Madison is a great little city which still offers its residents a unique suburban hometown feeling.  Madison gives priority to safety, comfort and a small-town atmosphere and has been a very popular choice for retirees. In fact, Madison’s retirement program offers senior adults a good number of recreational, educational, and cultural opportunities and programs which makes Madison one of only 13 certified retirement communities in Mississippi.

Here I am as you can see in the videos looking down at people walking nearby unaware I’m up a tree. Anyway Climbing trees as an adult is quite different compared to when you were a child. Children are natural climbers and don’t think about injury and accidents that they may have are very unlikely to be the slightest bit serious compared to broken bones that may affect the health. I should know in that while I have not sustained serious injury I have fallen or slipped. However in my early teens I did fall 20-30 feet I landed on a bench on my back and was able to walk my bike home. Basically at that age it was just about aches and pains so today over the past year or so at looking at climbing trees as a means of fitness I am extremely aware of how I climb, the type of tree I may climb and the weather that could impact my climb negatively. All of these factors I take into account when I climb. During my climb up a trunk Im testing the resilience of my weight on a branch whether Im hanging, gripping or putting my whole weight down or just my hand or foot. Im aware of every part of my body and its respective position to a tree trunk/branch be it leaning or to, gripping, hanging off etc. Follow me to learn how you may climb trees more safely than if you tried on your own without the experience. The following videos were done on a Cherry Laurel. It is just one of the trees you may see me climbing regularly. You can find me often in Trent Park Enfield and on occasion other London Parks.
