any other Normal Monster or to support its own Type, all obviously depending of the Deck itself. With many options to summon Normal Monsters with ease, "Alexandrite Dragon" along other high ATK creatures can pressure the opponent as cards like "Skill Drain" and "Heat Wave" restricts their options. More particularly copies itself and "Mekk-Knight Avram", as thanks to their LIGHT Attribute they gain support from "Honest" inside our hand to overcome any stronger enemies in the middle of a battle. Arround its own Type "Alexandrite Dragon" might not provide much any other Dragons already cover, but if anything it can assist on the summon of "Lightpulsar Dragon" and/or "Darkflare Dragon" by banishing itself in our Graveyard.

As the strongest Normal Monster of its Type and Level "Alexandrite Dragon" already obtains a wonderful role in aggro strategies to pressure the opponent as well assist us in all sorts of setups. With many options to lead Duels and be summoned from early to late game, "Alexandrite Dragon" along other strong Normal Monsters can corner the opponent in no time. However, while "Alexandrite Dragon" can be played along other Dragons, the Type is one of the most supported out there with many themes and archetypes perfectly covering any purpose "Alexandrite Dragon" could provide by equal or better efficiency. Compared to other 2000 ATK Normal Monsters "Alexandrite Dragon" might be overshadowed on options arround its kind, but with constant support from many cards and effects will still stand out in Decks that will fit in.

The 19th century abandoned railway line in Peloponnese(SPAP)

Piraeus, Athens and Peloponnese Railways or SPAP (Greek: Σιδηρόδρομοι Πειραιώς-Αθηνών-Πελοποννήσου or Σ.Π.Α.Π.) was a Greek railway company founded in 1882, which owned and operated the 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 3⁄8 in) (metre gauge) Piraeus–Patras railway line connecting Piraeus and Athens to Peloponnese. The company was nationalized in 1954 and absorbed by the Hellenic State Railways in 1962.

The first line section between Piraeus, Athens and Elefsis was completed in 1884. The line reached Corinth in 1885 and Patras in 1887. In the meantime, an eastern branch from Corinth reached Argos and Nafplion in 1886. The western branch reached Pyrgos and finally Kyparissia in 1902. SPAP also acquired the line between Myloi (near Argos) and Kalamata via Tripoli, from the bankrupt Southern Greece Railways (Sidirodromoi Mesimbrinis Ellados). The two routes to Kalamata, via Patras and via Tripoli, merged at Zevgolatio Short branches were also constructed to serve important towns: Argos-Nafplion, Lefktro-Megalopolis, Kavasila-Vartholomio-Kyllini, Vartholomio-Kyllini Spa (Loutra), Pyrgos to Ancient Olympia, Asprochoma-Messini and, much later (1954), Isthmos-Loutraki. Diakofto Kalavrita Railway was also constructed by SPAP, but at a smaller gauge (750 mm or 2 ft 5 1⁄2 in)

The line from Piraeus to Corinth was 99 km, from Corinth to Kalamata via Tripoli 236 km and from Corinth to Zevgolatio via Patras and Pyrgos 347 km. The total length of the system with the branch lines was 731 km.

In 1929 SPAP acquired the Heraklion-Lavrion section of Athens-Lavrion Railway, formerly operated by Attica Railways, and constructed a link from Kato Liossia (today Agioi Anargyroi) to Heraklion, to connect the Lavrion line to its network (1931). Passenger services on this branch were suspended in 1957 and it was cut off from the rest of the network in 1962, due to the construction of the Athens-Thessaloniki highway.

During the Axis occupation of Greece in World War 2, and especially during the withdrawal of German troops in 1944, the network and the rolling stock suffered extensive damages both by the German army and by Greek resistance groups. Repair of SPAP assets was time consuming and expensive. Damaged rolling stock was mainly repaired at Piraeus Engine Sheds. Normal levels of service resumed at about 1948 with the exception of the destroyed bridge of Achladokampos (between Argos and Tripoli), which was rebuilt by OSE in 1974.

