Annskwksmsnhq the idea of sg prowl and Springer being a very loving mother/son duo who also do war crimes together is SO FUNNY Springer excitedly calls his mom to tell prowl how his nine step plan to overthrow impactor is going and prowl is soooooo proud of his sweet little baby! Look at him!! All grown up and killing people 🥰🥰

Optimus has to keep them apart bc otherwise prowl would call Optimus annoying once and Springer would kill Optimus over it.

(I also like to think about sg prowl as a bit of a bimbo, yeah he's smart! But getting him to actually use that brain of his for anything other then watching out for Springer and tracking down tarantulas (for 4 million years of missed child support) is almost impossible)

- SG!Kup is a whiskey grandpa. He pounds hard liquor like it's his job and is probably a very violent, mean drunk. He begrudgingly takes on Springer as the leader of his Wreckers because his mommy is scary and also Springer is every bit as savage and smart as Prowl is

- I don't think Tarantulas owes child support. SG!Tara is a sweetie and probably desperately wanted to keep Springer in his life, raise him to be good and hoping he wouldn't turn out as twisted as his psychopath carrier. But that didn't pan out, obvi... idk if Prowl killed him or kidnapped Springer or what, but his not being involved in their sparkling's life was not by choice

- One thing that hasn't changed is that First Aid is still so thirsty for Springer, but instead of wanting to climb him like a tree he's obsessed with the idea of strapping him down and dissecting him 🤭

I was thinking about the 'oldest OCs' reblog and realized I had a huge bin of old art lying in the corner of my apartment, so I dug it up and was able to find the original art of Rapid, along with her supposed linemates that I vaguely remembered existed but didn't remember details for because I hadn't ever used them in RPs like I did Rapid.

.... yeah. They're from 1995 or 1996 (predating SG, who's from 1997), and they... didn't age well. But what can I say, I was a kid and I had no idea how to handle unique robot shapes.

Their names were Rapid Roadrunner, Time Tarantula, Nail Nautilus, Dart Dolphin, Lance Lionfish, and Stab Stonefish. I... don't know what my deal with alliteration was, but it is what it is.

So I decided to give child me a hand and do some very, very quick thumbnails (mostly just for proportions, excluding weapons/busters/etc.), now that I have a slightly better grasp of silhouettes and at least trying to get those silhouettes to evoke their animals better.

I laughed to see Nail Nautilus, given I've got Nail Woman now. With such a similar theme, I just had to retroactively add some of those details in. The back spikes of the original were supposed to extend into tendrils with shell on (I think I gave them a 'shell off' version because of Crystal Snail).

I may redo Time Tarantula again later, as I'm not too happy with it, but needed to get something down. An improvement over the first, for sure, but not quite hitting the mark for me. I just wanted to avoid copying Web Spidus' shape.

Fun fact a lot of female spiders eat or attack their mates while/after mating (so much so that male spiders have EVOLVED to figure out how to survive mating season, such as trapping their mates under some webs or giving their mates food and then doing the mating while the female is eating) so ITS QUITE LIKELY PROWL ATE TARANTULAS DURING OR AFTER HE PUT EGGS IN PROWL IF HE DID THAT. Imagine the horror of the autobots when they walk in on Prowl feasting upon Tarantulas' corpse. He probably has an oral fixation bc of this!

also bitty twins SG!Arachnid and Blackarachnia TOTALLY ride around on the back of Prowls spider half while he carries around their chonky bitty brother in a sling or something by his chest. Also Prowl could totally just.... spin his sticky webs anywere and do almost anything with them. Need a place to put your sleeping bitties? Spin a hammock on the ceiling! Blankets? SPIN ONE OF THOSE! Need to tie up your conjunx and fuck him silly? CONGRATS BABE YOUR GETTING WRAPPED UP IN SPIDERWEBS.

Shoots at him or throws a knife and Prowl leaps out of the way and skitters off.

HOW IS THE POLL SET UP?

The poll will have an initial 48 candidates.

Round One that will last a day with 24 match ups. There will be a one day break afterwards sharing any highlights of that round (and giving me time to make the other).

Round Two will have twelve matchups lasting a day and a similar break set up.

Round Three will have three match ups and last a day.

This will leave us with three finalists. We will have three days of elimination matches leaving the two finalists.

The finals with the remaining two deadbeats will last a week after which we crown the Most Deadbeat Parent of Transformers!

