Desk smut for Sean Wallace in his fathers office, like him n his s/o had an argument before a family dinner
Tumblr media
Tensions had been high since the moment that you had stepped foot in the Wallace house. You had always suspected that Seans mother never liked you, and the look that she gave you as your car pulled up into the drive way all but confirmed it. No matter what you did, no matter how much you tried to bond with her, you just hadn’t been able to build the connection that Sean so clearly wanted. Family was all he had, he had made that much clear.
And so, after a few glasses of wine as canapes were passed around to the Wallaces and the Dumanis, you took the opportunity to pull your boyfriend to the side. Although chaste kisses in the corridor turned into something more sinister.
“I’m not sure what else I can do Sean?” You hissed, trying to remain calm as he once again asked you to attempt to get on with his family, “It’s clearly not something that I can control.”
His eyes rolled as the conversation went exactly the way that it always did, with the two of you agreeing not to disagree in one way or the other.
“Honestly I’m getting sick of being the only person that seems to be trying,” You spoke, the red wine lowering your inhibitions enough to let you speak your mind, “Every time I’m in a room with that woman it’s like I’ve personally wronged her. It’s like I've done something to personally hurt her and it doesn’t make any sense. I get on well enough with the Dumani’s. Shannon and I are going shopping for rugs next week, and me and Billy get on like a house on fire.”
Sean sighed, his whole body giving off the aura of not wanting to be talking about this even though he was the person who had started talking about his mother.
“You know that my mother isn’t like the Dumani’s. She isn’t even like Billy. She is strong-willed and relies heavily on instinct just as my father did.”
“So what? She thinks that I’m a threat? Her instinct is telling her that there’s something wrong with me?”
“Will you keep your fucking voice down” Sean hissed, the fact that you were only one wall away from the rest of the party being lost on you and he grabbed your arm, pulling you down the corridor into a room you had only been in once before.
You had been allowed into Finn Wallace's study when you had woken up to the sound of music erupting from below you in the middle of the night when you had stayed at the Wallace house. On an evening where you had walked in to find Sean shirtless sitting on the couch and sipping Whiskey, staring at his father's chair with a glare that you had not known was pure unadulterated rage until he had taken it out on you later that evening.
The memory of that night was clearly not lost on him as you glanced behind him to the couch that he had pinned you down on, your eyes moving softly over the hand which had choked you until your release. And although now was probably not the time to be thinking about just how well your boyfriend always fucked you, it did serve to alleviate a bit of the tension.
“Look, I’m sorry that your mum hates me. Really I am. Because I don’t want her to, and I don’t want to spend each family dinner at each other's throats because the man I love’s mother doesn’t accept me. I would do anything to change this--to make this go smoother-- to make her like me even”
He moved closer then, clearly moved by your declaration and the way you had apologised, effectively backing down more than he probably anticipated. Everything was about control with Sean Wallace.
“Anything?” He spoke, his eyes moving across your lips and you couldn’t help but lick them as if he commanded your body as well as your mind. And you nodded, moving closer to him.
“Anything.”
It happened in a second, one of his large hands grabbing your waist and pulling you flush against him, the other holding your face as your lips crashed together.
“Sean..” you whispered, breathless as you glanced at the door, knowing that his family was only on the other side and that his mother hearing your moans would not help the situation at all.
“I’ll keep you quiet,” was all he said as he spun you around, the hand which had been on your waist pushing your back over his fathers desk, the other pushing up your skirt and running softly along your panties before he undid his own belt.
You moved so your back was pressed against his chest, reaching into his trousers and grabbing his erection as his lips met yours. He had always loved the ferocity that accompanied your trysts but this was something else. He held your neck to ensure your face didn’t turn from him, and you pulled him from his pants just enough that he could press inside of you from this awkward angle.
