She moaned softly as Sebastian kissed her. The way his lips slotted perfectly against hers, like two puzzle pieces coming together. He had her pushed against the bedpost as they hungrily devoured each other. Teeth clashed against teeth, lips bitten and pulled. Ariadne pulled back to look into Sebastian's eyes. They were blown and dilated, desire swimming in them. She watched as Sebastian dropped his house robe on the floor and loosen his school tie until it joined the robe.
Ariadne pulled him back to her, kissing him with such passion and force that the bedpost shook. Sebastian tasted like spiced apple cider and cinnamon, something she desperately craved. His large hands found their way to her waist, pulling her flush against him while hers found their way into his dark tresses. Sebastian groaned as she tugged, knowing it drove him crazy.
The first time they slept together, both were a little tipsy on the fire whiskey that Ariadne's Aunt Marjorie had stashed in the kitchen for when she visited. Given it was both their first times, it wasn't at all ideal. Ariadne didn't regret it though, she hoped the same for Sebastian. But as time grew over the summer and spending time twisted in each other's bedsheets, they figured out how the other liked it and how to make it last longer.
Sebastian's grip shifted to Ariadne's thighs, hoisting one of them around his torso. He started to trail hot, wet, open-mouthed kisses along her jaw and neck. He nipped at the place where her neck and shoulder met, sucking the spot moments later- leaving his mark on her, a golden tattoo. A shiver went down Ariande's spine as a soft moan left her lips. She gripped Sebastian's shirt in her fists and his free hand dipped beneath her skirt and into her bloomers, his fingers sliding along her folds.
"You're already wet for me, Ari? We've barely scratched the surface," He chuckled, pulling his hand out and examining his fingers as they glistened with her arousal.
Ariadne watched as Sebastian licked his fingers clean as he stared into her eyes. All she wanted to do at that moment was rip off Sebastian's clothes and have him take her then and there, but she knew better than to hasten the moment.
She pushed him away slightly, taking her school tie and slipping it off. Sebastian watched her as she slowly removed the white blouse, skirt, and stockings. Underneath was a lilac-colored bodice and matching lace bloomers. Sebastian openly moaned aloud as he removed his shirt and trousers.
"You and that damned color," He muttered as he picked Ariadne up and placed her on the bed, dragging her to the edge.
He got on his knees and slowly started trailing kisses up her leg, leaving lovebites in his wake. He squeezed the soft flesh of her thighs. Sebastian's brown eyes met her green ones as he pressed a kiss to her clothed core.
"Don't tease me, Sallow!" Ariadne whined, squirming against him.
"Why would I do that?" Sebastian smiled as he slid her bloomers down her legs and tossed them carelessly over his shoulder.
Her aching core was revealed to him, and Ariadne sucked in a breath as she watched Sebastian lick a long and slow stripe up her cunt. She gripped the lilac coverlet, biting down on her bottom lip. She was putty in his hands.
"You taste so fucking delicious, Ari," Sebastian said, his tongue circling her clit.
"Oh shit, Bash-" Ariadne moaned falling back onto the bed as one hand tugged him by the hair even closer to her heat.
He groaned gently as he suckled her, inserting his index finger in her entrance, slowly moving it in and out. Ariadne bucked her hips at the sensation as Sebastian's tongue moved expertly between her folds. It was almost too much.
"Tell me how this feels," The brunette boy said, inserting another finger.
"It feels amazing..." Ariadne breathed out.
He started to pump faster, hitting Ariadne's sweet spot. Loud moans left her mouth as she fisted the coverlet. A knot formed in her stomach as Sebastian continued to devour her pussy. Licking, sucking, and curling his fingers inside her at just the right angle.
"Oh, fuck, Sebastian... I'm gonna cum," The young witch mewled as her legs began to shake.
As if on cue, Sebastian started suckling Ariadne's clitoris even harder. He moaned as she gave his hair a harsh tug. Her whole body tensed as Ariadne's orgasm hit her. She cried out Sebastian's name as he continued to finger fuck her, letting Ariadne ride out her orgasm. He pulled away from her core, chin glistening with her cum. Sebastian let out a low chuckle, swiping his thumb across his chin and lower lip before licking it clean.
Ariadne got off the bed on shaking legs, she reached behind herself, undoing the bodice, and letting it fall to the floor. Her breasts fell in perfect teardrops, fully on display for Sebastian to look at. He reached forward to squeeze them, but Ariadne smacked his hand out of the way.
"No, you don't get to touch them until I'm done with you," She said, pushing Sebastian down on the bed and removing his briefs.
His cock sprang free, slapping loudly against his stomach. His tip was already leaking pre-cum. Ariadne shot him a look as she kneeled in front of him.
"Well, someone's excited," She said, grabbing ahold of the base, and pumping Sebastian a few times.
She swiped her thumb over his tip, smearing his pre-cum around. She watched through her lashes as Sebastian bit his bottom lip. Damn, it was the sexiest thing to watch. A deep blush spread across his face, down his neck and chest making his freckles more prominent. Ariadne squeezed his length and watched as his eyes rolled into the back of his head as a loud groan escaped his mouth.
"I've barely even touched you, Bash," She teased, "and you're already coming undone for me."
Ariadne pressed a gentle kiss to his pinkish tip slowly going down to the base, then licking a long stripe on the underside of his cock to the tip again. She took him in her mouth and slowly started to bob her head up and down his shaft. Ariadne hollowed out her cheeks and flattened her tongue as Sebastian became a whimpering mess above her. His fingers went for her hair, undoing the messy bun Ariadne had put it in and letting it cascade down her shoulders and back. He fisted it and Ariadne moaned slightly as he tugged on it.
She looked back up again, met with the mess who was breathing heavily as she started to deep throat him.
"Oh, in Salazar's name," Sebastian moaned out, "you look so fucking pretty sucking my cock."
As Ariadne continued to suck him off, she reached his balls and started to slowly massage them. Sebastian just came completely undone.
"Ari, I'm go-" He couldn't even finish his sentence before Ariadne felt his seed hit the back of her throat.