SG Earthspark: What if there was something like the Swindle episode before the reveal, but Swindle does actually care about the kids' wellbeing and is actually trying to get to Hardtop? It's just that these kids are affiliated with the Autobots and G.H.O.S.T, so maybe they can just go in there...... Maybe at the end Bee convinces them that it was a mor ebaseline universe kind of event?

(Not sure if i can do that, since i've thought about having the Tarantulas episode and the kids' takeaway at the end would be similiar. Not sure how to include characters like Swindle and Breakdown, when the kids aren't really supposed to meet Cons before Tarantulas and Shockwave.....)

•|Besides being late entering one of the Universes, sometimes, someone will get some sort of illness. It seems to go away pretty quickly, but for Optimus and some others, it hasn’t- and it’s kind of been getting worse.|•

•|The Autobots do have a few human friends in both Universe 1 and 2, but none of them become guardians to any of the humans- mainly because the human buddies don’t get involved, and they’re all only occasionally seen- the only actual one that sticks around being Jan, Star Saber’s kid.|•

Earthspark Taratulas is more of a English gentleman scholar and scientist who drinks tea and a bit weird. I have mix feelings because I was fully expecting him to be creepy and leery but instead, if he was a different character, I’d be cool with him BUT I don’t know… he is just, someone completely new.

Bumblebee did say he was his ‘least favourite’ but that could mean a lot if things. Perhaps there is a sude we haven’t seen yet of this spider creeper.

Nick Roche retweeted ES Tarantulas will the naughty quote from the Wreckers saga and that kind of thing is his whole deal in every single adaptation (except SG), so why would anyone expect what we actually got? He's been hanging out in a cemetery.

I feel like, if they didn't actually want the creepy mad scientist... Why even use Tarantulas specifically?

I get that adaptations don't need to carbon copy nor should they all of the time... But I still want to be able to see hints of the original. There's the thread of wanting connection like the IDW1 version of Mesothulas-Tarantulas, but not much else.

If it had been someone else, this would be fine.

I'm hoping we at least get his demented little giggle at some point.

☕: got any thoughts on recent toys?

Stuff I recently bought or stuff that's recently come out? Eh, why not both.

Stuff I recently got: well this is going back to TFN since I have been broke since then, haha. (Not got that TR Arcee yet.) I am still in love with all my KP cassettes. I just. I fuckin LOVE G1 cassettes, they are so fun and charming and playful. I cannot believe I have these still. Glit is obviously an old grail for me so I adore him. Rosanna is gorgeous, she's SO pink and SO cute, plus I love the Eject/Rewind mold. The head pops up! God I want a G1 Rewind. And Sundor is so shiny and lovely, the whole set is just perfect.

I also picked up a Cybertron Vector Prime there, which is a toy I kept putting off because I was like uggggh I'll get the Takara version one day! But I wound up getting him complete and very cheap in the end because god knows WHEN that will happen, and honestly, I'm so glad. He's really one of the standouts of the Unicron Trilogy lines. His alt is so fun, he looks amazing in both modes, his minicon Safeguard is great. One day I'll get that gorgeous Takara deco, but for now I'm just glad to have him.

God I bought too many toys. Uhhh I got Thrilling 30 stealth bomber Megs, who is a beautiful little lad. He's so small but so well articulated! And that design is a fave. I got Thrilling 30 Brainstorm too for nearly nothing. He's HUGE. And so close to the IDW design! His transformation is so neat as well, it's very simple and elegantly done. Legacy Tarantulas, that was the one brand new toy I got, and he's just perfect, the ultimate version of the original pre-redesign BW version.

Stuff recently announced/out: I still want that Override, she looks amaaazing, even with the limited hip articulation. I will 100% pick up the Tarn at some point, especially now we know there's gonna be more DJD mainline stuff down the line. That IDW2 Flamewar will be mine at some point, I'll pay jacked up aftermarket prices for her, sure. I'm really not a Shattered Glass person but I want the SG Ravage to repurpose as Glit. lmao. The Needlenose looks nice enough if a little clunky and I really want a Needlenose, so he's on my list. The Earthspark stuff, I'm waiting to see in-hand pictures for them, but I for sure want that Twitch. Oh, here's a less positive one to end off on: man that fucking G1 Sunbow exclusive two-pack of Orion and Trion was overpriced, I mean I'd like a G1 Orion as a neat little novelty but they wanted HOW much? The AT isn't even great looking IMO. Nah. Pass.
