I got an overwhelming amount of positivity towards sharing the familial lineage of our AU’s cast….so allow me to share these two!

Meet Valentine Galeforce and Gold Copperbottom

Gold Copperbottom was born and raised a Toppat. Though not interested in crime, he greatly valued the feeling of having a loyal community of fellow Toppats that would have his back. He was rather high ranking due to his hard work and problem solving skills, and though the leader at the time- Sir Wilford IV- knew he was too hesitant and fearful to ever lead the Toppat Clan, he had a soft spot for him. Randy Radman was the Right Hand Man at the time, though Wilford also made it painfully clear that he would never be leader either- as he was too airheaded and reckless. The only reason he had his position was because Wilford acknowledged that his strict, uptight attitude needed a young spunky soul to balance it out.

Terrence Suave was friends with both Randy and Gold, and began to suggest to Randy that they kill Wilford and have Randy take his place. Randy wasn’t sure at first, but was quickly sold on the idea and was greatly encouraged by it- as Wilford’s comments did sometimes ruin Randy’s self esteem. Gold, who respected Wilford greatly, discouraged this plan- but always hesitant and endlessly afraid, he kept his mouth shut. Wilford loved to drink, and so Suave and Randy devised a plan to sneak poison into Wilford’s drink. They succeeded, and Randy took over with Suave as his right hand.

Gold, in the meanwhile, met a government agent named Valentine Galeforce, daughter of General Hubert Galeforce, when she imprisoned him for interrogation. He was eventually freed, but continued to meet up with her in private. When Suave discovered his best friend’s actions, he accused him of being a traitor and reported him to Randy- but Randy was always an airhead and was, of course, also Gold’s best friend- so he did nothing.

Randy Radman would eventually die by what was alleged to be suicide….but whatever happened scared Gold so greatly that he finally fled the Toppat Clan. He went on to marry Valentine, and the two eventually had a child- Reginald. A couple of years later, Valentine’s sister would pass away- leaving behind her young son Charles, who Gold and Valentine quickly took into their home. The two kids grew older together, with Reginald- neat, serious, quiet- growing to resent the boisterous talkative Charles, who could do no wrong. Their parents did not favor either child, nor give one more attention that the other- but due to Charles’s circumstances, they could often be a little too soft on him.

Gold and Valentine loved Reginald deeply, but perhaps he needed it expressed in a different way- or he felt as though no one took him seriously due to his parents’ sweet and happy attitudes, something Charles ironically seemed to inherit more than their biological child. Gold had seen many, many things- and he wanted to make sure his kids never had to. …and Reginald couldn’t stand being around a family that never seemed to be sad when he himself did not have that endless positivity.

Reginald was not evil, nor necessarily resentful- just frustrated.

Suave eventually met a 16-17 year-old Reginald….seeming to know a lot about him and his father. He was promised respect, a community, people who understood him….and he eventually accepted. Gold and Valentine didn’t know where their son went, and were absolutely devastated.

A few months passed, and Suave decided that Reginald needed one final test before he could officially become a Toppat…..there was a masquerade ball taking place in a large venue in the city, and he wanted Reginald to blow it up. Reginald was hesitant- scared- ….so much like his father. But he eventually agreed to it.

Valentine and Gold, among many others, passed away that day.

Suave knew they were there- Reginald didn’t. Charles would spend the rest of his life under Galeforce’s care, the two of them growing more and more resentful towards the Toppat Clan….

…..and the Toppat who killed Gold and Valentine.

it is! a Henry Stickmin au! taking place in our Limoliverse setting, which is the catch-all name for.. several stories we haven't made any content of except character designs and incoherent tumblr posts. um. hm. WELL the part that matters is that everybody is aliens!

it's a very loose adaption of the whole series, except with the twist being that henry is jumping between routes willy-nilly and potentially even creating brand new ones as he goes thanks to breaking things in unexpected ways. you know how it is with spaghetti. also there's a lot of background worldbuilding that we are very bad at actually implementing