She took it all and swallowed. She pulled herself off of his cock. She wiped her mouth of the bitter taste. She looked at Sebastian. Still breathing heavily, a fucked-out look on his face. He gestured for her to come over to him, and she did. Sebastian pulled her into his lap, his hands supporting Ariadne's arse.
"Tell me what you want, Darling," He said, his half-lidded eyes gazing into hers.
"I want you," Ariadne answered, wrapping her arms around Sebastian's necked and tangling her fingers in his hair.
He closed the gap between them, molding their lips together in a deep kiss. Ariadne returned the gesture, feeling Sebastian's hands move from her arse to her breasts, squeezing lightly. He rolled her erect nipples between his thumbs and index fingers. Pleasure coursed through Ariadne's veins at the sensation, she moaned lightly into Sebastian's mouth as their tongues danced around each other. Ariadne pulled away and trailed lovebites along Sebastian's neck and collarbone.
"You have no idea what you do to me, Silverthorne," He murmured.
"I have a few guesses," She replied, feeling his cock brush against her entrance.
Sebastian sealed their lips again and he laid Ariadne down against the pillows. His forearms place on either side of her head, supporting himself on them as he got between her legs.
"Are you ...ready for it?" Sebastian breathed out.
Ariadne brushed his hair away from his forehead, nodding her head yes. He slowly pushed inside her. Ariadne held onto Sebastian's biceps as he filled her up. Now, Sebastian wasn't huge, nor was he small. He was averaged sized with a lot of girth. Both parties moaned as they finally joined together. Ariadne didn't need time to adjust to Sebastian's size, seeing how she was already used to his thick length.
He started a slow rhythm of thrusts, pulling in and out just to lubricate his cock. He gave Ariadne a smirk, taking one of her legs and throwing it over his shoulder. Sebastian rammed into her, the new position allowing him to go even deeper. The young witch moaned loudly at this, her nails leaving red scratch marks as they dug into his back.
"Right there.... keep.... hitting.... that spot," Ariadne said barely able to form the sentence.
Sebastian only groaned in response as his head fell into the crook of her neck. He bit down and sucked the place where his head fell. The sound of skin slapping against skin rang loudly throughout the room as Sebastian thrusted relentlessly into Ariadne. Strings of curses left both their mouths. Sebastian grabbed onto the headboard as he moved.
"Fuck," He grunted, his eyes screwing shut.
In a burst of pure adrenaline, pleasure, and strength, Ariadne had flipped both her and Sebastian over. She straddled his waist as she began to ride him in a fast pace. She leaned back, gripping Sebastian's powerful thighs to hold herself up. Her chest heavy with every breath, her head fell back as her eyes closed at the amount of pleasure coursing through her body. She could feel the lavender haze creeping up on her. All she wanted to do at that moment was stay like that, with him, in this way.
Ariadne felt that familiar knot form in her stomach, Sebastian seemed to sense this and he sat up, again flipping their positions. He kissed her passionately as she came like a tidal wave on a beach. While coming down from her high, Sebastian was chasing his. She felt him pull out and roll to the side, spilling his seed on the mattress.
"That's going to be fun to clean," Ariadne chuckled as she collapsed on the pillows.
"Nothing a little charm can't fix," Sebastian added, pulling the coverlet over the both of them.
Ariadne scooted closer to him, resting her head on his chest. She used her index finger to trace constellations on Sebastian's chest. Her mind was still reeling from what just occurred. Part of her wanted this with him, another part was scared that she's hurt him.
After all, she was the one who cast the cruciatus cure on him. She was the one who cast the imperious curse on his best friend. Even if he wasn't there, Ariadne was the one who cast the killing curse on Viktor Rookwood for the curse he brought upon Anne. And the scary thing is... she loved it
All of it.
And she hated herself for it.
And yet, he stayed.
Fuck it, She thought, looking at Sebastian as he stared at the canopy top of the bed, a hand tucked under his head.
"I love you, Bash," She said.
She watched his eyes widen for a split second before he sat up and looked at her. Ariadne sat up as well, bringing the coverlet up to her chest. Her eyes anxiously searched his.
"What?" He asked, disbelief in his tone.
"I love you, Sebastian Sallow," She repeated, "I have since you covered for me in the library, so Scribner wouldn't throw the both of us in detention."
Sebastian looked awestruck before he let out a chuckle, running a hand through his messing brown tresses, "You see, I've loved you since you first introduced yourself in the Slytherin common room at the beginning of fifth year."
This time, it was Ariadne's turn to be awestruck, "Really?"
Sebastian chuckled again, "Yes. How could I not? You're gorgeous, smart, determined- a bit suicidal, I shan't lie- but it all made me fall even harder for you."
He took her hand in his, his eyes full of nothing but affection and genuine happiness, "I love you, Ariadne Jenessa Silverthorne. To the moon and Saturn."
"Bash," The witch muttered before pulling Sebastian into a kiss.
This kiss was different. Soft and tender, full of real feeling. She felt Sebastian reciprocate the kiss, cupping her face with his hand. Ariadne pulled away.
"Does that mean we're courting now?" She asked.
"Only if you want too," Sebastian answered.
"I do," Ariadne smiled.

peace | S. Sallow | Chapter One
Sebastian Sallow x F!OC
Warnings: none
Tumblr media
Rain pattered on the windows of the train as it whisked by the English and Scottish countryside. The sounds of students chattering away about their summer holidays muffled by the glass door of the compartment Ariadne shared with Sebastian. He was reading a book whilst Ariadne stared out the window, watching the water droplets slide down the glass.
She was excited to be going back to Hogwarts, yet at the same time; she felt pained. Returning as the Savior of Hogwarts. But at what cost? Certainly not the life of a beloved professor. Ariadne wondered who the school got to teach Magical Theory now that Professor Fig was gone.
"Are we going to talk about what happened a few weeks ago, or are we going to sit here in silence while you stare mindlessly out the window?" Sebastian said, flipping a page of the book he was reading.
"I've already told you, I don't know what that was," Ariadne pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Whatever it was clearly frightened you," the boy looked up from his book, his gaze focusing on her instead.
"It felt like my power was out of control. It scared me, Bash. I thought I had it under control of sorts, but when that shopkeeper put the pendant around my neck... I don't know. It's like my power grew, and so did the dark urge to use it."
