Unpopular opinion that will send all the James Stans after me. I honestly think the casting for a young James (the one we see during SWM) to be fine. I see nothing wrong with his looks and he low-key looks like a version of Harry.

I know, I know it doesn't have all the book canon looks but I say otherwise it's a fine casting job.

I'm just going to pretend Bigger Than The Whole Sky is an ANH era Tarkin/TK-421 song because it fits and it's a lot less painful than the miscarriage interpretation but there's so much grief in the song just applying it to Taylor makes it impossible to listen because I imagine her in so much pain and I just don't like that. So I'm just going to believe it's Tarkin after hearing the rebels killed TK-421.

So I'll say words I don't believe(In the song, it connects back to losing the person due to not praying, but after Of MSE-6 and Men, I see Tarkin's "Evacuate? In our moment of triumph?" very different. Because he's goes from a 1d villian to relatively old man who had just fallen quickly and deeply for a man he knew was manipulating him-but wasn't going to leave him. They were both making plans. And suddenly, he's alone again. And work is crazy. Obi-Wan is dead, they're tracking Leia, preparing for a battle, barely a quiet moment to mourn. So when faced with they could blow us up, we could die? It probably sounds pretty damn blissful. But he has to pretend like Bast is crazy. )

(Like it's kinda crazy that I went from Tarkin is overconfident evil to nope he's compromised by grief and shouldn't be in charge of a single life because he clearly chose the khs route)

But yeah. Gosh, I love being able to listen to BTTWS now. It's so hauntingly beautiful.