In 1951 SPAP absorbed the small Pyrgos-Katakolo Railway. In 1953 SPAP absorbed Northwestern Greece Railways (SDBE), which operated a metre gauge line from Kryoneri to Messolongi and Agrinion.

In 1920 SPAP was briefly nationalized as part of the Hellenic State Railways but it became an independent company again two years later. Due to high debts, SPAP came under government control in 1939-1940 and was formally nationalized again in 1954. In 1962 the company was absorbed by the Hellenic State Railways.[1]

The economic crisis in Greece led to the suspension of all passenger and freight services on the metre gauge railway system in the Peloponnese in 2011. It is unlikely services will ever resume as a publicly run system, although some privately-chartered services occasionally run. A short section through the port city of Patras remains open as a suburban railway.

The Graveyard quickly became a core resource for many players to rely on almost immediately from early game. Thanks to milling effects and other methods to dispose of monsters, revival effects became a must have tool for many Decks to reuse monsters as well ease the summon of some of our strongest options. Either dumping powerful monsters for an immediate arrival or exploiting cheap revival effects to constantly gather materials, many Decks tries to counter the Graveyard in some way or another due the dependance many Decks have on the many exploits they can work with.

"Monster Reborn" was the first and still strongest revival effect in the entire game, with no restrictions whatsoever given the fact other banned cards got rewritten effects upon their return from a forbidden status. By just its mere activation "Monster Reborn" allows us to revive any monster from any Graveyard to our side of the field, having all kinds of uses and possibilities depending of the circumstances. In a game where many Decks abuse the Graveyard by reviving monsters for all sorts of setups and summons, "Monster Reborn" is just another card they can depend on in addition of some uses as a counter given that can revive opponent's monsters if needed.

The uses of "Monster Reborn" are quite similar to many other revival effects that were released after it, with some small yet important liberties. By default we can keep "Monster Reborn" ready to revive a powerful yet defeated monster, specially in the case of those that were in the Extra Monster Zone so they come back and leave that area free for other Extra Deck summons. In other cases we can instead rush preparatives by disposing key monsters to the Graveyard, ranging from "Foolish Burial" and Lightsworn monsters milling our Deck to using potential "Monster Reborn" targets to pay costs from our hand such as "Trade-In". Other use is to immediately revive a monster that was just used as material to aim for a more expensive summon, ranging from a Synchro Summon with a higher Level to Link Monsters working arround their Rating. Similarly, "Monster Reborn" can revive virtually any monster available in any Graveyard to not only that kind of summons but also Tribute Summons, specially useful if we work along shortcuts such as "Gellenduo" of "Double Coston" among many others. Let's not forget that "Monster Reborn" can revive opponent's monsters, not only stealing key options if any (Specially if we can use them as a Xyz material so stays with us) but assuring a potential target in case our Graveyard is empty of targets. Combined with thematic revival effects depending of the Deck's theme, ranging from target effects like "Black Salvo" or "Book of Life" to swarming effects like "Tri-Wight" and "Rekindling", "Monster Reborn" will soon keep the momentum along the rest of our tools to keep reviving monsters turn after turn.

From reviving powerful monster to stealing from the opponent's Graveyard, "Monster Reborn" remains one of the most efficient revival cards any player can depend on. With several methods to gather important monsters to our Graveyard and exploitable setups that goes from Tribute Summon to the many Extra Deck options, "Monster Reborn" is as important as any other revival effect that took over its position during the various years that was banned. If anything "Monster Reborn" might have lost some prevalence in certain Decks due the many replacements that took over, some of them allowing the user to revive several monsters at once without much effort. Yet, with the ability to revive any monster from any Graveyard for any purpose at the moment, "Monster Reborn" might not fill boards like more thematic alternatives but is still a powerful card with tons of possibilites arround its usability.