Ariadne looked away, her gaze going back to the window. She wiped a stray tear from her eye. She felt Sebastian take her hand and squeeze it.
"Thank you for telling me," He said, "and thank you for letting me be with you over the summer."
The girl looked back at Sebastian, his deep brown eyes full of sincerity and something else she could not place. This time, it was her turn to squeeze his hand.
"I just couldn't bear the thought of you being alone with every thing that happened. After all, what are friends for?"
Sebastian let go of her hand and cleared his throat, "Right. Friends."
Before Ariadne got a chance to ask him what that was supposed to mean, the compartment door opened. Ominis Guant stood there, wand outstretched, the tip glowing red.
He looked a lot thinner than when Ariadne and Sebastian had seen him last. Dark circles beneath his clouded gray eyes, and his cheeks looked more hallow. On top of that, he was also a lot paler than he was at the end of term. Though there were some positives to his appearance. Ominis had gotten taller, probably taller than Sebastian. And his blonde hair was slightly longer.
"Is this car full, or is there room for one more?" He asked timidly.
Sebastian cleared his throat and set his book aside, "No, it's not full. You're more than welcome to take a seat."
Ariadne noted the awkward tension between the two boys. After all, Ominis only kept in contact with Ariadne over the summer. She knew that he spent summer holiday with his family, even though it pained him. She kept offering invitations for him to come stay with her and Sebastian. Though deep down, she knew the effort was futile, seeing how he and Sebastian weren't on speaking terms.
Ominis took the bench across from Sebastian and Ariadne. He laid his wand on the bench next to him. He looked like he was trying to decide on what to say. And so did Sebastian.
"How was your summer, Ominis?" Ariadne broke the silence.
A thin line appeared on the blond boys lips as he furrowed his brows, "It wasn't great, if that's what you want to know, Ariadne. Though you should already know that."
"Ominis, I-" Sebastian started to say, but Ominis held his hand up to stop him.
"I don't need your apologies, Sebastian, there's nothing to forgive," The blind boy said in a harsh tone.
Sebastian looked dejected, but Ominis cleared his throat.
"It's not me who needs the apology. But I'm willing to make amends after what transpired in the catacombs. But I still think that what you did, did not come without consequences. You will eventually have to face them one way or another. The cost of using Dark Magic is great. And from the letters Ariadne sent me over the summer, you're trying to come to terms with what you did, but you're still struggling with that inner turmoil and the guilt."
After Ominis was done speaking, he leaned back into the seat. Letting his head rest against the headrest, breathing out a tired sigh.
"I hope we can make amends, Ominis, I don't know what I'd do without you." Sebastian sounded grateful that he could finally start to reconcile with his oldest friend.
Ariadne smiled at this. Hopefully, this school year would let them (Sebastian and Ominis) be close as they once were.
"Now, enough about what happened last term, how summer holiday for you two?"
***
The Great Hall was alive with students and teachers once more. Food piled on the tables in mouth watering heaps and pumpkin juice filled goblets. Students chattering filled the air. Cheers from the different houses arose as first years got sorted.
Ariadne sat beside Imelda Reyes across from Sebastian and Ominis at the Slytherin table. A sense of normalcy started to settle. Something she hoped would stay for a while. Professor Black made the announcement that quidditch was back and tryouts started the following week after classes were settled.
"Are you trying out, Silverthorne?" Imelda asked.
Ariadne looked at the girl next to her, "As much as I enjoyed beating your times on a broom, I think I'll pass on quidditch."
Imelda just rolled her eyes and then turned her attention to Sebastian- who was currently stuffing his face with sheperds pie. Ariadne made a face but said nothing.
"What about you, Sallow? Still down for your seeker position?"
Sebastian stopped eating and swallowed his food. His gaze went to Imelda before smirking.
"Of course! I can't miss a chance to face off against Winterfaire when I take the golden snitch right out from under him!" He exclaimed proudly before sending a glare towards Ravenclaw's table.
Ariadne turned around to where Sebastian was glaring. It was Coulter Winterfaire. Who was sending an equally powerful glare back.
Coulter Winterfaire was in their year. Ravenclaw. Tall, windswept raven hair, milk chocolate eyes, a scar under his right eye, and angular features with Welsh accent. The Ravenclaw 'it' boy, if you must. For some reason, he and Sebastian never saw eye to eye and were constantly at each other's throats. Ariadne never knew why. Though with the brief interactions she's had with Coulter, he was a gentleman. Kind, witty, always offering a helping hand with homework and assignments. And his grades were over all the best in their year, even Amit Thakkar would double check with Coulter on some things.
"Are you going to give him another scar to match the one you gave him back in third year?" Imelda questioned, taking a drink of her pumpkin juice.
"Depends on how rough it gets," Sebastian replied with a shrug.
"You got three months of detention for that, Sebastian," Ominis commented.
"Really, three months' worth of detention?" Ariadne asked.
"Are you really that surprised, Ari?" Sebastian rested his face on one hand and chuckled, flashing that charming smile of his.
"You're insufferable," The witch rolled her eyes and continued on eating her dinner.
Mischief danced on Sebastian's eyes. Ariadne couldn't help but get lost in them. She had no idea how long she and Sebastian were looking at each other, but broke eye contact before he, too, returned to his sheperds pie.
After dinner was over, everyone went to their separate common rooms. Stepping into the Slytherin common never felt better.
The stone walls and arched ceilings, the massive windows looking out into the black lake, the green and silver decor, and the giant fireplace in the middle. The gothic architecture reminded Ariadne so much of her home back in London, almost as if she hadn't left Silverthorne Manor.
She bid Sebastian and Ominis a good night while walking with Imelda to their shared dorm room. When they entered, Ariadne fell onto her bed and sighed in relief.
"It's good to be back," She said, looking up at the canopy that hung over her bed.
"I'd say," Imelda commented, "Finally got quidditch back. I bet ten galleons that Madme Kogawa blackmailed Professor Black."
Ariadne laughed, sitting up. She tucked her legs under her as she brushed hair from her face.
"I also happened to notice that some things changed between you and Sallow. Care to share?"
