Does anyone else find it interesting that whenever the main antagonists in Hazbin Hotel talk about/to Charlie, they always address her as Lucifer's descendant instead of her actual name?

It emphasizes how they think Charlie's only importance is being descended from someone important. They don't acknowledge the power, agency, or identity that she possesses herself and only see her as an extension/instrument of her father. But as we see in the show, she demonstrates that she is so much more!

Just an interesting detail I thought I'd talk about.

HAZBIN FINALE SPOILERS!!!!!!

One little thing that really grabbed me in the Hazbin finale is this:

At the very end we get this huge shock of, "HOLY HELL THE HOTEL WORKS!! THEY CAN REDEEM!"

But what really grabbed my attention and jus made me sob even harder was Emily.

Look at her excitement. The sheer joy on her face.

Sera is confused, possibly uncomfortable, and maybe even scared.

But not Emily.

Look at that smile and those hands right in front of her mouth like she's gasping. She's shocked and excited and joyful and so very over the moon while Sera seems to be (possibly) the opposite.

Emily has my heart 🩵🩵🩵

song: би-2 — школа танцев (with orchestra). this song is about expressing the feelings through dance, which is very difficult for storyteller, but extremely worth being with their loved one at least for a moment! i LOVE it. i associate it very much with luis, especially after he actually danced in the dlc 🕺 strongly recommend listening full version

Something I noticed about Adam's Wings (Hazbin Hotel)

They're always folded in like a really specific away, close to the sides rested comfortably under the arms

You can compare it to the other angels and their wings like Lute and the other Seraphim. Adam has his wings out sometimes just like them but as far as I know this is another way to differentiate his character

Very noticeable next to lute, is it like a laid back/strict kind of thing?

It's just cool that there's like nobody talking about this it's like the only thing I could think about whenever he was in a scene lolll

THE CURVE? THE COMPARISON? It can't be becuase his wings are big, maybe that's a part of it but the seraphim have large wings and they posture them just like lute (and all the other angels in the background)

IS HE THE ONLY BIRD MODE? IS THAT IT? IS ADAM JUST PART BIRD

Now, I shall conquer Helluva Boss! I think my most favorite to draw from this set was probably Rosie, but Carmilla was fun too.

FINALE PART OF "FINALE"

The battle was over and Hell had won. Hell WON… Some had fallen but they WON.

The second Vaggie set Charlie down on the ground after saving her, Charlie sprayed a wave of fire out from her mouth in a mighty roar, shooting it up into the sky.

She was ANGRY, some got away, THEY’RE ALIVE!! 

ANGELS GOT AWAY! THIS ISN’T OVER! CHARLIE DIDN’T KILL EVERYONE AND HEAVEN WILL BE BACK! 

Vaggie: Charlie-! Calm down! It’s over!

CALM DOWN!? She can’t calm down SHE WON’T CALM DOWN! HOW WAS IT OVER SO SOON!? THERE WAS STILL SO MUCH TO BE FINISHED! SO MANY LIVES SHE DIDN’T END YET!

Charlie fucking SLAMS her fist into the ground- 

BOOOOOOM!!!!

Charlie made a huge crater, the force of her single assault shook the ground beneath their feet with a 20 mile radius 

Charlie was huffing and puffing, smoke seethed out from between clenched teeth. A firm hand on her shoulder made her snap her eyes towards the owner, a growl bubbled from her throat and- “Charlie,” Vaggie’s voice was firm, “Stop.”

Vaggie was probably the only person who knew Charlie’s anger, the only person who REALLY KNEW how much of an issue it truly could be. She knew how out of hand it could get, how easily it could come about and how dangerous it had the potential to be (just look at what she did to…). She knew when to let Charlie let it out and when to nip it in the bud.

Charlie had already done too much. 

Vaggie’s words seemed to extinguish her fire completely. Charlie turned her eyes down to her hands. Her bloody, GOLDEN hands…

(Charlie killed Adam. He’s dead, because of HER. One of the only people in Heaven who even had the SLIGHTEST ounce of agreement to want an end to the Exterminations. Had she just ruined her only chance of getting this idea to work…?)

Hiccups and sobs filled her ears from above her. Vaggie, she was crying.

That angel, Lute, they had history, didn’t they..?

Just as all their embraces happen, they weren’t exactly sure who initiated it but before either of them knew it, Vaggie was on the ground with Charlie. Their arms, sleeves torn, bruised and cracked skin, wrapped around each other. Fists clenched and grabbing as much of the other as they possibly could. 

The battle was over.

For now.

The first ever Extermination that ended with the Exorcists fleeing. 

They had WON…

But…

(Looking at the ruins that surrounded them, their friends who’ve died, their friends who were badly injured, the hotel, their house, all completely decimated… The guilt and shame they both carried, guilt and shame that would stay with them for the rest of their long lives…)

It didn’t feel like it.

Everything was destroyed. 

But it could always be rebuilt...

Sir Pentious' Death

So there's something glorious about Sir Pentious' death being INglorious.

It proves that redemption isn't about success.

What makes Sir Pentious worthy of Heaven isn't that he hurt Adam with his final attack. That'd be one thing, but this is Heaven, not Valhalla; great and epic feats of warfare are not what earns one a ticket to the Pearly Gates.

It is the courage and willingness to die to save others- i.e. not the act itself, but the decision to perform the act- that is the mark of glory, that evinces the greatness that makes redemption possible.

And we've even seen him develop this courage in a smaller subplot: look how he started out with talking to Cherri in the last episode!

But eventually he got the gumption to tell Cherri how he felt, in the most dramatic way possible.

Sir Pentious changed, and THAT change is what propelled him to make the decision to risk his life- a risk that became entirely real- to save his friends.

Letting Adam wipe out Sir Pentious, beyond being a good way to really establish just how damn STRONG Adam really was, shows that his redemption wasn't about Sir Pentious' success.

It was about Sir Pentious' heart, who he was inside.

And it was enough to earn him not just Heaven, but to appear there before the Seraphim themselves.

And you can see the heart on his design, on his bowtie!