(also it has an askblog! @stickmolus is in a weird limbo state on account of the exhaustion and my difficulty to keep up an ongoing interactive project, but its fun to read and i still think about picking it back up. i want to so bad. i am my own worst enemy)

quick hits:

Henry is.. something! nobody knows what his species is, including himself. he just straight up spawned one day and immediately began doing crime. this immediately got the attention of the CCC, especially once he started pulling out every power and item out of his back pocket and launching between timelines at random.

everyone's response to him is some form of panic on account of him being an Unauthorized Fucking Thing. speaks english but also writes in minecraft galactic and can make nether portal noises. he's not mute but there's a pretty big language barrier he's trying to work around and when he is able to talk to people he's pretty sparse with words. his head is weirdly shaped and i admire max's ability to actually Make A Whole Ass Sculpture Of This Guy oh my god i just looked over at my shelf and got emotional

i did animation memes with all 3 of triple threat and henry's is RENARD!

Charles is a pilot for the Limolian military and is certified in both air and space travel! good for him. he's a limolus, which is kinda the "mascot species" for the setting seeing as its. named after them. they've got your basic run-of-the-mill psychic powers tropes and are heavily inspired by Giegue from the Mother series! i could talk about them for a very long time. LET'S TALK ABOUT CHARLES.

charles was stationed on earth for a while and as a result is considered kinda Weird because he picked up a lot of earth culture stuff. he's fluent in both english and lilio so he's henry's translator, although his translation is pretty loose and skips details and basically he is not reliable no matter how hard he tries. i love him

his animation meme is BAM BAM! and it was really really fun to make. i love drawing charles i love thinking abt charles he is My Boy

ELLIE oh my god this drawing doesnt have her tattoos. what the hell. ellie is ALSO a limolus! they can be colours besides red its just that ellie and charles are both red. anyway. she's very good at telekinesis because canon ellie already uses the force, so that's her solution to most problems. her relationship with henry is a bit rockier from the get-go due to a communication barrier on Several Levels, but theyre able to get along! ..in some routes. oops.

uhhhh she's actually got some pretty intense backstory that hasnt come up yet because Ellie Has Not Appeared On The Blog At All for the love of god why did i pick the order i did its gonna be FOREVER until we see ellie AUGH. but she got locked up in the wall for some Pretty Serious Crimes (like uh. treason?) and even in timelines where she joins up with charles there's some friction because of that.

Reginald's anatomy is terrible and i hate drawing him. also he's a musae, which are very long/tall and very venomous. the toppats overall are a ragtag group of people of various species and various backgrounds, in stark contrast to the govt which is like 90% limoli. also he's a pathetic noodle of a man but that doesn't stop him from being a tricky bastard

i didn't animate him but he shows up in RENARD for like 5 seconds if that counts

[Henry Stickmin Collection - Facing the Facade Collab AU]

A deceiving and complex story revolving around an alternate version of the Special Brovert Ops Route. Revolves around two opposing sides, the Government and the Toppat Clan!

One is the Government's cheerfully happy ace pilot, while the other is a pretty serious Elite Toppat. Or should I say that one is a manipulative Toppat Leader, and the other a polite but shy Government's double agent.

Those two would be the fallen angel Charles Calvin, and the hylian of courage Sven Svensson. As they are shown on one side, but actually on the other behind the scenes.

Caught up in facing the facade as they are joined by several allies and left by particular foes. And while both sides are at each other's throats, it will soon become apparent that a new formidable enemy will soon emerge!

After a good amount of thoughts, I decided to remake the THSC Facade Collab AU 🎀

The aforementioned concept will be similar to the first version of this particular AU, but also given a bit more depth with the characters showcased in the story 💞

As of now I'm planning to post it as a fanfic via Wattpad and AO3, and eventually get a remade version of the comic as it will be posted on other platforms and not just Instagram 💙

Valiant Together (Request; Stickvin)

Request: So Charles x Henry, with the Valiant Hero timeline, but with a small twist

Basically, Henry remembers the different timeline endings and had gone through the Valiant Hero ending before, so he's just going along with it until they get to the Escape Pods. Henry seems to freeze and stands there for a bit till the Tophats get there (the one that dragged Henry out of the Pod and.... ya know) and once he hears them he immediately shoves Charles into the pod and shuts it. Henry does survive cuz I do want some happiness and not just endless angst

I had two different versions from that point in my head, and I'll just throw them out (you don't have to use either one, just givin' it out) which are this: 1. Charles actually grabs Henry and pulls him into the pod as well before the doors close, or 2. Henry gets into another pod in time.