This caught Ariadne off guard. Of all people, she thought Imelda would care less about how she spent her summer. She was not about to tell her roommate that she slept with Sebastian.
"Nothing happened, if that's what you want to know," Ariadne answered, "Sebastian and I are just friends."
"Right," Imelda rolled her eyes, changing into her pajamas, "Just friends don't looked each other the way you and Sebastian looked at each other over dinner."
"I don't know what you're talking about." Ariadne looked down at her hands in her lap.
She fiddled with her fingers. She always did when she was anxious or scared. It's a nervous habit she had since she was little.
"Fine, I won't press it," the Slytherin  quidditch captain said, "but get ready for bed. Classes start in the morning."
Ariadne nodded before getting ready for bed. Changing into a silk, lilac colored nightgown that reached mid thigh and had flowing lace sleeves. It was a gift from her mother before she passed away. Ariadne loved it. She always loved the color lilac. It's suited her the best, complimenting her pale skin. And she charised this piece of clothing because it was the last thing her mother ever gave her.
She climbed into bed, pulling the emerald quilt over her body. Ariadne blew the candle of the nightstand out before resting her head on the goose feather pillow and falling into a dreamless sleep.
***
"Good morning, class! And welcome to year six of charms!" Professor Ronan exclaimed excitedly as he bounded down the staircase from his office.
"Who's this energetic this early in the morning?" Sebastian yawned from his seat next to Ariadne, resting his head on one hand.
"Professor Ronan, apparently," She whispered back, twirling her wand in one hand.
Professor Ronan went over the syllabus for the year and what charms the class would be learning. Ariadne was quite intrigued that the class would start learning non-verbal charms and spells.
"One non-verbal spell is Levicorpus, though Professor Hecat will be teaching you that one," Ronan chuckled, moving around the classroom overzealous. "Though for today, you will be learning the water-making spell! Aquamenti! Now, would anyone like to volunteer to help demonstrate the- Ah, Mr. Winterfaire!"
Ariadne could practically feel the annoyance radiate off of the brown haired boy next to her as Coulter made his way to Professor Ronan. He had his wand at the ready, as the professor explained how to cast the charm. And with the wave of his wand - and the confidence only one sorted into Ravenclaw could muster - a stream of water came out of the tip of Coulter's wand.
"Excellent work! 10 points to Ravenclaw!" Ronan smiled, patting the boy on the back.
"Thank you, Professor," Coulter said before returning to his seat.
"Show off," Sebastian muttered.
"Relax, Bash, this is the only first day of classes," Ariadne chuckled.
As class progressed, Professor Ronan had the class pair up and practice the charm. Which may have resulted half of the class getting drenched from head to toe, but nothing a little drying charm couldn't fix. And as the class came to an end, Ariadne and Sebastian made their way out of the classroom, only to be stopped just outside.
"Silverthorne!"
Ariadne turned at the mention of her last name. Coulter stood there, a smile on his face and a charms textbook on hand.
"Oh, hello, Coulter!" She greeted.
"Yes, hello, Winterfaire..." Sebastian sounded annoyed.
Ariadne nudged him in the ribs as of to say 'knock it off, you twat!'. Coulter gave Sebastian a sneer. The two genuinely seemed to dislike each other. The raven haired boy turned his attention back to Ariadne, a charming smile forming on his lips.
"I was wondering if you would like to go to The Three Broomsticks with me later for a butterbeer, if Sallow here would allow it," Coulter said, gesturing towards Sebastian.
"Absolutely no-" The brunet started
"I can answer for myself, Bash!" Ariadne interrupted, glaring at Sebastian.
She turned her attention back to Coulter, "As much as I would love to do so, I have other plans."
Coulter nodded, "I see, maybe next time?"
"Maybe," Ariadne said as Coulter gave Sebastian a glare and walked away.
"What the hell was that?!" She looked up at Sebastian.
"Coulter Winterfaire is a no good git," Sebastian spat angrily.
"Unbelievable," Ariadne had to stop herself from rolling her eyes, "I'm off to Care of Magical Beasts, I'll see you at lunch."

"Our coming-of-age has come and gone
Suddenly the summer, it's clear
I never had the courage of my convictions
As long as danger is near
And it's just around the corner, darling
'Cause it lives in me
No, I could never give you peace," -Taylor Swift. Folklore. Track 15. peace.

Ariadne Silverthorne returns to Hogwarts for her sixth year, like a soldier returning half of her weight. The trauma of fifth year haunting her every waking moment. From Ranrok, the Keepers Trials, Rookwood, Harlow, Poachers, to the dark events that happened in the catacombs of Feldcroft. There is only one person whom she shares almost all this pain with. Sebastian Sallow.
After spending a summer with him- in what's probably just a summer fling- Ariadne realizes she could never bring Sebastian peace. Not with the constant fear of danger looming over the harizon.

I'm struggling to write the next chapter of my Sebastian Sallow fic. Writer's block is a real bitch these days. Not to mention, the more I think about the story the darker its going to get. It may be sunshine and rainbows now, but beware the nightmare will begin soon.

Sebastian Sallow x F!OC

It must have still been the early hours of the morning when Ariadne woke again. It was the smell of cinders and sandalwood that brought her to reality. She quickly untangled herself from Sebastian and got off the sofa, making her way back to her dorm. Ariadne found Imelda, Grace Pinch-Smedley, Nerida Roberts, and Arista Deadshadow all milling about and getting ready for classes.
It was Imelda who noticed Ariadne walk in, "And where were you?"
The girl walked over to her trunk and opened it, pulling out a clean uniform. A white cotton blouse, a gray skirt, a green Slytherin blazer, and her house robe.
"It's none of your concern," Ariadne answered, shedding off her nightgown and changing into her school uniform.
"You were gone when all of us woke up," Nerida, who was fixing her hair into its normal bun, said.
"My business is my own, again, it's none of your concern." She applied a bit of perfume, undoing the braid she had in her hair, and ran a brush through it before re-braiding it, tossing it over her shoulder.
"Oh come on, Ariadne, I saw you fast asleep in Sebastian Sallow's arms this morning in the common room when I went to use the girl's lavatory," Grace teased earning a half-hearted glare from Ariadne.