Even twisted like a pretzel this was one of the best sexual experiences you had ever had, his hips moving so deliciously inside of you that you knew you wouldn’t last long, not that you had time. As he manoeuvred you to his will and began pressing inside of you and against your g-spot in a way only a frequent lover knew how you felt yourself building, and you began to lose control.
“F-fuck..” You whispered through moans, his hand moving to cover your lips as you looked up at him innocently, his intense eyes so much that you were turned on even by that,
“Do you want everyone to know what we’re doing in here hm?” He whispered, his lips so closed that his words would be whispered against yours if his hand wasn’t the only thing holding back your euphoria. “You’re worried about my mother liking you and you’re fucking me on my fathers desk? You fucking bad girl.”
He knew you loved it, knew you got off on him calling you bad and you were sure that if the situation permitted it he would have slapped your ass or choked you or both,
“Now I’m going to keep fucking you like this because I love you and I fucking love the way that you make me feel. And after you cum all over my cock, you’re going to go out there and be a good girl all night aren’t you? You’re going to be nice to my mother, and you’re going to behave..”
His hips thrust perfectly inside you with every inflexion, and by the time he asked you to behave you would have done anything he said. Nodding desperately, you moaned quietly against his hand, and he removed it only to hear you whisper, “Yes Sir.”
His hand pressed against you once more as he fucked you in the way only he knew how, his cock so perfect and delicious and he knew your body so well that you didn’t even need to warn him as you were getting close, and a simple whisper of “cum.” was all it took.

Fandom rambles: Why I'll never watch Tony DiNozzo leave
I have been a NCIS fan from the very first minute. It wasn't even its own show yet, when I started to root for Team Gibbs (minus Blackadder of course). So when the show came to be, it had always been a show about Gibbs and Tony and their cases for me. Everyone else was just an addition. Some more so than other.
The core team (bullpen) was Gibbs with Tony, the expanded team entailed Ducky and Abby. Everyone was just there to add momentum, to have someone to play of on, to add a little different spice week to week.
That means as much as I loved Kate, I never rallied too much for her. I was sad to see Sasha Alexander go, but not because now “Tate” would never happen, but simply because I had gotten used to her special kind of spice. Although the recipe started to grow stale a bit.
Sean Murray's addition to the cast was a quirk I liked to see for a while. But at the end of season 2 I wouldn't have shed a tear, if his Timothy McGee would have been reassigned.
That changed a bit when they just had to add a new female main character with Cote de Pablo's Ziva David. Whom I hugely disliked from day one. Not because of the actress – I never have heard anything from her before and never watched anything else she had been part of.
It's Ziva's backstory that made it impossible to like her. She was a spy, an assassin, officer of a foreign agency and on top of that the handler (and half-sister) of Kate's assassin.
So, yeah, no. Biggest nope that ever noped.
No way in freaking hell was I ever going to be able to suspend disbelieve that much. And I didn't. For 8 seasons I saw my favorite show getting transformed week after week into “The Ziva David Show”. If it wasn't about her evergrowing daddy issues (including international espionage), it had to be about her toying with Tony.
Who for the sake of Ziva David's ever growing unbelievable talents and trust with Gibbs was dumbed down until the abused kid of an alcoholic father was actually made to forgive said deadbeat on urging of his mentor Gibbs! Well, don't get me started on the many issues I have with having Senior on the show.
Finally Cote jumped ship - I heard my inner William Wallace scream “Freedom” - rejoiced and really looked forward for Tony's evolution. Which actually happened. He was intelligent once more. A seasoned investigator. Gibbs' trusted Second in Command. Okay, McGee, not hanging on Ziva's coattails any longer was shaping up too, but still no competition. Tony DiNozzo was back and just happened to save Gibbs' ass again.
Sadly Gibbs, ever since being blown up at the end of season 3 had this recurring problem with the memory of his “girls”. On any other show I would have loved the otherworldly stuff, but on a mostly procedural the thing shouldn't have to be brought up practically every year.