As the loud fiery explosion of the Toppats orbital station settled down to a light sizzle in the empty vacuum of space neither man managed to say much during their descent back to Earth.

"That. That wasn't the greatest of plans…" 

Taking in deep, shallow breath, Henry shakily nodded, turning to face the man who sat on the opposite side of the pod with him. 

"It wasn't. At all" Rubbing his scrunched up face over and over again Henry shook off the awful nagging feeling bubbling up in his stomach. "Are you alright?" 

"Oh yes. I am. I'm totally fine. Don't worry about me" Charles weakly smiled, lazily swinging his legs. 

"You were right though earlier. That wasn't the smartest move on either of our parts… We could've gotten hurt or died back there. We almost did…" 

"But we didn't, did we?" 

Dropping his hands onto his lap with a soft thump Henry slipped a frustrated sigh past his lips, "Still. It matters. What if something bad were to happen to you and I couldn't do anything about it? I wouldn't be able to live through that pain again"  

"Again? Henry... I don't understand?" The pilot stood up and he struggled to stay still due to the pod's natural shakiness, "I know you're scared. I am too. Shitting bricks to be honest" 

Somehow managing to walk over without falling was a success in Charles' book as he plops down beside Henry, placing his hand delicately on the man's lap. 

"You can talk to me. We have time before we land" Looking at Henry with big puppy eyes, he knew it was working in making the ex-thief relax. 

"It's difficult to explain" Immediately he grasped at Charles' hand, squeezing it lightly to ease his nerves, "Well, I've been having these… Recurring nightmares… They're mostly about you. You dying in situations like this and I couldn't do anything to stop it" 

Swallowing the sickeningly bile down his throat Henry stared out the clear window unable to bear the thoughts swimming in his mind. "The most recent…" Now he was struggling to find the right words that for a split second he grew tense, voice croaking at the next sentence, "... It was like this. You were left behind. I was stuck here… I can only help but to watch helpless as you die in that exact explosion" 

Serious in a way Henry had never seen on Charles before when he turned to face the pilot, he was uncertain whether what was said was the correct move, "I'm sorry you have to deal with that, Hen. The only thing I can say is that we're here. Safe and still kicking. And I won't go anywhere, I'll make sure. You can never ever get rid of me"   

His stern facial expression then changed dramatically to a softer look that Henry was much more familiar with, fonder if he puts it as he nudged a bit nearer, "Good. I wouldn't know what to do in the case you leave. I care too much about you" 

Allowing to rest his head on Charles' shoulder Henry slumped his exhausted figure against the man, eyelids were growing in growing exhaustion. 

"You're everything to me, Char. I have dreams too with you in them. I wish they were real. They feel so real" He yawns in his hand. 

"Hm. Is that so?" Charles tiredly hums, seemingly exhausted as well yet somehow stays awake wrapping a protective arm around him drawing them closer, "I like you too. Maybe if you want when we get back to Earth… We can possibly do something together? After we get sorted, that is and get a good night's rest in you"

"Yeah. That would be so nice" 

"Good. That's a date then"

VH au

Remember Charles were chasing toppats with a gun in snow storm in Canada. The only moment that Charles being serious with a close up to his face when he say it's staring to get personal.

What did to Toppats did to get a cinnamon roll like Charlie do determine to take them down even at the cast of his own life. Do they steal or wreck his helicopter? Or did they did something dad to his dad galeforce?

We know in this timeline, the Government failed in stopping the Toppat's Rocket launch. And from how coordinated Gremlin, Wilhelm and Mr Villain was in stealing that random safe, that the Toppats were atleast used to their new lifestyle of stealing.