"He just helped calm me down after a nightmare. That's all. Nothing else happened. We're just friends." She felt like she was repeating herself. It was getting quite frustrating.
"You fancy him, don't you?" Imelda this time, not much to Ariadne's surprise.
"Why is it any concern of yours if I fancy Sebastian or not?"
"Because it's obvious," Imelda sighed, "it doesn't take a Ravenclaw to figure out that you fancy him."
"How is it obvious?" Ariadne felt her face flush as she faced the wall away from the girls.
"Sleeping in the common room together for one," Arista Deadshadow finally piped up, running a brush through her dark chocolate locks.
She was courting Amit Thakkar. Not only did she have beautiful chocolate hair, but she had tan skin to compliment it and a set of beautiful blue eyes. Arista and Amit certainly had a beautiful courtship from what Ariadne observed.
"Secondly, you and Sallow spent most of fifth year together," Nerida pointed out, "honestly, it wouldn't be a surprise if the two of you started courting."
She rolled her eyes and was done with the conversation. Ariadne grabbed her school bag and left the room, giving all her roommates an obscene gesture. She found Ominis in the common room conversing with a disheveled-looking Sebastian, who was struggling to do his school tie.
"Good morning, boys," Ariadne greeted.
"Oh, good morning, Ariadne," Ominis smiled.
"Ari," Sebastian said, still struggling with his tie.
"Bash, let me fix that for you," The girl chuckled, walking over to the brunette boy and fixing his tie for him.
"Shall we be off to breakfast?" Ominis suggested, taking his wand out and letting it guide him to the Slytherin common room entrance.
"Took the words right out of my mouth, Ominis!" Sebastian exclaimed as he followed his best friend out.
Ariadne lagged behind a little, watching the boys interact as if nothing happened between the two of them. A smile formed on her lips. She watched as they cracked jokes and exchanged smiles themselves.
As she walked behind them, listening to their conversation, Ariadne couldn't help but let her mind wander to the nightmare she had the night before.
*
She was back. Back at the final repository. Ariadne stood victorious over Ranrok. Her breathing was heavy, having just absorbed Isadora's power. A new sense of power overcame her. A new sense of pride.
She reveled in it, feeling the magic course through her veins. An apparition of Professor Fig appeared.
"Professor, this power! It's incredible. Think of all the things I can to do to help people!" She exclaimed, "How much of this I can use."
Fig's face was grim.
"You have disappointed me, my dear child," He said.
Ariadne froze, "But professor-"
"This power should not be wielded by someone so easily swayed by the dark arts..."
That sentence hit Ariadne hard. How did Fig know she was drawn to the dark arts? He couldn't possibly know what transpired in the scriptorium or the catacombs. She swore to Sebastian, Ominis, and even Anne, that this was between them.
"How-" was all she could say and she sank to her knees. An impossible guilt consuming her.
Fig turned his back to her, "I'm sorry, my child, but I believe I have failed in teaching you. After all, the magic my wife Miriam and George Osric died for, now lies in the hands of someone I fear will be most likely to fall victim to the dark arts."
And with that, Fig was gone. Ariadne dropped her wand. She failed the man she looked to as a father.
*
"Ariadne?" Sebastian's voice came.
She snapped out of her thoughts to look at the boy next to her, "Hmm?"
"Are you okay?" Ominis asked, who was sitting in front of her, his clouded gaze filled with worry.
"Oh, yes," She lied, "I'm just lost in thought."
Somehow, as she was lost in thought; they ended up at the great hall, and sat at Slytherin's table. She couldn't recall the steps she took to get there, nonetheless grabbed herself a tea cup and made herself some Earl Gray. Ariadne reached for a platter of Raspberry tarts and plucked one from the pile, putting it on her plate.
Sebastian sat next to her, his brown eyes fixed on her. She looked back at him as she took a bite of her tart.
"What?" She narrowed her eyes at him.
"I'm just worried about you," He answered, taking Ariadne's hand in his "Do you want to tell me about that nightmare you had last night?"
She shook her head, "Not at the moment. Later perhaps, where there aren't as many prying eyes and eavesdropping ears."
Sebastian nodded and returned to eating his breakfast. Ominis- who sat across from them- had a questioning look on his face but only shook his head and drank from his goblet of pumpkin juice.
The three Slytherins quietly ate their breakfast before heading off to classes. During fifth period in Defense Against The Dark Arts, Professor Hecat had brought out a Boggart cabinet.
"I know what you're all thinking,
Didn't we cover this in third year? Yes. But this does come up on your N.E.W.Ts." Hecat waved her wand and moved all the desks against the wall.
"Now, can anyone recall the spell used to get rid of Boggarts?" She turned to the class.
Ariadne was standing next to Natty and watched as both Sebastian and Coulter's hands went up. She chuckled and turned to her Gryffindor friend.
"This will be interesting," Ariadne whispered.
"Indeed," Natty agreed with a smile and amusement playing on her features.
"Mr. Sallow," Hecat waved to him to answer.
"Riddikulus," Sebastian answered confidently.
"That is correct. Now as you all know, Boggarts turn into the thing you fear the most. And as the spell implies you will turn the thing you fear very most into something funny!"
Ariadne's stomach dropped, and she felt the color drain from her face. They turn into the thing you fear the most?! She thought. Her thoughts ran wild as she started to fiddle with her fingers.
"Line up!" Hecat called.
One by one students lined up. And one by one students fears came to life before them. Natty's was her father, Coulter's was isolation, Amit's was disappointing his parents.
She watched as Sebastian went next. The Boggart shifted and moved before it finally transformed into a casket. An open casket. Ariadne saw Sebastian stiffen at the sight, his hands shaking slightly as he gripped his wand. Inside the casket lay Anne. She lay there pale and unmoving. His twin. Sebastian's worst fear was the death of his sister.
"Riddikulus!" Sebastian cast the spell and Anne's casket turned into a swarm of monarch butterflies.
He stepped back, taking a shaky breath before returning to the back of the class. Ariadne gave him a sympathetic look before returning her gaze to the cabinet that was now in front of her.
She pulled her wand out. It was beautiful, made of fir wood, eleven and three-quarter inches, reasonably supple, with a unicorn hair core. The wood was white and the handle was black with a silver botanical design spiraling around it.