Yes, he lost wife and daughter. Yes, he had to relive the trauma due to having lost his memories. But – he had his Mexican Siesta and years and years to somewhat get over it. Yes, you'll never truly get over stuff like that, but you move on. Gibbs was married three more times and had countless affairs for Chuck's sake! Don't tell me, he exclusively loves Shannon to this day!
Yeah, well, so Gibbs is starting to be odd. Even by Gibbs' standards. And Tony suffers for it. Of course he does. Again the character gets sidelined for some rehashed drama. Biggest difference this time?
Michael Weatherly told the world, that he was leaving the show. “Because there are no new stories to tell for Tony” or something like that.
Instead of giving their second highest billed actor and his much beloved character of 12 years a huge send-off, they opt for a fan-pleaser. Well, actually only part of the fandom.
You see, the “Tivas” are very vocal and have never accepted anyone in Cote's place. Instead of simply stopping to watch the show, if they hated it so much, they yelled and screamed and even threatened. (Michael Weatherly's family got death threats, because those so called fans thought that fiction and reality were somehow the same and Bojana somehow had any sway in the contract negotiations between CBS and Cote – beats me, how someone can be so delusional.)
Basically a temper tantrum on a huge scale. And as the good “parents” the showrunners are, they gave into their demands and delivered Tiva. *end saracasm here*
Instead of a huge send-off Tony DiNozzo didn't even appear for one of the last three episodes and only marginally in one other. Since I refuse to watch his actual last episode, I have to rely on recaps for it, but his last episode the fans are suddenly presented with a “Tiva” love-child out of left field, which was such a love-child that Ziva never even hinted at it during their correspondence and Skype chats after she remained in Israel for good. But since the actress was not available, Ziva could not answer the questions due to the fact that she conveniently got herself killed, which Tony somehow not believes and decides to take the child and goes to Paris (of all places) to look for her.
Huge send-off, huh?! *my sarcasm is showing again*
Yeah, no, nope and noper. I refuse to watch that wreck. Ziva might be dead, but I refuse to believe that Tony – previous playboy extraordinaire (after Wendy left him practically at the altar) - would have engage in sexual relations with any woman, he was not married to, without being sure about protection. Especially not Ziva, who was anything else but celibate and even engaged in sexual acts with her marks, when needed. That's one.
Two is that Tony has been a seasoned special agent and investigator with ties to the highest places for close to 15 years at the time of him leaving. He has managed to hunt Ziva down across the Middle East when she played dead there, even when the freaking Mossad could not, he would have heard about a pregnancy and subsequent child in the event of an accident of the procreational nature instead off being surprised by it. (Not to mention that some of his contacts actually came to genuinely like and respect him.)
Three – honestly, Tony lived for his job for far too long, I get it, but he had a good thing going with Zoe there for a while. But the character (and their relationship) simply got dropped off-screen. Never understood why. I mean, there was not even some bullshitting about: “Yeah, we are alright in the sack, but otherwise we're better off as friends.” It simply was over, Tony was left in a limbo for a while and then Ziva allegedly dropped dead and left him to raise their daughter. That’s simply lazy story writing.
No. Nope. Noper.
Even if I could believe that whole love-child BS, Ziva David – as much as I hate her character – never struck me as a woman, who - outside of her duties as a spy/assassin - would bereave a parent of his child. Even if only for the sake of the child.
After all she suffered from abandonment issues all her life, because of her Daddy living for his job and only accepting his kids when they were good little soldiers. So her doing something like that to her own child is too taxing for my imagination.
No, Tony's send-off was badly planned and written by lazy writers who simply had no understanding of this character's past and intentions, as well as obviously not knowing the show from the beginning.
Tony was proud to be Gibbs' Second, loyal to a fault and a great agent. It would have been time for the big reward, not a short “bye, bye”.
