I enjoy the daily existential crisis of the fact that the needed changes will never be implemented when theres no economic drive to do so. Instead, the bulk of the released gmo directly bolsters monsanto et al which drives negative public opinion of the technology when it could be used to actively used to feed & actually nourish people and stop farmers from being actively fucked over by climate change, pathogens and large seedtech companies. And then smaller governments only see those aspects, see public fear and outright ban it. People dont see how absolutely necessary it is to introduce transgenic produce before its too late and its depressing

via Today Bharat The North Zone Task Force, in a joint operation with Agriculture Department officials, nabbed two persons on charges of illegal transportation and sale of unauthorised Herbicide Tolerant (HT) cotton seeds near the Secunderabad Railway Station here on Friday. Police seized about 2,005 kg of seeds packed in 50 bags, all put together worth Rs 32.5 lakh from them. The duo had illegally procured and transported the cotton seeds from Gandhi Nagar in Gujarat to Secunderabad through Railway (Cargo) Service without any valid invoice. The arrested persons were R Rajanikanth, managing director of Omkar Seed Tech Private Limited and a resident of Chaitanyapuri and B Mahesh, an auto trolley driver from Jaipuri Colony. According to the police, Rajinikanth, a diploma holder in agriculture studies and an MBA degree holder as well, had earlier worked for a pesticide and seed company and gained knowledge about the business. In 2003, he established his own firm, Omkar Agritech, at Lenin Estates in Abid Road and sold agricultural seeds. It was again renamed as Omkar SeedTech Private Limited. Apart from this, he was also the Editor of lsquo;Sedya Phalam Agriculturersquo;, a monthly magazine on agriculture. ldquo;He plotted to earn money by selling unauthorised HT cotton seeds in Kharif season and contacted a seed trader Bharath Pate, who runs a seed unit in Gujarat. He first bought one kg of the seeds for Rs 500 and transported them through Railway Cargo from Ahmedabad to Secunderabad,rdquo; said Anjani Kumar, Police Commissioner, Hyderabad. The cotton seeds were taken to his processing, packaging and storage unit at Balampally village in Yadadri-Bhongiri district. ldquo;He then pack them into small sachets of 450 grams each and delivered to sub dealers and distributors for Rs 730. Depending on the demand and the customers, he also exported to various districts across the State. He thus cheated farmers and customers claiming the seeds to be genuine,rdquo; the Commissioner said. Officials said there was no approval from the GEAC (Genetic Engineering Appraisal Committee) for sale and sowing of HT cotton seeds throughout India. It is a violation of the Environment Protection Act. Following credible input, the Task Force intercepted the auto trolley near the Secunderabad Railway Station and nabbed the duo, who, along with the seized material were handed over to the Gopalpuram police for further investigation.

Brief:  Corproate Video needed for 3D visual Company We were asked to help with a new corporate video for a 3D and virtual reality company based in the beautiful Malvern Hills. Challenges The corporate video had to give a flavour of all the services that SEEDTECH provide, whilst ensuring it didn’t become an epic short film…they do a lot of great stuff! We had a couple of meetings with the SEED team to go over ideas. From our initial meetings we could see that they had a lot of projects and that it could be easy to fall into the trap of including everything. Having too much information could dilute the message and create confusion, which we definitely wanted to stay away from. Solution: We decided it would help if there was a script, which would be narrated by a professional voice over artist. The script would help tell the story of how SEED came about, what they did and what the future holds. We then edited together a collection of their work as well as take out the drone and get some aerial shots of their head quarters in the Malvern Science Park. The result is a seamless story that gives the potential new client all the information they will need whilst enjoying the visuals from their work. As always we thoroughly enjoyed working with SEEDTech and wish them lots more success in the future.