As the boggart shifted and moved around, Ariadne's mind raced again. Her worst fear could be a number of things. Acromantulas to Godric knows what. A shiver went down her spine. And finally it takes form.
What Ariadne stares at is a mirror image of herself. Except this Ariadne wore black leather combat gear, her eyes were an ominous red glow, and a malicious smile graced her lips.
"Oh, Ariadne, dearest," Her doppelganger chuckled, stepping closer, "you're not scared of acromantulas. Despise them? sure. But you aren't afraid of them. You fear me."
Ariadne gulped, "What do you mean by me?"
The doppelganger smiled wickedly starting to circle her. The sound of the leather boots it wore rapped slowly against the floor.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about," it continued, "you're afraid of yourself."
A dark laugh made its way to its lips, "Well, more specifically, you're afraid to become the person you so crave to be."
"Lies," Ariadne stated, raising her wand to cast the spell.
"Are they? So, you don't desire to wield the power that Isadora Morganach left in that final repository? The very power that you now hold?"
"You're afraid that it will consume you. You're afraid that you failed Professor Fig by taking the power for yourself. What a true Slytherin you are..."
Ariadne shook her head, feeling tears prick at her eyes, "No, that's not true!"
"Its not?" The doppelganger stopped in front of her, squinting its eyes at her, "or are you afraid that it is true?"
"Riddikulus!"
And the doppelganger- boggart- turned into a niffler. She watched it- shaking- as it rolled around with a gold galleon in it's paws. Ariadne turned on her heels and ran out of the class. She didn't care if it was cowardly of her to do so, she's not in Gryffindor like Natty or Gerrath.
"Ari, wait!"
Sebastian.
Ariadne ignored him as she made her way out the DADA tower and up the stairs to the seventh-floor corridor. She entered her room of requirement, trying not to cry. She saw Deek standing in the middle of the room, taking care of the plants she had growing there since fifth year.
The house elf noticed her and smiled, "Deek was wondering when you'd be back! Deek's been taking care of the room and beasts for you!"
"Thank you, Deek, I appreciate it," Ariadne smiled, wiping the tears from her eyes.
***
Sebastian had been looking for Ariadne for hours. He searched the library, the great hall, the quidditch pitch, the Undercroft, and Hogsmeade. No such luck. He wanted to make sure she was okay. Apparently, Ariadne had skipped sixth period and hasn't been seen since according to Imelda.
Where the hell is she? He thought to himself.
Sebastian decided to look in the Astronomy tower. She had to be somewhere. As he walked down the seven-floor corridor a door appeared. He furrowed his brows. He knew what the door led to, but only read about it in a few books on Hogwarts.
The Room of Requirement.
Sebastian stepped through the door, where he was met with a room that very much reminded him of the Slytherin common room, but with a purple aesthetic and not green. Several potion stands, herbology plants, and few vivariums. The ambiance of the room was like walking into the Forbidden Forrest in the dead of night.
And there she stood, Alchemy book in one hand and gaze fixated on a boiling cauldron. Ariadne wasn't wearing her house robe and her braided hair was now tossed into a messy bun on top of her head.
"So, this is where you come to hide," Sebastian said, making the girl jump.
She turned to face him, shock is written all over her face. "How did you get in here?"
"I was just looking for you. I've been searching for hours, it's nearly curfew. I was going to look in the Astronomy tower when this door appeared. Is this what I think it is? The room of requirement?"
Ariadne shook her head a sighed deeply, "Yes, and I come here to get away from prying eyes and to focus on my studies."
"That's brilliant actually," Sebastian said as he approached her, "Do you want to talk about what happened in Defense Against The Dark Arts during fifth period?"
He heard a forced laugh come from the girl. She turned to look at him, her green eyes full of something Sebastian could see said 'really you came to ask a dumb question?'
Ariadne sighed and set her Alchemy textbook down, putting the flames out under her cauldron. She motions for him to follow her into one of the vivariums she had, the enormous one in the middle. Sebastian walked inside with her and was met with a beautiful field and an eternal sunset. It was beautiful. He saw a herd of Mooncalves, puffskeins rolling about, jobberknolls flying in the air, and Nifflers running amuck.
He watched as Ariadne picked up a teel colored Niffler and nuzzled her face against it, before pulling it to her chest. She walked over to Sebastian and held it out to him.
"This is Perry," She said, "you want to hold him?"
Sebastian hesitated before taking the little guy in his hands, "Yeah, sure. Why not?"
The niffler started to climb his arm and shoulder, snuggling into Sebastian's neck. He chuckled and he took hold of the Niffler and brought it to his chest.
"Little rascal, ain't he?" He chuckled.
"What, him? Never!" Ariadne sarcastically rolled her eyes with a laugh and smile that reached her eyes.
She walked further into the vivarium and took a seat on a nearby boulder. She patted the space next to her and Sebastian obliged, sitting next to her with Perry in hand. Ariadne took a galleon out of her pocket and gave it to the Niffler, who took it without question and shoved the shiny item into his pouch. Sebastian chuckled and scratched Perry's head.
"About Defense Against The Dark Arts," Ariadne started, taking a breath, "it also had to do with the nightmare I had last night."
Sebastian looked at her, he could see uncertainty swimming in her green eyes as she looked ahead of her. His full attention was now on her.
"You already know how much the power I wield scares me. I'm scared it'll consume me." Her gaze shifted to him. "I'm also afraid of the person I'll become if I gave into the power. I know that person isn't someone I want anyone to meet. I don't even want to meet that person."
Sebastian could sense the hesitation in Ariadne's voice. There was something else she wasn't telling him.
"And finally... Something thats been eating away at me since the beginning of summer." She gulped and looked away. She started to play with her fingers.
Sebastian furrowed his brow, "Ariadne, what is it? You can tell me."
"I believe I failed him," She choked out.
"Failed who?"
"Fig. I believe I failed him. He was the closest thing I had to a father since my father died. I let him down when I took that power for myself, and he died disappointed in me. I failed him as not only his student, but as the daughter he never had. I'm afraid that if i use the power Isadora Morganach left in the repository, I will have not only failed him, but the Keepers, the school."
