Do you love Zonic? Do you run the official Betty Butterfly stan account? Do you think Ebony should be more popular? Do you just like voting in polls? Well this is the tournament for you! This tournament will pit lesser known Sonic characters against each other, but there's a catch: all of the contestants' identities will be secret. It doesn't matter if you don't know any of the characters; vote for whoever's description you find most compelling

These polls are just for fun! Campaign for your favorites but no hate

What constitutes an obscure character? I'm playing pretty loose with this one. As long as they aren't part of their series' main cast, or a recurring game character, you're probably fine (e.g. Sally is part of the main Archie/SATAM cast, but Hope would be fine)

Characters can be from any official Sonic media

fav/most interesting/most surprising submission so far?

I'm gonna go with Gear from World War Blue for favorite, because I was hoping someone would submit that obscure weirdo. Most interesting/surprising is either Hocke-Wulf (or whatever his name is), because I never really thought of him as a Sonic duplicate; or Eric the Echidna, because who the hell even is that? He's listed as being from the Virgin Books, which did not alleviate my confusion (although I've now read his wiki page)

Rules

The character must have been referred to as royalty at least once, either in their piece of media or through Word of God. Dethroned royalty counts!

Our third place winner, Simpson the Cat from Sonic the Comic!

He's like a 1930s rubber hose cartoon character in a series where no one else is a rubber hose cartoon. He can break the fourth wall only if it's funny a la Roger Rabbit. These powers are all in service to breaking out of prison for an unspecified crime, and then becoming a pirate. Everyone on the crew hates him and tells him to die

Gold the Tenrec from the Archie comics!

She appeared in the Silver Age arc, which was a Silver focused arc set in the future

She's a telepath who can make other people hear her thoughts and is strong enough to have been used as a power source. She originally came from another universe, but fled to this dimension when her world was destroyed. She's got the coolest little outfit ever. She is so nervous but has an incredibly cool reveal when she first appears

She changed her style repeatedly. She defeated thousands of badniks single-handedly, and has some spunk to her! In the end though, she was trapped on a barren world in another dimension

Happy pride month!!!! To celebrate, this account will be holding a special event while the longer rounds are running. I'd like to invite all of you to tell me your LGBTQ+ Sonic headcanons. Headcanons regarding contestants who have been eliminated are preferred, but characters who aren't in the tournament are perfectly fine too. I want to hear about the characters you never get to talk about and the characters you can't stop talking about! You can include why you headcanon them that way or just give the headcanon on its own.