I don't think Galeforce was hurt or atleast too badly injured since we see him in his little tent at the end of VH, so I think Charles wanted to take down the Toppats because they were greatly hindering the Government at this point.

And Charles is a helicopter pilot for the Government, so he probably knows that his job comes with risks including death and lots of murder, so he probably wasn't intending to get himself killed at the Toppat Space Station, his impulsive brain knew of only one way to get into the Station and Henry and Charles didn't expect Jacked to attack them for the pod.

GRITVIN HEADCANONS!!!

I will be including some other AU series in this, like Toppat!Charles, Toppat!Henry and Dad!Charles, so prepare for tears and suffering 😃

So after their first mission together, Victoria can't get her mind off of the stupid pilot that's the General's favorite, not when she sees him with his friends and sees him being a dork and a goofball.

One day, while Charles does some training, like an ob, SHE makes the first move and asks if he'll be busy in a few days, because she has a day off. It stops Charles dead in his tracks as he reveals that he's MOSTLY sire he doesn't and asks why. She tells him that she would like to meet with him for lunch and see if all these rumors surrounding him are true; he may not be a part of her team, but he is a damn good pilot.

Charles, a little intimated and surprised, so he agrees. It's not that Victoria grabbed him by the collar and said, 'go out with me,' he just knows her to be a 'take no prisoners' Captain and just doesn't want to hurt her feelings by declining.

Their first real date is slightly awkward because Charles has never been with a girl and Victoria is usually with a whole team of people.

Going off of what we know(Henry's age is 28), Charles is 24 and Victoria is 26. Are the two aware of this age gap? Not really because they're both adults and are not afraid to be serious when a boundary is pushed.

Their second date is at Charles's house because he doesn't want to risk a bad meal. And because he's good at cooking good meals, like they taste good and are good for you.

She doesn't offer the second date. He does😊 And it goes smoother when Victoria realizes that Charles is insanely responsible for his age and rank.

They open up more and reveal their pasts to each other:

Charles, from his own memory, had parents for a while before they died in action and he was put in Galeforce's care, which he has been in ever since.

Victoria comes from a SERIOUSLY long line of soldiers, so her life has kind of been decided for her. EXCEPT FOR WHEN SHE WAS DENIED BY THE GREEN BERETS. It left her parents disappointed, but that lifted when she jojned the government and rose in rank to be Captain. Oh, yeah, and she lost two brothers while training to get into the government, so yeah.

Charles obviously can't relate too well, but is still sorry that she had to go through all that. Victoria shrugs it off because there's nothing that can be done, crying about it NOW still won't solve anything, and the only waynis forward, so c'est la vie.

Victoria turns the topic to Charles, asking if he's ever lost anyone, seeing as he's close to the rookie Bukowski twins and Rupert. Charles admits that he's actually new to the whole 'having friends' thing because he excelled in his training to be a pilot. Even with his ADD, he was insanely skilled and outclassed his fellow trainees, something that irritated them and made him lose favor with his peers.

After that emotional moment, the two decide to end the night with a movie before Charles drives Victoria home, as that's where he picked her up.

They continue to get closer, as in Victoria balances leading her team with seeing Charles, and the two can't help but wonder how long it will take for people to notice.

EVERYONE NOTICES RIGHT AWAY. It begins when they see the two start talking and dating and they realize the two are a thing when they do combat training and Victoria gets the upper hand on Charles and threatenes to break his arm for calling her a cute name. For visualization purposes, imagine that one staue of the fighting angels Neil Gaiman used in Good Omens, but it's Victoria pinning down Charles.

"Yield, Calvin?"

"You're lucky that I won't hit a girl with everyone watching!" (This is obviously a joke because he won't hit Victoria anyway)

(Victoria still raises an eyebrow.) "Am I?"

(Cue a small twist on Charles's arm and he screams loudly, making Victoria panic as she may have just broken his arm and crippled their best pilot.)

(Psych! Charles uses this opportunity to get her off and pin her without hurting her, calling his checkmate.)

The two have more in common than they realized: they like dogs, they aren't very good when it rains, neither want to leave the government even if given the chance, and neither are really fond of The Wall and their tactics.