A new love, maybe a new position closer to his new love, his own team at least. Or if he would have been willing to leave the field, a promotion to assistant to or even Deputy Director would have been something I could see Tony willing to so. It has lots of travels and lots of people and new experiences (which he loves), but it's not too much of the elbow-rubbing society like some kind of assistant director stationed out of DC.
Heck, even him taking a bullet for Gibbs, McGee or Ellie would have been a better send-off!
So, no, not watching that or anything that followed after. In my mind, Gibbs got his shit together, and him and Tony are still merrily solving major cases for the NCIS. And sometimes Tony comes by after hours and sits on his step of stairs down the basement, and they talk like the friends they actually always have been.

Taking the PopSugar reading challenge this year? The LCPL reader’s advisory team has some suggestions. Don’t strain your eyes reading the pictures - we’ve put our suggestions for each category under the cut, plus the suggestions we couldn’t fit between the lines! The person who did the recommending is in parenthesis after the suggestion (just in case you’re a fan of one of us in particular...)
A book recommended by a librarian
Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man by Fannie Flagg (Chris)
A book that’s been on your TBR list for way too long
Obviously we don’t know what’s been on your TBR list for eons, but Chris picked A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving from her own. (Chris)
A book of letters
Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn (Chris) (Seconded! --Rachel)
An audiobook
I Am Half-Sick of Shadows by Alan C. Bradley (Read by the amazing Jayne Entwhistle. --Chris)
A book by a person of color
A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest J. Gaines (Chris)
A book with one of the four seasons in the title
Cheating answer: Before the Fall by Noah Hawley     Legit answer (but a children’s book):  The Penderwicks:  A Summer Tale of Four Sisters, Two Rabbits, and a Very Interesting Boy by Jeanne Birdsall (Chris)
A book that is a story within a story
The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón (Chris)     The Princess Bride by William Goldman (Rachel)
A book with multiple authors
The Heist by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg  (Chris     Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan (Rachel)
An espionage thriller
The Expats by Chris Pavone (Rachel)
A book with a cat on the cover
Into the Wild by  Erin Hunter (Christina W)     Dewey by Vicki Myron (It’s a cute story --Amy V)
A book by an author who uses a pseudonym
The Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Galbraith (Chris)
A bestseller from a genre you don’t normally read
So we don’t know what you don’t normally read, but Beth and Robin usually don’t read realistic fiction or superhero comics, respectively. If either of those describes you, give one of these a try:     The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian (I normally read fantasy and sci-fi, while this is realistic fiction --Robin)     Ms. Marvel by G. Willow Wilson (Beth)
A book by or about a person who has a disability
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes (Chris)  (YES! --Beth) (Editor’s note: We understand that the movie portrayal of this novel has been criticized for clumsy handling of a sensitive subject. You may find that the novel handles these issues with more grace, or at least more thoroughness. Either way, books like this one are a good springboard to critical discussion and we encourage everyone to read thoughtfully.)
A book involving travel
This is Your Life, Harriet Chance! by Jonathan Evison (Chris)
A book with a subtitle
Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by  Mary Roach (Chris)
A book that’s published in 2017
Girl in Disguise by Greer Macallister (Chris)
A book involving a mythical creature
His Majesty’s Dragon by Naomi Novik (Chris)
A book you’ve read before that never fails to make you smile Again, we can’t say what you’ve read before or what will make you smile, but here’s a great re-read Robin and Chris both suggest:
A Christmas Carol Charles Dickens (Chris) (I recommend listening to Neil Gaiman’s performance of it for extra smiles --Robin)
A book about food
Blood, Bones, and Butter by Gabrielle Hamilton (Rachel)
A book with career advice
The Intern’s Handbook by Shane Kuhn (Chris)
A book from a nonhuman perspective
The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker (Chris)
A steampunk novel
    Boneshaker by Cherie Priest (Chris)
A book with a red spine
Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld (Amy J)     The Mangle Street Murders by M.R.C. Kasasian (Chris)
A book set in the wilderness
Never Cry Wolf by Farley Mowat (Chris)
A book you loved as a child We don’t know what books YOU loved as a child, but here’s one Robin loved!
