We are currently mulling the idea of buying an electric car (emphatically it will not be a Tesla which simply trades one kind of toxic pollution for support of another), so I thought this LC photo was worth posting. Amazing how different the world would be if the oil cartel, and it was a cartel created after the monopoly of Standard Oil was slightly crushed by a 1911 court decision, had not prevailed and electric cars had become the norm. It was a technological possibility, but gasoline powered automobiles came to be the almost exclusive automotive form thanks to the near monopolies in energy sources and and slightly later the manufacture of vehicles. The consequence of monopoly capitalism at its worst!

They’re supposed to be a few years older here hence the love gate being replaced with glass.

ID: A four page comic focusing on Marinette running into Chat Noir at the Pont Des Arts bridge.

Page One: The first panel shows a slightly older Marinette smiling with a yellow exclamation mark near her head. One end of the Pont Des Arts bridge is behind her. The second panel shows Chat Noir from a distant sitting on a bench looking in her direction after she calls out to him with, “Kitten!” In the third panel, he’s smiling and waving to her with a pink shoujo-esque background saying, “Hello, Princess. <3″ In the fourth panel, Marinette’s joined him on the bench with her hand on his back. With a grin, she asks him what he’s up to. He’s giving her a fond look as well.

Page Two: In the first panel, there is a close up on one of the bridge poles that have a few locks latched onto it close to the railing. Chat Noir (off screen) says, “Nothing. I was just thinking. Even though they replaced the walls, people still leave their love locks where ever they can.” Second panel shows the top of a pole with a few more locks up there. Chat Noir (again, off screen) continues, “If we had one...” Then he finishes his thoughts in the last panel with, “I would put ours up there.” He’s looking up while Marinette smiles softly.

Page Three: In the first panel, Marinette says, “Well lucky day for us. I brought one with me. <3″ She and Chat Noir are leaning in toward each other with their back to the reader as she says this. In the next panel, Chat Noir holds Marinette close, his stick already activated and ready to launch them up to the top of the bridge pole. Still grinning, Chat Noir asks Marinette if she’s ready. The next panel is a close up of Marinette’s hand clutching and black and red object in her hand close to her chest. She says, “Ready.” The last panel shows Marinette in Chat Noir’s lap as they’re suspended in the air. Her arm’s stretched out.

Final Page: The first panel shows a customized lock now secured on the top of the bridge. Marinette (off screen) says, “There.” And the final panel shows Marinette holding onto Chat Noir looking up saying, “It’s perfect.” While Marinette is admiring their love lock, Chat Noir’s attention is entirely on her.