Charles's pet name for Victoria is 'Salty,' because she eats more salty things than sweet, and Victoria's pet name for Charles is 'Chappy,' because he reminds her of Charlie Chaplin, someone they watch together when they're together.

Both have scars and those scars have stories that go with them. They showed each other these scars and where Charles sees his as a near miss, Victoria sees hers as being lucky.

If the two were dogs, Charles would be an oreo retriever and Victoria would be a Malinois.

The surprise from Galeforce and Canterbury was the most impactful as the latter saw Victoria as a pure bred soldier and saw Charles as a mutt, thus leading to him thinking she needed to raise her expectations a little(a lot), but Galeforce was actually very proud of Charles because he'd caught himself a girl and was treating her relatively well, which is surprising because Galeforce rsised him alone and didn't exactly have a lot of luck with the ladies himself.

Victoria has calmed Charles once while he had a panic attack and did so by letting him rest his head on her lap as she messed with his hair.

Their first kiss was VERY awkward as the two are somewhat touch starved, so you can only imagine how it is for them when they hug.

They did share a bed once, like they slept in the same bed, and it was the best night's sleep either had gotten in a very long time.

Victoria knows jiu-jitsu, and teaches it to Charles, who is, admittedly, not a huge fan.

On his bad days, Charles likes to rest his head on Victoria's lap and let her mess with his hair and even scratch his back. On her bad days, Victoria likes to either curl up with Charles under a blanket or lay on top of him or in his arms and lay him rub her back and ramble, because he talks about how brave she is, how strong she is, how the army would be boring without her and that he owes a lot to her because the Bukowski twins were one of her rookies and she just makes him happy, even if she could kill him whenever.

They're basically Jenna and Julian, but the shenanigans have a bit of army humor as that's where they met and work.

Onto Toppat!Charles!!

First off: she had to get used to seeing two ex-convicts being his friends, and then had to warm up to them, because she had a hard time trusting either at first before they realized that she and Charles were a thing.

Ellie was fun to talk to, once she got to know her.

The criminals tease the two because they're cute.

They once caught. Charles and Victoria kissing and had to run for their lives.

Did Henry want to tell Victoria that her boyfried had gotten kidnapped? No. Did he tell her anyway? Yes. Was it worth it? No, because she punched him in the face and asked him why he didn't save Charles when the Toppat leader was standing right in front of him.

She's even more devastated because they began hearing about a new leader that's doing some more damage. (Wonder who it is?)

The first time they see each other with Charles being the leader of the Toppat Clan is nothing short of tragic because half of him wanted to just run into her arms and cry his eyes out, but the other half of him wanted to attack, as she a part of the government. In a sad, brilliant moment in an attempt to make her go through less pain, he played the cold act and called her a lapdog and he's not surprised at her not being promoted to General.

The two into a very Ekko vs Jinx style fight instead, one where Victoria kicked Charles's ass and punched him senseless before they stopped. Instead of a grenade at point blank, though, all he did was push her off and tell her to kill him next time.

When she sees him again after he's brought back to Earth, she's more than relieved, even when Charles first ask of she's real and then apologizes for attacking her and saying what he said. She admits it didn't hurt her than bad and she actually commends him for being smart. And tells him that he doesn't have to keep up the act anymore because she's not leaving him that easily.

She RARELY lets him out of her sight after he's back from his mission and brings down the clan for reals.

Toppat!Henry TIME!!

In this timeline, the Grotvin train has been going strong for a few years and the two are mostly shameless at being a couple, mostly because they just don't do PDA

She's a little disappointed in him for not shooting or arresting Henry, but is at least in his corner when he beats himself up about it.

When Canterbury gets to the museum before Galefore arrives, she and Charles just say, 'hi,' before she warns him to not die, or else she'll tie him up and put him in a shopping cart and push him around in it until he gets discharged.

She's PISSED when she sees Charles move away from the helicopter he has to guard, but it goes away when he disappears and is found with some cracked ribs and the shrunken sapphire.