Talking to Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede (Robin)
A book by an author from a country you’ve never visited Chris hasn’t visited Australia! If you have also not visited Australia, this suggestion is for you.
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty (Chris)
A book with a title that’s a character’s name
Forrest Gump by Winston Groom or Doc by Mary Doria Russell (a novel featuring Wyatt Earp and John Henry "Doc" Holliday --Chris)
A novel set during wartime
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein (There’s a prequel coming out in 2017. --Amy J)     Sarah’s Key by Tatiana de Rosnay (Beth)     The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah (Chris)
A book with an unreliable narrator
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (Still the best in the genre! --Chris)
A book with pictures
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs (Chris)
A book where the main character is a different ethnicity than you We don’t know what ethnicity you are, so here are a few options:

Whip It (2009)
Drama, Sport |
Whip It is a American sports comedy-drama film directed by Drew Barrymore in her directorial debut and written by Shauna Cross, based on her 2007 novel Derby Girl. The film is co-produced by Barrymore and Barry Mendel. It stars Ellen Page as a teenager from the fictional town of Bodeen, Texas, who joins a roller derby team.
The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 13, 2009 and was theatrically released on October 2, 2009 in the United States by Fox Searchlight Pictures. It received generally positive reviews from critics but was a box office disappointment, grossing $16.6 million worldwide against its $15 million budget.
Bliss Cavendar is a misfit in the small town of Bodeen, Texas, with no sense of direction in her life. Her mother, Brooke, a former beauty queen, pushes her to enter beauty pageants despite her lack of interest. During a shopping trip to Austin with her mother, Bliss encounters three roller derby team members and finds herself intrigued by the sport in which teams and players are given pun names that highlight the violent aspect of the sport. Intrigued, she and her friend Pash attend a roller derby bout under the pretense of going to a football game, where they see the “Holy Rollers” defeat the “Hurl Scouts”, a perennially unsuccessful derby team.

When it comes to the world of Blade Runner, the mysteries have always been better than the solutions. Part of why a sequel like Blade Runner 2049 even exists is because the original film asked so many hard questions and gave so few concrete answers—and it’s a tradition that continues with the new film.
To be fair, Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049 feels like it has more answers to its bigger questions than Ridley Scott’s 1982 original. But there are some certainly enough mysteries and loose ends to keep us talking, whether or not another Blade Runner movie ever gets made.
Below are some of the questions we had about 2049, some discussion of what the answers might be (if any), and then a few other things we’re just selfishly curious about.
Is Deckard a Replicant?
This is the Blade Runner question to end all Blade Runner questions, and one that is, wisely, still not answered in Blade Runner 2049. Instead, the conundrum is only made more complex. So, for example, fans would ask “If Deckard is a Replicant, how can he be alive 30 years later?” Simple. Blade Runner 2049 introduces the concept of the Nexus 8, a new model Replicant with an extended lifespan. We also learn there have always been advanced models of Replicants with secret abilities, such as Rachael in the first film. So maybe he’s one of them.
Then again, throughout Deckard’s limited screen time in the film, he’s decidedly human in his actions. For instance, he doesn’t jump through a wall to escape in Las Vegas, something his Replicant companion K, a.k.a. Joe (Ryan Gosling), does quite easily.
Then there’s Deckard’s daughter. Blade Runner 2049 makes the bombshell revelation that he and Rachael, a Replicant, had a daughter. The film reveals that Tyrell, the creator of the Replicants, specially engineered Rachael to have the ability to reproduce. Then, it’s proposed by Tyrell’s evil successor, Niander Wallace (Jared Leto), that Deckard may have also been created for the sole purpose to be with her, so it kind of comes down to the science of it. Is it more believable that Tyrell figured out a way to create life between a human and a Replicant, or to create life between two Replicants? We’ll probably never know, but it’s certainly an interesting question.
