Setting up your CSM (applies to ANY CSM) for Success. MARKS (usually made with nail polish). Let’s look at this image. Don’t worry at first glance it seems a bit chaotic. The clock positions remain where they are on a clock but here we see the 72 needle slot cylinder where the average heel/toe marks are 6 needles on each side of the 6 o’clock position. That an easy ribber dial alignment for regular ribbing (full pitch) has an ALIGN MARK for easy confirmation of the Ribber setup alignment on my machine. The Tappet Target mark on the cylinder is 8 cylinder needle slots before 3 o’clock and is used during selvage to engage or disengage the Tappet IN/OUT switch (the Tappet requires 4 ribber or 8 cylinder slots in order to activate/deactivate ribbing). My 6 o’clock position on my machine is aligned with the ribber accessory mounted on the inside of the cylinder to make the small working space on the inside of the machine easier later with whatever Heel Forks or Weights used for Heel/Toes. I love taking some time on Sunday afternoon to plan my week. I feel much more prepared and successful with my goals! Here are some tips and hacks that make it a smoother process for me: ✏️ I use a fold-out key to remind me of my color coding. I can see, from anywhere in my planner, what color goes with what category. Using color helps me keep track of important events/tasks and also lets me see if I’m neglecting an area! ✏️ I keep a “master list” of semi-regular tasks to pull out when I do my weekly planning. After all non-negotiables are in place, I can fill in the less urgent things. ✏️ Having a focus or intention for the week has been really helpful for personal goals! Meal prep morning snack is low fat frigo cheeseheads string cheese for 1 point with either 0 point fruit or veggie - Lunch is either 4 oz chicken breast (3 points)with 1/2 c roasted spaghetti squash (no oil) for 0 points and 4 oz green beans for 0 points OR leftover mole chicken chili with 1 T sour cream for 8 points total. Chili for days with lower point dinner. Chicken for days with a higher point dinner.
