His hands tightened around her waist, drawing her, if possible, closer, closer, until not even a sliver of space remained in which to breathe or think or move — and yet still she leaned into him, hands braced on his chest, fingers curling into his jumper — and his resulting moan was so low in his throat that maybe she only imagined it — and she lifted her face, just a touch, a tiny inclination, until the tip of her nose touched his lips — so warm — and he swallowed, hard, his Adam's apple bobbing in his throat, and then his nose grazed hers —