How did Wallace not know Deckard and Rachael’s child was working for him?
Most of Blade Runner 2049 is a race between Joe and Luv (Sylvia Hoeks) to find the miracle child of Deckard and Rachael. However, later we learn that the child is Dr. Ana Stelline (Carla Juri), a woman who has been working for Wallace for years, creating dreams that are implanted into Replicants. For a man that knows so much, it seems a bit odd that Wallace didn’t know Ana was the person he was looking for.

There’s no definitive answer to this question but there are some possibilities. One is that perhaps Deckard’s efforts to cover up all records of his whereabouts and of his child were so thorough, Wallace couldn’t have known who she was. And though Wallace knew the child existed without being told (more on that below), it seems likely that Deckard and his friends simply made it very hard to find out his child’s identity. And then, growing up with such unique DNA, she used her potential to become this talented doctor.
Is Joe permanently dead?
In the final moments of 2049, as Deckard finally meets his daughter, we see Joe lie down on the steps and, seemingly, die. The film certainly suggests that he’s dead (or “retired,” in Blade Runner speak) but he’s a Replicant. Even if he is “retired,” you have to think he could be brought back, if a story called for it? We even see some precedent for that earlier in the film.
However, writer Michael Green shut that down. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Green said, “I was surprised to find out that anyone thought he didn’t die. And I can say this: the non-casual fan might recognize the music cue that plays in that moment.”
(It’s the music from the “Time to Die” scene in the original.)
How can a Replicant have a baby?
“Let me tell you about the birds and the bees.” Seriously, though, this is a question we’re wondering about but don’t think can ever actually be answered. All we know is that Tyrell, the original creator of the Replicants, figured out a way for one to give birth, but kept it very, very secret. We don’t know if the mother needs human DNA or if Replicant DNA works. All we know is Tyrell’s discovery is something Wallace wants to exploit for his profit—but any actual logistics or science will probably never be explained.
What’s next for the Deckard family?
A very unlikely family reunion takes place at the end of Blade Runner 2049, that of Rick Deckard and his daughter Ana, who is either half-Replicant or full Replicant. Either way, she’s the first child with a Replicant mother, basically making her the most important person on the planet. How she and her father will handle that revelation and choose to proceed is another one of those questions that can only be answered in another sequel (or fan fiction). So we’ll see. However, with Wallace still out there, still powerful, and still hungry for the answers Ana holds, danger is surely looming for them.
How does Wallace even know that Tyrell made a Replicant who could—and did—have a baby?
The revelation that Rachael had a child is one of the big twists at the beginning of Blade Runner 2049 and is handled as such. The characters are as shocked as the audience. However, soon after—and very matter-of-factly—it’s revealed that Wallace already knew. How? Well, presumably being the current owner of what used to be the Tyrell Corporation has some perks. Like maybe Wallace had access to some secret files where the former owner revealed these things. On the flip side, though, if classified files are how Wallace found out, why didn’t Tyrell document how he did it? Given how quickly the film moves past this, this is obviously not a concern in the Blade Runner world. But still, it’s curious.
What is the significance of June 10, 2021?
6/10/21. These numbers are written on the tree at Sapper Morton’s farm, next to where we know Rachael was buried, and on the wooden horse Deckard carved for his daughter. Blade Runner 2049 never quite tells us what the numbers mean, but it’s a safe assumption that was the day Ana was born, and the day Rachael died. She is buried under the numbers, after all, and putting a date of death on a grave is a, dare we say it, very human thing to do.
What’s up with the Replicant resistance Mariette is working for?
