Okay, so I have a humongous headache. There is so much information out there on service dogs that I don’t know what to believe anymore. A lot of handlers say that service dogs shouldn’t be your first option. It should be your last option. Which I don’t understand it because they’re basically saying that that person should suffer for years. For some people, medication doesn’t work very well. It is harmful to their bodies. It’s also expensive. Money adds up. I think that people shouldn’t judge whether if a person has a service dog for their first option or for their last option. We don’t know their struggles. We don’t know their whole life story. Also, saying that you should go to the doctor to see if a service dog is right for you I don’t think it’s a good thing because the ADA doesn’t state that you should go to the doctor. Sure, going to the doctor can help you figure out if you need a service dog and if you are disabled, but you don’t have to. Also, can we stop judging handler’s just because their dog made a mistake or their dog is not in a perfect heel. Dogs are not perfect. They’re not robots. They make mistakes just like we make mistakes. Everybody is on a different path. For some training takes a while. For some training can go quick. Every dog is different and every handler is different. I think we need to stop spreading false information or saying our opinion on things and say facts and not be toxic. We are all disabled. Let’s all be kind to one another. If someone ask you a question tell them facts not your opinion. If they ask for your opinion then you can say your opinion. Löfte has been going to work with me now for a week. We have a routine down and a schedule. Löfte is loving coming to work and not being home by herself anymore. We are working on her placing longer and longer. Today we got to 20 minutes before I gave her a break. It’s important to go slow when training and not to fast. We started at a minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, and finally 20 minutes. She’s been doing great. I ask her to place randomly while doing school work and even had her place while cooking dinner. She’s loving life. She���s getting spayed at the end of next month so I’m a bit nervous about that. But we got this.

Regrettably I haven't been on top of Marvel's training the past week😞 we went down to the bus stop with my little brother yesterday and she did AMAZING. Her heel was great AND while we were sitting at the bus stop Marvel sat and gave me her attention without me asking for it! I got o excited and gave her lots of treats. We're back though guys! Here's Marvel looking dramatic, but she's actually watching TV😂 sorry I didn't post much the past like 2 days, but it was hectic and my anxiety has been shit. Last night at work I got threatened and got (somewhat) unintentionally spit on. I'm back though! Here's a plus though: more of Marvel's gear should be in today or tomorrow! There were lots of funny looking monster hoomans out tonight, but even though it was raining we still went for a walk to let stranger's put yummy smelling things in my little hooman's bag!🐶~Marvel . Marvel got to take my little siblings out trick-or-treating with me(even though it was raining) lol she did AMAZING! She kept a great heel for the majority of the time, there were a few hiccups when a car/motorcycle would drive by. I was kind of thinking she'd be scared of all the kids in costumes, but she was actually just curious! I think the rain might have helped keep the numbers at bay though. This evening Marvel and I went up to the park with my dad and siblings. I had her headcollar on, but not her vest so we mostly worked on some socializing. One of my friends and her friends happened to be there practicing cymbals so she got some loud noise exposure also😊 while we were eating Marvel randomly ended up going under my seat so she did work on "under" a little but too😊 overall it was a good little outing😄 . .~~~~~~~~~~~~~. Marvel does great when she's around @moxieroberts , but she's very shy and almost hyper-vigilant when she's not there so I struggle to get her attention.