She had tears running down her face at this point. She sniffled and hid her face in her hands. Sebastian put the niffler down and watched it scurry off. He turned back to Ariadne as she quietly sobbed into her palms.
He scooped her up in his arms, bringing her into his lap. She was straddling his waist as she wrapped her arms around his neck and sobbed into his shoulder for the second time.
"Ari, I didn't know Fig as well as you did, but I can tell you this. You did not fail him. You saved the school and defeated Ranrok in the process. I think he would be proud of the person you are. The Savior of Hogwarts." Sebastian explained, rubbing circles into Ariadne's back.
"I don't feel like the Savior of Hogwarts!" She pulled back to look at him. "I feel like a fucking train wreck. And it's only a matter of time before I go off the bloody rails."
The boy got an idea then, he cupped her face with one hand.
"What if I helped you learn to control this power? So you don't have to be afraid of it?"
"What? Sebastian, I could hurt you or worse... I-I, I'd have to think about it."
Sebastian used his thumb to wipe away her tears, "Don't worry, love, you don't have to give me a definite answer right now."
Ariadne nodded, "Merlin, look at me. I'm a disaster."
"If it helps, I think you still look gorgeous."
"Shut up, no I don't."
"Yes, you do."
"Bash..." Ariadne gave him a half-hearted glare.
"What? I'm not lying!" He chuckled, "you've always been gorgeous to me."
"Sebastian..." She looked at him with a serious look.
"Ariadne..." He returned the look, holding her close.
Sebastian watched as Ariadne's eyes flickered to his lips and back up. She bit her lip. He brought his other hand up to cup her face. The look she was giving him was making it very hard to control himself and the way she was straddling him. Godric, he hope she didn't notice his little.... friend.
She surged forward, pressing her lips to his. Sebastian easily returned the gesture like he had all those other times over the summer. Her lips felt soft against his rough ones. His eyes closed, letting out a low moan as Ariadne's fingers woven themselves into his hair, tugging slightly. He glided his tongue across her bottom lip, asking for permission. She obliged and Sebastian slipped his tongue into her mouth. She tasted of Earl Gray and honey.
He pulled away, looking into her eyes, "Shall we take this somewhere else?"
Ariadne nodded and got off his lap, taking Sebastian by the wrist and leading him out of the vivarium. She took him down a corridor in the room of requirement that opened up into another room.
This one also felt like the Slytherin common room with the purple aesthetic and not green. One side was a group of couches and chairs with coffee table in the middle. On the otherside was a small library of sorts and few tables with books and papers scatter on them. And back of the room was a four poster bed with lilac colored pillows and coverlet.
"I use this when I want to get away from people. Don't worry, Deek the house elf shouldn't bother us tonight." Ariadne quickly explained as she stopped a few feet from the bed.
"It's perfect," Sebastian said before capturing her lips with his in a heated kiss.

"And that's all for today! Now remember, I want a seven inch essay on Glumbumbles by Friday of next week! Class dismissed!" Professor Howin shouted as the class got ready to leave.
Ariadne had partnered with Poppy Sweeting for the class again. Thought the girls' expertise on magical creatures and beasts was something to not be ignored. Especially after the whole adventure with the dragon egg and golden snidgets last term.
"Aren't they just adorable!" Poppy exclaimed happily, still admiring the Glumbumbles in their glass enclosures.
Ariadne looked at the gray insects, grimacing. At least it wasn't acromantulas. She had enough experiences those to last a lifetime. Though something tells her, she would still be dealing with those awful creatures.
"If you say so, Poppy," Ariadne sighed.
"Oh, Ariadne, I know how you feel about insects and arachnids," the Hufflepuff girl giggled.
"At safe distance away where they can't bother me!"
The girls started to walk back to the castle. Advanced Potion Making was next, a class that Ariadne had been excited to begin (other than alchemy). As she and Poppy approached the classroom, Ariadne saw Sebastian walk out, hands in his pockets as he stalked out of the classroom with Ominis in toe. The sour look on his face only softened when he caught sight of Ariadne. But the next person to leave the potions classroom was none other than Colter Winterfaire. No wonder Sebastian is in a foul mood, She thought.
As she and Poppy entered the classroom, they made their way over to a free table. Ariadne took her potions textbook out and laid it next to her cauldron.
"Now, time for a class I'll actually enjoy," She smiled, fixing her brown-auburn hair into a braid to keep it out of her face.
"What? You didn't enjoy Care of Magical Beasts?!" Poppy faked hurt.
"Oh, come off it! I love that class, I just love potions a lot more."
Suddenly, Garreth Weasley was there. His hair was a lions main of red curls, green eyes twinkling with mischief, and a wide grin plastered on his freckled face.
"Mind if I take one of the open spaces here?" He asked.
"Not all, Garreth," Poppy replied, "the more the merrier."
"Then you won't mind if I take the last place!" Imelda took the spot across from Ariadne.
"Nope!" Always the optimist, Poppy Sweeting.
There were the sounds of heavy out of sync footsteps. The class turned and saw Professor Sharp limping in. Some of the girls in class had dreamy looks on their faces as he went by. Ariadne had no idea why they found him attractive, given the fact that he was old enough to their father.
"Good day, class, and welcome back for a year of Advanced Potions. Seeing how you are all able to continue the subject in sixth year, you got an Outstanding on your OWLs for potions- some of you i'm surprised made it into this course," Sharp began, aiming a look at Garreth, "and today we'll be looking into and brewing the potion called Draught of Living Death. This can be found on page twenty-seven of your textbooks."
Ariadne opened her textbook and flipped to the corresponding page, reading the information tab in the corner.
The Draught of Living Death brings upon its drinker a very powerful sleep that can last indefinitely. This draught is very dangerous if not used with caution ... This is an extremely dangerous potion. Execute with maximum caution.
"Now, what would be the correct antidote if one were to consume this potion?"
Ariadne raised her hand.
"Ms. Silverthorne," Sharp acknowledged.
"Wiggenweld potion, sir," She answered.
"That is correct. Ten points to Slytherin."