Near the end of the film, Joe is confronted by a Replicant resistance which Mariette (Mackenzie Davis) has been working for. Their leader, Fresya (Hiam Abbass), basically wants what Wallace wants: for Replicants to be able to reproduce. But she also wants them to be free. The implication here is that a larger Replicant uprising is slowly in the works, but Blade Runner 2049 never really pays this off. It sets it up and leaves it be, in what’s the most obvious of several potential clues that 2049 may just be the first of more Blade Runner films. Even if we never see it play out, it’s a safe bet that humanity has some problems coming its way.
How the hell did the filmmakers bring back 2019 Rachel?
One of the film’s biggest surprises is when Wallace produces a near-perfect reproduction of Rachael circa 2019, the year the original movie took place. Bringing back characters from the grave or making actors look younger is pretty common in movies these days (see: Rogue One, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), but Rachael, looking exactly as she did when played by Sean Young in 1982, is by far the best one yet. She looks damn near perfect and not like some kind of fully computer graphic creation. There were reports that Sean Young filmed some secret scenes for the movie but, for now, the technical process remains a mystery. However, unlike most of the questions posed above, this is one we will almost certainly get an answer to.

The only one in the relationship who needed to be comforted, was me. Or at least, the one who really showed to be needing comfort. That’s how we learnt to read each other.
Sean always knew I needed to be hugged when I didn’t say sentences with more than three words. So, when my texts were short too, he knew he had to prepare himself for a movie night.
He always made sure to order my favourite pizza, and to have cold water for her to drink. Cheesy pizza was always too salty after two or three slices. And the tissues were always there, if the movie made her release the stress from the day.
The small smile was always there when I entered the house, ready to let a stressful day go away.
“Hey, princess.” he would smile, rocking a grey sweater and a dark blue jean.
Sean was good.
“How was your day?” he would ask, knowing the answer would be…
“I need a hug. Please?” and he would always give me one.
He always played Back to the Future, and he played guitar with my arm.
Sean was funny. And not a lot of people knew that about him.
When we baked, he would put frosting on my lips just to kiss me.
“I needed an excuse.” he would say.
He never needed one.
When he was sad, or stressed, he didn’t talk. He would come home, kiss me and he would continue working upstairs. Once I interrupted, and I thought he would yell.
But he didn’t. He saw me standing at the doorway, looking at him, worried to my bones. He opened his arms, and next thing I knew I was hugging a man that was trying his hardest not to cry.
“I am fine, don’t worry.”
He said that for himself, because he knew I wouldn't be able to stop worrying.
I would wait for him to finish. Sometimes I fell asleep, but he had me by his side. Like I always had him. Thick or thin, we had each other.
I used to fall asleep on a small, leather chair. If I had a dollar for everytime I slept there, I would be rich… I would be able to buy a new life, for Sean and me.
One day, he bought a big, soft couch. It was as soft as a cloud. He wanted me there, he allowed me be there for him on his own terms. During winter, I would sleep with his black coat, the puffer. And I would fall asleep so quickly.
Now that he’s gone, I still see him on his chair. Running his fingers through his hair, breathing deeply to calm himself, looking at me with a smile full of love and tenderness.
Now that he’s gone, I still sleep on my side, hoping to see him walking through the door, entering late at night our room.
Now that he’s gone, I still leave the window open. Because when a wild wind enters the room, it gets all flooded in his perfume. And it feels like his late night hugs. When he kissed my ear and told me he couldn’t wait to wake up next to me the next morning.
“What if I disappear in the middle of the night?” I would ask.
“That’s why you sleep with my arms wrapping you. I will never allow that.”
I am beginning to think I should have wrapped my arms around you that night, to assure myself you would stay by my side.
But you are not here to watch over me anymore. And I don’t know if I’m already disappearing with you, but I know a part of me already did.
When Y/N looked away from the letter, she wanted to see Sean there, saying everything was going to be okay. But she could only see black hats, dresses and suits. And so many fake, fake tears. They didn’t know Sean. They would never cry over the person she was crying over. Because he was hers. That Sean was only hers.