She's chosen to keep an eye on him because he listens to her the most and isn't too rambunctious, which is great because she wants Charles to lay down and stay down and watch Charlie Chaplin with her.

Does Henry know about their relationship? Yes, and he's not too cheered about it because he called dibs first.

When Henry attacks the base and draws out Charles, he uses his girlfriend as a meat shield, being the smart coward he is. Charles is instantly afraid, but Victoria shouts at him to shoot anyway.

It hurts to be used against her boyfriend, but it hurts even worse when Charles offers a game to Henry, one that involves Charles leaving and Henry trying to find him.

Even when she begs him not to, saying she can't lose him too, Charles kisses her, which riles Henry up big time because that's his pilot not hers.

When they part, Charles sees Victoria about to breakdown and tells her to keep being strong, giving her the keys to his house and telling her to let go when no one's looking; her team needs her to be strong and she can't give the Toppats the satisfaction. He kisses her again on the forehead and leaves, the Toppats leaving with him and Henry glaring at Victoria because he's a child.

She helps the others as much as she can before she's excused, and she drives right to Charles's house and locks herself inside. She goes to his room and lays in his bed and lets go, crying because her boyfriend is as good as gone.

And she’s right because seeing him hanging in a cell by his wrists and being tortured is unbearable, something that causes her to snap on someone on her team and attack one of them, beating them senseless. It gets worse when Henry decides to be an ass and show her pictures of him and Charles kissing and Henry just being close to Charles.

Her loyalty goes from Canterbury's to Galeforce's because he also wants to get Charles back.

She's not allowed on the rescue mission, because if she gets hurt or dies and Charles sees it, that's going to DESTROY him, so she’s given the location of the cabin and told to wait there for them.

Galeforce arrives LATE a few days later and is carrying an unconscious Charles, who she helps get in a bed before calling it a night.

They're reunion is a BEAUTIFUL affair when Galeforce leaves because they both cry and hug each other and Victoria cannot stop kissing Charles on the face, like those pecky kisses that are quick and soft. He apologizes for leaving her alone and for being stupid, but Victoria has him stop so she can say she's just glad he's home and that she's holding him in her arms. And so she can look for a cart to push him around in.

They stay together until Rupert and the twins arrive and Victoria later helps him or of a picnic attack when he gets a call from Henry.

They both leave when Henry arrives to the woods, but Charles ultimately fights Henry alone and falls into the ocean.

She's just as terrified as Galeforce when Charles is brought ashore and brought to tears when he coughs up water and is clearly alive.

The ending is a little different too because Charles doesn't go out to face Ellie; Victoria decides to be a badass and take the Right Hand Lady out herself.

Don't ask.

She takes time off too(because Canterbury and Galeforce ordered her to) and spends it with her boyfriend and his emotional support dog.

Lots of bad nights and lots of days filled with nonsense and Charlie Chaplin and Looney Tunes

This isn’t right. None of this is okay.

Those were Charles’s first thoughts when he found out what happened to Right Hand- Green.

No amount of counterarguments can ever change his mind on one fact, that being that he never, ever deserved this. It’s not okay, they stripped him from who he used to be and turned him into a puppet, making him dance to their strings without realizing it.

But he never dared to approach the general about it.

He would get overpowered easily and he can guilt-trip him into going along with what he believes, though it never lasts long thankfully. He doesn’t know what could happen if he was under his influence permanently.

He would always say things like “it’s for the world’s own good” or “it’s in the name of the law”, but none of this feels like it. This is utterly wrong in every form.

He may be naive, but not that naive as most thought. Even when it gets to him sometimes.

Everyday he had been trying to help Green out from his brainwashed state, he wanted to help, no, he needed to help. He couldn’t let this go any further.

But he doesn’t want to die either. If he dies, he can’t help anymore.

Days after days of planning, strategizing, ways he can help the cyborg out of this while also still hanging onto his privilege of life.

There has to be a way, there has to be. There’s always one right?

“We have to find him! He has to be out there somewhere!” Charles practically begged, concern written all over his face, tears threatening to spill from his eyes.