The girl smiled to herself, a bit of pride swelling up inside. What a Slytherin thing to do, but then again, if one was sorted into Slytherin, feeling prideful was guaranteed. Ariadne had a vast knowledge of all sorts of potions and alchemical ingredients. When she wasn't fooling around with Sebastian over the summer, Ariadne was cooped up in her late father's study and alchemy lab. She would go over the hundreds of alchemy and potions books. Studying the formulas and components one needed for something somehow became a coping mechanism of sorts. Ariadne even concerned finding a possible cure for Anne Sallow in the Alchemy books her father owned, but shelved the idea for a later date seeing how she -like Sebastian- would have to dive into the depths of dark magic, especially when it came to alchemy.
"I must ask that you all proceed with caution when you start to brew this potion, especially you, Mr. Weasley." Sharp again gave Garreth another look.
"Loud and clear, professor," the Gryffindor boy chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his neck.
"You may begin!"
Ariadne got to work, taking the necessary ingredients out. She carefully looked over the instructions, mindful of how much of each component to add. The Sopophorous bean was a bit of a pain in the arse- the damn thing would not hold still for nothing. She ended up crushing it instead of cutting because it was driving her mad. Ariadne eventually removed her house cloak and loosened her tie because the humidity from the potion brewing was almost unbearable, and she could feel the sweat rolling down her forehead. There was the sound of a minor explosion next to her. Looking up from her cauldron, Ariadne found that Garreth Weasley- face covered in black soot- must have done something wrong to render the explosion. She had to cover her mouth to keep a laugh from erupting.
"Congratulations, Weasley, it's your first explosion of term!" Imelda said sarcastically.
Her normally neat ponytail was now loose with several strands of hair hanging down in her face. Garreth sent her a glare as he wiped his face with the sleeves of his robe and flipped Imelda the bird.
Poppy and Ariadne looked at each other and chuckled before returning to their work. As she finished her potion, Ariadne went to get Professor Sharp. He looked at her brew.
"Impressive, your skills in potions are truly outstanding," Sharp commented, "I'd say one drop of this, and it will kill us all."
Again, pride swelled within her, "Hard work and dedication pays off. Would you agree, professor?"
"I would, another ten points to Slytherin."
Ariadne smiled to herself, and as class ended, she bid farewell to Poppy and headed to her next class. As the day progressed and classes ended, she was stopped outside of the Alchemy class. It was Coulter again.
"What do you want, Coulter?" She asked.
"I just wanted to see if you changed your mind about butterbeer now that Sallow isn't around," He said, a genuine smile on his face.
"Like I said, I have plans. Professor Weasley wants to speak with me now that classes are over," Ariadne said.
Coulter nodded, "I understand, I just wanted to get to know you better, seeing how you're the Savior of Hogwarts and everything."
Ariadne quirked an eyebrow, "What's that supposed to mean?"
The Welsh boy just chuckled, "Nothing."
Then he slipped away, down the corridor, and disappeared in the throng of students. Ariadne just shook her head and proceeded to Professor Weasley's classroom in the transfiguration courtyard.
As she arrived, Professor Weasley was at her desk, going over some papers. She looked up and spotted Ariadne enter.
"Ah, Ms. Silverthorne, how lovely to see you, my dear," She greeted, getting up.
"Hello, Professor Weasley. You wanted to speak with me?"
"Yes, how are you adjusting since the events of last term?"
Ariadne took a seat at one of the desks. She let out a sigh and folded her arms. "I would say I'm doing well, but that would be a lie."
Professor Weasley gave her a concerned look, "What do you mean by that?"
"It's just with all that happened with Ranrok and Rookwood, not to mention losing Fig," Ariadne took a shakey breath, her green eyes looking at the desk, "I know, what i did saved the school, but I wish I could've done more, maybe I could've save Professor Fig."
"Ariadne, you needn't have to blame yourself for what happened, I'm sure Fig is proud of the student you have become," Professor Weasley placed a hand on Ariadne's shoulder.
She gave the professor a weak smile. She wasn't so sure that was true. Ariadne saw the look of disappointment on Figs face when she decided she wanted to keep the power for herself and learn to use it. He died being disappointed in her. She just knew it. And now the power she holds is wanting to be used.
"How are you adjusting to your new classes?" Professor Weasley changed the subject, sensing the grim atmosphere.
"I'm adjusting quite well, I really enjoy alchemy," Ariadne answered, "it's something that I find fascinating."
"It's from my understanding that your late father was an Alchemist, am I correct?"
"Yes, my father was dedicated to his study. He was obsessed with finding ways to make one's life better through alchemy. My mother was a potioneer, she wrote several books on her findings with potions she's created. I guess you can say my parents ambitions rubbed off on me."
Ariadne smiled fondly at the memory of her parents. She lost them both when she was eight years old. They left for a business trip somewhere in Ireland, leaving a young Ariadne in the care of her Aunt Marjorie. They were ambushed by dark wizards on their way back and killed in the process. Marjorie did her best to take care of the young witch and had taken her traveling around the world. Ariadne lived with her until she turned thirteen and decided to take residence back at Silverthorne Manor.
Ariadne's father had attended Durmstrang and her mother attended Beauxbaton, so it was only natural that Ariadne thought she'd receive letters from those schools when she turned eleven. But no such luck. She thought she was a squib for five years. So, it wasn't until Ariadne was fifteen that she received her letter to Hogwarts, did she realize she did have the ability to create magic, let alone the ability to see and use Ancient Magic. Her Aunt Marjorie was the only one on her mother's side that attended Hogwarts and was friends with Professor Fig.
"I'm sure your Aunt is proud of you," Professor Weasley said, "I remember the days Marjorie was in my class, best friends with Professor Merabel Garlick, always up to something those two."
Ariadne chuckled, "Aunt Marjorie never told me she was friends with Professor Garlick."
"They were inseparable during their years at Hogwarts. Though Marjorie was also close to Professor Fig," the Professor moved back over by her desk.
"That I did know. He was her favorite professor." Ariadne got up from her desk.
Professor Weasley smiled warmly, "Thank you for coming to see me today, Ms. Silverthorne, I'm sure you have other things to do now."
"Anytime, Professor."
With that, Ariadne left the classroom, making her way back to the Slytherin common room.