He had been at it for couple minutes at most, or was it hours even? He couldn’t remember, the argument felt like it lasted an eternity but it also had the feeling of quickness to it simultaneously. It’s just been a few hours and he noticed that there was something wrong with Rupert, he couldn’t find him anywhere on the premises. He called him multiple times, and all he hears is a voice message saying that he should call back later. None of his co-workers haven’t seen him either, or aren’t concerned whatsoever. It’s like he vanished off from the face of the earth entirely.

Galeforce shook his head, the pilot doesn’t know if the pity on his face was genuine or another facade made by him to play with his emotions. It was definitely the latter possibility, or maybe it isn’t. Maybe he really did care for the soldiers. “Charlie, even if there’s a chance he’s still alive, we’re not going to go and try to find him, heartless I know, but it’s for the better good.”

“Better good?!” The male let the water stuck in his irises escape when he blinked, the bubbles streaming down his cheeks as his voice raised. “He’s one of your best soldiers and you’re not concerned with him missing?!”

“Charlie, if you still think he’s just missing, then how do you explain this?” The general held up a hat with the emblem that signifies someone’s position in the government, but there was a difference to it - it was covered in dried stains of blood.

Charles felt his body stiffen, almost unmoving like a statue. “N-no, are you sure it’s just from his struggling?” He refused to believe this, he refused to, he refused to! This can’t be happening…

Galeforce sighed, still holding the bloodied hat out for him to see. “Unfortunately, a possibility like that is impossible to consider as long as this is still around.” His expression held guilt, genuine or not, it doesn’t matter at this point. What matters is the safety of his co-worker.

But is he still alive?

That’s one question he desperately wanted to seek for.

“We, we can’t determine his condition based on one thing!” He protested, more tears were shed as rage boiled inside of him to a dangerous degree.

Galeforce’s stare never left him, it was almost - actually no, unsettling. “There’s nothing we can do, Charlie. This hat is irrefutable proof that he’s no longer here with us…I’m sorry.”

“He has to be alive…”

“I said it once, and I’ll say it again, you need to let it go. He’s not coming back. I’ll leave you be to think about what I said.” The general then left, taking the blood stained and ruined hat along with him, leaving the pilot by himself and his tears and emotions.

Impulsively, he squeezed his elbow with one hand so hard he was surprised no blood came out from the amount of force he was putting on his limb. Was Galeforce this heartless to not care about his soldier? Would he go as far as that?

What happened to the caring one he knew?

Why had it come to this?

Why…

Charles doesn’t know anything anymore.

Okay, maybe not anything, but he felt like he lost so much purpose  for not being able to help Green…

…or him.

The only times he can truly feel at peace is when he flies around in his helicopter. In the sky, all of his troubles fade away. The clouds give him some form of hope that somehow, someway, he’ll find a solution to this.

He always liked the sky, no one can hurt him up there.

Anyways, the air isn’t what’s bothering him at the moment.

Something horrible happened just yesterday.

The Toppats attacked the government to get Green back.

Now, under normal circumstances, he would’ve been relieved, as this gives Green a way to escape the government’s grasp and return to his former self.

But what occurred wasn’t what he would call “normal circumstances.”

Henry Stickmin, the leader of the Toppats, was captured.

Galeforce intended to use him as bait to get his right hand lady to initiate another attack so he can get both of them and ship them off to the Wall, as part of a deal he had with the warden, Dmitri Petrov, he believed that was his name.

Henry hadn’t said much since his capture, which is most likely because of Green. The distraught look he had when he heard and seen what had become of his former friend…it reminded him of when he heard that Rupert’s dead (he still doubts this, but he’s starting to believe it with every passing day).

Charles’s determination to save Green have increased since this event, he couldn’t afford to endanger anymore lives due to his fear of getting killed, he couldn’t…he was supposed to be someone who protects the helpless right? And at this very moment in time, the Toppats are the ones who are helpless.

The pilot headed to where the cells are located, nodding to the two soldiers who were put on guard duty to let them know he’s trustworthy, and allowed him to pass.

These cells used to contain Toppats, he remembered every one of their faces, how utterly defeated they looked, every little word he managed to pick up…now these confined places no longer have them. Executed for not obliging with the interrogations. By their own friend no less.

How many lives were ruined or taken away because of Galeforce’s actions?

Countless, that’s the only word he can find to describe it.

Charles stopped at the cell that contains the leader, sitting on the bed provided in the small and cramped confines, facing away from him and by the looks of it, he was fiddling with a piece of clothing, the collar of his shirt if he glances at him in the right angle. “Hey, Henry.”

Said man slowly turned around to get a glimpse of his new visitor, then whipped back to lock his gaze on the wall again, like it somehow became more important than anything else in the world. “What do you want?”

Can’t back out now. Charles reminded himself. You asked for this. He took a deep breath to calm his nerves. This isn’t Galeforce or Dr. V or anyone who’s scary, he’s okay, it’s just Henry.

“I wanted to let you know that…you’re not alone.” No one’s listening, it’s them both alone.

His words prompted Henry to turn back around, eyes wide with disbelief. “You’re joking right?” He asked with a scoff. Apparently he hasn’t believed him yet, understandable.

Charles masked his face with a look of determination, hoping that it would be enough to let the leader understand his intentions. “No, I’m completely serious about this.” His tone was firm, if his expression wasn’t the key, then his voice should be the nail in the coffin.

Silence reigned for while, sitting on its throne as the two males stared blankly at each other, every now and again the pilot broke eye contact to see if anyone was in the hallway or listening in on them, and thankfully neither of those had been activated yet.

Eventually, the silence was kicked off the chair of power when Henry spoke.

“I knew you weren’t under his control after all.”

Charles smiled softly, to of which the other returned. “I couldn’t stand by and watch, none of this is right. I’ll get you and Right out of here.” It felt weird to call Green by his old name, but it felt reliving too.

Henry nodded, standing up from the bed and walked over to him, or at least, as close as he could get when he’s behind bars. “You’ll help us?”

“You have my word.”

“How’s it going to go?”

“I actually haven’t figured that out yet.” Charles said sheepishly, playing with the fluff the encircled his jacket. “I just needed to let you know you’re not alone here.”

Henry’s smile never faltered. “How about we develop one now?”

Charles took one more glance around, making sure to cover everywhere in the hallway of cells before nodding. “Yeah, it feels good to work with you again Henry.”

“Likewise.”

Two days now, and nothing of the sorts have happened.

The plan has to be flawless, if executed in a poor manner, there’s no second chances or redos.

Which is why the plan is taking two days, maybe even more if nothing has been figured out today.

“Is there any potential escape routes we can take?” Henry asked, a scrap of paper in one hand and a pen in another, Charles had given him those so they can keep track of the progress they’re making and the possibilities they have to consider.

“My helicopter is one option, but I’ll have to hide you and Right inside, which’ll be difficult since even during the nights and early mornings, soldiers would be patrolling the area, and I’m pretty sure most of them aren’t on our side.” The pilot responded, racking his brain for another way to transport them out of the base before the raid could commence. His right hand lady would be planning it, and Henry wants to minimize as much damage done to the Toppats as possible.

“You think you can get me some military clothing and disguise me as a soldier to take me along with you undetected?” Henry proposed next, scribbling on the piece of paper he was given to rule out the option he wrote.

“Then I’ll have to take someone here with me, knock them out, and put their clothes on you. And how are you going to get your belongings out with you?” Charles questioned, this can’t go wrong, if it does he’ll never forgive himself ever.

“I’ll…figure it out.” The leader said, drawing something on the paper.

“So we’re going along with this, you sure?”

“Absolutely.” Henry glanced up from drawing, eyes widening with fear. “Watch out!”

“Huh?” Charles didn’t react in time and was smacked on the head, collapsing against the steel bars of the cell and slumping onto the ground, black teasing around the edges of his eyes.

Before he could get a chance to get up, he was picked up and thrown to the wall, his fighting spirit fading fast as the darkness was overwhelming.

The last thing he saw before his eyes fluttered shut was Henry’s distressed face, and an evil grin of someone he used to look up to.
